I just left Utah this morning after spending a full week there. I drove through many beautiful small Mormon pioneer towns and kept thinking about exactly what this video is explaining. I felt heaviness and sadness knowing that all of these folks were and continue to be deceived by the enemy. Everywhere I stopped, the people were the kindest people I've ever come across. I pray that the Lord opens their spiritual eyes to the truth of Jesus Christ and the gospel. 🙏
Yes and no is the answer. Depends on the person. The Mormon faith teaches the bible plus it's own stuff. So do many other faiths. It's a personal decision between you and God. Whatever culture and family you grow up in doesn't matter. God reaches anyone who wants to know the truth. I grew up LDS and am now a Christian. My family is "Mormon". My brother and sister are not saved but good people. I believe my mother is. In the end, it's up to God. He draws us near to him. I ended up going to a Baptist Church and got saved, but I lived a very wholesome life. Courtesy of my upbringing and my personal values. Everyone is different. God can and does reach many people. It's not our job to change people, it's our job to love them.😊
@@christinwatson3037 actually the answer to the question is NO. The type of life you live by human standards is irrelevant. Our job is to share the true gospel of salvation by grace through faith. Works play no part. I’m glad God led you out of that cult and revealed His truth to you.

This video greatly misrepresents Latter-day Saints, and does not reflect their theology. Their theology is wholly consistent with the Bible. It is however completely different than how Protestants interpret the Bible.
@dog As far as I know, actual Christians don't claim their daily devotional is on par with the Bible itself, or worse, it corrects some errors in the Bible.
And uh… where in the Bible does it say not to use other books? I quote the final words of John: “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” (John 21:25)
@@KnuttyEntertainment 2 Tim 3:16-17 says that the Scripture Is inspired by God. Right? So we use it to teach about Jesus. So if there are things not written, should I rely on those that are not written to be the basis of teachings about Jesus? Who inspired them by the way? Take note that we are talking about beliefs based on the Scripture ( inspired by God ) and not just on nutty entertainment books inspired by just anyone Galatians 1:8-9 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. So if there’s anyone who use other book other than the Bible to teach about Jesus, let them be accursed.
@@KnuttyEntertainment Where in the Bible does it say that we are to use any other book as our spiritual authority than the Bible we have now? I'll wait.
You are NOT biblical Christian if you DO NOT believe in the God of the Bible (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and what He says. IDOLATRY is any other false God. In other words, any person that creates their own definition of God and ignores the Bible's, is worshiping a false God and artificial Christ. The first 3 chapters of the Gospel of John makes it very CLEAR who the living God actually is. The last 3 chapters prove it TRUE. 💜✝️💜
You ever notice God is a PLURAL word in the original HEBREW writings of Genesis 1:1 😲 Totally matches John 1:1 and the trinity description (one God, consisting of 3 persons = God the Father + God the Son + Holy Spirit)
Latter-day Saints do believe in the God of the Bible, they just have a different interpretation. Rather than the trinitarian belief that God is one being in three persons, Latter-day Saints believe God is three beings acting as one person. And that we are all children of God and can participate in that same godly character. Jesus is the Old Testament Jehovah/YHWH, the greatest son of El/Elyon/Elohim (though elohim is also just the common word for god(s) in Hebrew) by following his example, we can become gods, one like how Jesus and the Father are one. To quote Jesus’s final lesson in John: (John 17:20-23) “20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.“ And you are right, Elohim is plural, that’s because there are multiple beings united in the same name, multiple gods, of whom Jehovah is the greatest. Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let *us* make man in *our* image, after *our* likeness” (Psalm 82:1&6) “God standeth in the congregation of the Mighty [Elyon, the father of Jehovah]; he judgeth among the gods.” “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High [Elyon].” In other words, Jesus/Jehovah is our elder brother, the greatest and Only Begotten of the Father’s children. Psalm 89:6 “For who in the heaven can be compared unto Jehovah? who among the sons of Elyon can be likened unto Jehovah?” John 10:34 “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” Deuteronomy 10:17 “For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward” Romans 8:16-17 “16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Deuteronomy 32:8-9&43 “8 When the Most High [Elyon] gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. 9 But the Jehovah’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance. 43 Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people’s land.” So yeah, Jehovah/Jesus and Elyon/the Father are separate gods, united as One God, and we too can become gods by participating in God.

@@KnuttyEntertainment Lol, knutty just because you say it's true, doesn't make it so 🤣. How we as Christians discern what is true and what is a lie, is by using God's perfect word as the standard. And Mormonism in light of the Bible, shows that it contradicts even the most basic tenets of Christianity. It's quite telling that you list the works of the Mormon cult as some kind of justification for the heresy that it promotes. I will leave you with the goto verse I use with all cult members: Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

@@KnuttyEntertainment There are multiple big problems that I have with Mormonism, but let's look at one of the biggest applicable contradictions between Mormonism doctrine and the Holy Bible: how we are saved. The Book of Mormon has the following two verses. 2 Nephi 25:23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do. Moroni 10:32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if you shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind, and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. The Bible has the following verses. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Mormonism states that we are saved after all we can do, that God's grace will be "sufficient" for us only if we we deny ourselves and love God as we ought to: basically, after all we can do. Mormonism combines grace and works in such a way that you need works to enter into Heaven and God's grace to make up for your failures. If you don't have works, God won't give his grace. In a sense, our effort to do good works earns God's grace. The Bible says that we are saved by grace without works, that our salvation is not from us at all, so no one can boast. The way one receives grace, not being through works or effort to do well, is therefore entirely faith. Furthermore, in being saved, God is the one who changes us and builds up our works, as we are his "workmanship." The Bible combines grace and works in such a way that works are completely independent of the requirement to become saved, yet still present as a result of salvation. This is an unreconciliable difference between the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. One states that works are needed for grace to be sufficient, and the other states that no works are required to recieve grace, that works are the result of salvation. From a biblical point of view, saying that works are necessary for grace to be sufficient is heresy, implying that one needs works to recieve grace when faith in Christ is how one recieves grace, and not works.
Witnessing to a Mormon is frustrating because of the 3 degrees of glory teaching --"salvation" to them is levels, not in or out. But the key passages that one need to share are these: Rev. 20:15 (name in the book) and Rev. 21:24-27 (name not in the book). This brings us back to the black and white instead of the levels suggested.
Sorry you left. I hope you can one day see that this church is a perfect church run by imperfect people. Christ restored His church on this earth to prepare the world for His return. I invite you to read the last chapter of 2 Nephi and reconsider the gospel of Christ in your life once again
@@alexlintu26 I have read the Bible. Christ makes it very clear what we must do to be saved. It is more than just saying, "Lord, Lord." We must have faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice, repent, be born of water and of fire, and endure to the end. Those are the steps to salvation. I am imperfect and make mistakes, but through Jesus Christ, I can repent each day and become better than I was the day before.

I've always considered 7th day to be brothers. I was guilty in my younger day, following men's traditions and not God's will. They say, if you worship on Sunday, your receiving the mark of the beast. I think in time they will shy away from that. There is a lot of Sabbath confusion out there not in just 7th day. The argument of Hell? To this day, it's a debatable issue. 7th day ers believe dieing without Christ is very bad. Protestants and evangelicals also believe the same thing. Burning, could mean anguish. When you realize you've been resurrected and you face the Almighty and he says depart. How will you feel? Would you feel the heat of anguish? Probably x 1000. Then imagine you and I looking at each other screaming, and writhing in pain day in and day out for eternity. Even though I deserve a punishment like that. I can also believe that God is Just and loving. It's hard to fathom such a punishment. However, maybe there are levels of hell? I bring this up because someone that's lived a good life but rejected Christ all their life, would they have the same punishment as say, Hitler? God is no respector of persons. Yes, I beleieve I eternal life, but the opposite, is it really a litteral torment? As I said. Being resurrected and facing God is a hard to comprehend punishment on its own. I don't think 7th day is a cult because they don't believe in littral burning for ever. We all believe eternal judgment.
Absolutely true! Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints don't believe that their works save them. It is only through the blood of Christ (or His Atonement) that we are saved. But if we love Christ (who is God), then we will keep His commandments and to do that, my friend, requires work. Thus, works are necessary for your salvation, but it is not what saves you. It is only the grace of Christ that saves us
@@jeffs4483 I literally just explained this above. Go read James 2:22-26 and let's have a discussion about the importance of works. Works don't save you; only Christ's grace does that. But works are still extremely important as they are an outward demonstration of the kind of disciple you are to God.
Out of the tens of comments that I have read, asides from literally one person, I have found that everyone in the comments section believes that Mormons are not Christians. I've never seen so much unity in a comments section on religion.

@@paulmartin8784 This discussion has a deeper meaning than just determining if a certain group if saved. It's determining if their doctrine is good. We don't want corrupt doctrine to spread to ourselves and other Christians, so it's important to accurately judge if the doctrine is good.
I guess believing that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the only thing that saves us in this world is wrong then huh? And that by obeying His commandments is pretty culty, right? Cause that's what these so-called 'anti-christian' mormons believe in!
There is a lot said in this video that is simply not true. I only know because I converted to Christianity from the church of LDS. It has always perplexed me how much hatred some Christians have for LDS and how much the LDS was persecuted by those who are not supposed to judge, but only to forgive. To me, Christianity just feels right, which is why I converted. However, when I see the constant negative feedback to LDS it is honestly off-putting.
So I do have a question for those who watch this: if members of the church believe in the atonement of Christ their whole lives and that is what saves them like all of us believe, would we be saved? Or be sent to hell
You're oversimplifying in order to obfuscate. Members of the LDS faith must be baptized, confirmed, receive the priesthood (if male), undergo the temple ordinances, be married in the temple, and continue to observe all things to the day they die (or receive the second anointing, wherein their salvation is made sure). That's not the Atonement of Christ. That's legalism plus. EDIT: and yes, I would believe that you would go to Hell if you believe that Christ's sacrifice alone was not sufficient for perfect reconciliation with God.
@@BrendonKingit isn't an oversimplification of things. It is by Christ's atonement that we are saved, period. To access that power more fully in our lives, however, requires ordinances such as baptism and entering into His holy temple to make more sacred covenants. But it is only by the grace of God that we are saved in the end, despite all we can do.
If you look at Joseph Smith, and what he said, you can clearly see that his inspiration did not come from God, but instead…. it came from Satan. When Jesus was being accused of doing his miracles by the power of Satan, and he said, “how can Satan cast out Satan,” we have a clear example of why a religious system that discounts the word of God can only be satanic. Only Satan would try to say, “we are just adding to the word of God.” This is not the only example of Satan‘s great deceiving aspect: he transformed himself to appear as the angel Gabriel and misled Muhammad, so that he would create a religious system that would be against God’s chosen people, Israel. When the Bible describes Satan’s one world religion, it is talking about Islam. The Mahdi, which is the messiah of Islam, is the Bible’s antichrist. Satan and his demon army…. 1/3 of the heavenly host…..have no trouble whatsoever fooling people into thinking that they are angels of God. God is not against himself, so if a group is against parts of the Bible, you know that is coming from Satan.
@@mattr.1887 You can, too. Read the Quoran and read Revelation. John Macarthur has an excellent discourse on this, and if I can find a link for you I'll post it back here. Think about this....would God create a new religion whose purpose is to wipe out His chosen people? This means it could not have been the angel Gabriel speaking to Muhammad.
@@mattr.1887 That depends upon the person demanding proof. Usually when there's a demand like that, it's an unsaved person who doesn't believe that God exists or that The Bible is his Word, and the kind of proof that person wants is the kind of proof that you could produce in court...like a video, or DNA evidence, or even fingerprints....but God doesn't want people to love him who know that he exists by proof, and that day will come, too late for millions of people...or need a proof that he inspired the entire Bible through his Holy Spirit. Even Thomas, a disciple and apostle (from whom we get the phrase, "doubting Thomas") did not believe that Christ had risen from the tomb on the 3rd day, and when he did see him, Jesus told him (paraphrasing) "here... put your hand in my side where the soldier thrust in his spear, and look at the nail holes in my hands. It really is me Thomas...but it would be better if you had had faith." God wants people to love and follow Him due to faith, rather than proof. That said, God asserts his authorship in 2nd Timothy 3:16 - 17. God is the only being in the universe who can self-authenticate.

I am a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (a Mormon). Jesus is my Lord and Savior and our perfect example in all things. The short-sighted answers provided by these types of videos are disappointing. Other Christians throw up barriers to Christianity as if they are gatekeepers to faith in God's redeeming grace.
Let me ask you a question, after telling you that when Joseph Smith first started out he said he saw God the Father God the Holy Spirit and Jesus in bodily form and then changed that to just seeing God and Jesus in bodily form, regardless of this, God the Father nor the Holy Spirit have never been seen, they are invisible to all, do you believe this or what Joseph Smith stated? If you don't believe him how can a liar start out wrong and be right when he never changed his view?
@@bl4ze1t38Actually, the title page (which Mormon’s son Moroni wrote) says that one purpose of the book is “to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations.” I love the book and want people to take it seriously and study it themselves along with the Bible.

@@mattr.1887 Do you not believe that God is great enough to preserve His word that He wrote? He did, and He proved it in these verses. Jesus said that Scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35). He also said that heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of God will never pass away (Matt 24:35). The grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of God endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8)
Bro, you’re not helping. I’m also a Latter-day Saint. Just because there are a few mistranslations in the Bible doesn’t mean it’s wrong. The Bible is true holy scripture, it fully supports the Book of Mormon, if you think they contradict, it’s because you don’t understand the Bible, not because the Bible needs to be thrown out. The Bible and Book of Mormon work together, they’re not enemies.
God is great enough to preserve his word, and he does it the way he has always done it, through prophets. The Bible is just paper. Old manuscripts have been lost and mistranslated over the years. They are a part of the world too, and will also pass away. Even the temple in Jerusalem passed away. God’s word is the principles of eternal truth that he has revealed to in all ages and to all people, and if those people pass away, and their words are forgotten, and their descendants depart from the truth, then he will send another to proclaim his word. God’s word isn’t a single book that we’ve managed to reconstruct from really old scraps of paper. A book that only became widely available a short time before the Book of Mormon. Unless you’re willing to say that the corrupted Latin Vulgate that only priests had access to is on par with the best modern translations available to everyone with a smartphone.
@@mattr.1887 This is how we know that God preserved his word. Because he said he would. The Bible is the only word of God, and it's complete. Nothing else needs to be added, luv. Grace is not obtained by works alone. On the other hand, Faith without works is dead. There's always two sides to the story, but i think we need both; they go hand in hand. There are those that work for show; sometimes for good, but other times for iniquities or sins. While others work remotely or in the background secretly for their Lord, our God.
grace is not obtained by works at all. it is God's grace through faith that saves. however, if saved, that faith produces works as a result of the faith. if a person is in a burning building and believes the building is burning, that belief produces the work of exiting the building. If a person claims or thinks to have faith, but that faith does not produces works, it shows that faith is not faith at all. It's not two sides to a story, it's one thing that produces another thing.
There is only salvation by faith. Ephesians 2:8-9. Works follow salvation. The Mormons believe that they are saved by works, which is a false teaching. Since Mormons are not saved by faith, they are not Christians. People misunderstand James’ writing that faith without works is dead. It does not mean that you are not saved. It simply means that you are not obeying God as a saved person. People often misunderstand baptism in the same way…baptism does not bring salvation. It does not wash away sin. It is a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is an obedience to God, following salvation by faith.
@@mattr.1887 Go back and read the scripture I mentioned from Ephesians. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. This means that there is no salvation by means of works.
Scripture teaches that humanity was redeemed, justified, reconciled and begotten again by the BLOOD, DEATH, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. Like the atonement pictured in the old covenant practice, the efficacy of the atonement was based on the sacrifice and the priest, and not on the people that were atoned for. What they believed or did was not a factor. So, based on this, my question would be; if someone calls out to God to save them and accept them as His child, but their theology is incorrect, does God reject them? Basically I guess I am asking whether salvation is based on Jesus and what He did for all humanity, or does it depend on us believing just the right things about Him?
@@amos3three941 I made a statement and then asked a question. If you can't find the truth of my statement in scripture, there is no point in having a conversation. It should be quite obvious. Try Romans and 1 Peter for starters.
One must believe what scripture says about Him and by Him. He did pay the sin debt for the whole world were they to believe in Him and that He was raised from the dead as the bible states. And of course if one doesn't believe that they are not saved. It does say believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Acts 16:31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And it also says Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? So yes we are expected to be obedient. We must learn by reading the scripture and by believing it to do its work in us2:Philippians 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. You notice v12 obey and work out, meaning doing good and forsaking the deeds of the fleshly nature that are sinful, and 13 shows us that He is working in us to will and to obey. His word in you gives you the desire and will to do that which is right, we must always learn to follow His word. John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing, the words I speak to you they are spirit and they are life. This is an important principle which one must learn, the word of God guides us and our thoughts then lead us therefore we must learn to obey the good and reject the bad. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God Romans 10:17. This is an important lesson to learn, the word of God build Christian character by leading us in the way and providing the power to do so, by faith. As the scripture teaches, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me, Phil 4:13. Hope this helps, there is a lot here, it takes time and one should read and learn the word of God.
@@amos3three941 Believing causes us to experience the inheritance that was given to us at the death and resurrection of Christ. Like the old covenant picture in the atonement, the efficacy of the atonement is contingent ONLY on the high priest and on the sacrifice, both of which are Jesus Christ Himself. This is the grace message, that salvation and all that involved in it, and our inheritance, were all fulfilled by Christ alone, plus nothing else. Receiving and experiencing something on earth is a result of it already being true in heaven. Working out our own salvation is just that, bringing into experience what is already ours in the spiritual or heavenly realm. As I said in my comment, redemption, reconciliation, justification and regeneration were (past tense) accomplished by the blood, death, and resurrection of Christ. Just as it was pictured and foretold in the old testament. Remember, old testament atonement did not require anything from the entire nation that benefited from it.
Reading the books of the New Testament, we possibly asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. There are fewer "myther" Biblical scholars than there are flat-earther scientists. Even the skeptical, atheist Jesus Seminar and Bart Eherman say mythers are very few and very wrong. The miracles were evidence that Jesus was Messiah to the first generation, and the faith spread from there. As Jesus told doubting Thomas, blessed are those who do not see yet believe. God has given us all free will and just enough evidence to choose without being coerced or forced into a decision. As the father of quantum mechanics Werner Heisenberg said, "The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you." The same is true of Scripture, the more you study it, the more you will come to know God. We all have the freedom to choose which way to go. As C.S. Lewis said, "There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'" God does not force anyone to be with Him for all eternity if they don't want to, and He sends no one to hell - we choose to be outside His presence, which is the very definition of hell.
@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"There are fewer "myther" Biblical scholars than there are flat-earther scientists. Even the skeptical, atheist Jesus Seminar and Bart Eherman say mythers are very few and very wrong."* - Whether less or more, I argue that the existence of scholars who develop a version of the mythological Jesus is caused by the fact that there is no Church of Christ that we read about in the books of the New Testament. If the Church of Christ existed, we didn't need Bart Ehrman to show the fallacy of scholarly mythologists. The existence of the fact that representatives of science invent different "theories" that reject the word of God, clearly indicates only that for 2000 years there has been no Church of Christ and, accordingly, mankind does not see those miracles that should accompany the Church of Christ, as it is stated in the books of the New Testament. If in the name of Christ the dead were raised from the dead, the blind were given back their sight, the armless and legless were restored to their limbs, the terminally ill were freed from disease, I do not think that scientists would dare to persist in promoting various hypotheses denying the existence of God. The reason for the unbelief of most people is that they do not see the miracles that should accompany the Church of Christ as the books of the New Testament state, but they see in abundance the Churches that claim to be the Church of Christ but have no power to perform miracles, and this confuses many people. These 2000 years was a period of unbelief and despite the efforts of the defenders of the Christian faith they failed because they tried to prove the truth of Christ's teachings by human efforts. God will not prove the truth of Christ's teachings through philosophical speculation, the discovery of ancient manuscripts, or archaeological findings. Not at all. That is not God's handwriting. We know from the Bible how God works, God is a living God, and He will live testify to the truth of Christ's teachings. In the first century this is exactly what was happening. Miracles were the chief weapon of Christ's preachers to convince the skeptic of the truth of Christianity. The following fragment is a good example of this: *"And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.* *But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord."* (Acts 13:6-12). In our time we don't see this anymore, because the so-called Christians don't have such power, they are all fake. In the end I want to say that God will be revealed to mankind as He was revealed in the first century, through the Church of Christ. So that there will be no shadow of doubt about the truth of Christ's Teachings. And then all religions and false Christian churches will be disgraced before the risen Church of Christ, through which the same miracles will be performed that we read about in the books of the New Testament.
@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"The miracles were evidence that Jesus was Messiah to the first generation, and the faith spread from there. "* - This is what we are writing about, miracles were proof that Jesus and His disciples were God's messengers. In the first century God testified to the truth of Christ's church by miracles, but for 2000 years we do not see any church that God testified to by miracles. What can we know about the Church of Christ? What was she like? We know about the Church of Christ only what is known from the books of the New Testament. We do not know of any other Church of Christ outside the New Testament. What was the Church of Christ in the books of the New Testament? The church was a strictly hierarchical organization composed of believers baptized with the Holy Spirit, where the gifts of the Holy Spirit were manifested. As written: *"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."* (1 Corinthians 12:27-28). This was the Church of Christ in the first century, but for 2000 years we no longer see such a Church of Christ, there are no Apostles, no prophets, no one has miraculous powers and gifts of healing. But we see gatherings of people headed only by teachers speaking in the name of Christ, but not having the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said: *"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"* (Mark 16:17-18). There we also read: *"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following"* (Mark 16:19-20). I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".* that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus. For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles. As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8). *“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12). *"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8). Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities? In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world. Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12). But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did? The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus. As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22). God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again. The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). "Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1). The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.
@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"As Jesus told doubting Thomas, blessed are those who do not see yet believe."* - These words are often misunderstood by people. Jesus is not talking here about believing in the miracles He performed, but about His resurrection...blessed are those who have not seen the risen Christ, but have believed that He has risen. And how could people believe in the resurrection of Jesus if they had not seen Him risen? They could believe by accepting the testimony of His disciples about the risen Jesus. And why should unbelievers accept the testimony of Christ's disciples? Because their testimonies were supported by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, i.e. miracles, as it is written: *"And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs."* (Mark 16:17-20). In the first century, the Church of Christ performed miracles so that unbelievers would believe in Her word about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Otherwise, if Christians did not perform any miracles, who would take their word for it? When a stranger comes to your town and preaches about some resurrected Christ, why would you take his word for it? Where's the logic in that? Believers are not fools who believe everything, as the apostle Paul writes: *"Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature."* (1 Corinthians 14:20).
@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"As the father of quantum mechanics Werner Heisenberg said, "The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you." - People don't need to drink a glass of natural sciences to the bottom to become a believer. In the first century, the apostle Peter and many other disciples of Christ were uneducated people, but this did not prevent them from believing in Christ, because they accepted God's testimony about Jesus, and God testified precisely by miracles. This is what Peter himself says: “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know"* (Acts 2:22). That is, Jesus was witnessed by God with miracles and signs in front of all the people. So Miracles are the testimonies of God, and God testified about Jesus and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. This is what Jesus himself answers to the Jews when they ask Him: *"How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me"* (John 10:24-25). *"If I am not doing the works of my Father, the do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”* (John 10:37-38) The miracles that Jesus performed, and then his disciples, were evidence that God had chosen them to be preachers of His Word. And if today we do not see miracles, then we need to investigate the reason why this happens, and not claim that miracles are unnecessary for people to convert. If you read the New Testament carefully, you will see that just by miracles more people came to the faith of Christ than without miracles. Jesus performed miracles and the Church of Christ, too, so that unbelievers would believe in Christ and so that believers would be comforted in persecution. *"Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”* (John 3:1-2). This is the conclusion Nicodemus makes when accepting Christ. When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen stripes, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” Many of the Jews therefore, who had come with Mary and had seen what he did, believed in him..."* (John 11:43-45). This fragment also shows that many Jews believed in Christ precisely after the miracle. *"So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands."* (Acts 14:3). *"And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles."* (Acts 15:12). So God does nothing in vain, if He has given the gifts of the Holy Spirit to the Church of Christ, it is for the comfort of believers and the conversion of non-believers.

One must first establish what is Christian to set a benchmark for comparison. In traditional bible based Christianity, there are tens of thousands of differing denominations, with no two alike. They are all over the board. So there is no benchmark in traditional Christianity to which to compare the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With traditional Christianity being tens of thousands of differing denominations with no two alike. Then traditional Christianity is essentially tens of thousands of different Christs and gospels. The Bible teaches one Christ and one gospel. The LDS Church teaches one Christ and one gospel. Therefore, traditional Christianity is Christian in name only. And is more accurately a kaleidoscope of gossip regarding a divine thing. It is an image attempting to approximate the divine....a workshop of pretentious actors vying for the part. This is why God restored his true Church and authority thru Joseph Smith.
The denominations agree on central truths. A key truth being that there is, and has only ever been, one God. The Lord himself declared that there was no God before him nor would there be a God after him. Isaiah 43:10, for one. Mormon doctrine teaches the opposite. God was once a man as we are and was exalted to Godhood. Further, we can become Gods as well.
@@DreadedDormammu "The denominations agree on central truths. " The most central and basic truth is that there is one God, Christ, and gospel. But by there being tens of thousands of different denominations with differing interpretations of the bible in bible based religion. Then they preach tens of thousands of different Gods, Christs, and gospels. So no, they are at odds with the basics. This is because the bible is their God. And they interpret it for themselves. So there is no actual living God in or above traditional Christianity. They presume that the bible is their validation. But it is a silent witness against them, or of they against themselves by their variance to the bible. They are the Church's of men, not of God. As for us becoming Gods by his charity is self evident. We are not strangers to him but are his offspring. An acorn becomes an oak, a pine cone seed becomes a pine tree. And the offspring of God become Gods. That's the whole purpose of our creation. We are Gods in embryo. And if by his grace we attain to godhood. Then it can only be that we were always Gods.
We aren't Gods in embryo. The Lord denied that there were Gods before him or that there would be any after him. There are differences between Christian denominations, no doubt. However, at their core is the identity of Jesus, on which they agree. Ask a Baptist, a Presbyterian, or a Methodist who is Jesus and they will say Jesus is God incarnate. Jehovah's Witnesses make Jesus into an archangel. Mormons make him one of a multitude of Gods. Muslims claim he is a prophet. All three say that the Bible is true.... except where it disagrees with their doctrines. You say Christians make the Bible their God, but the same can be said of Mormons and the Book of Mormon. The BOM is exalted above the Bible.

(1) No the Mormons don't say the book of Mormon is a new covenant to Israel or a new revelation. It is correct to say that the Mormons consider the book of Mormon to be "another witness" of Christ and His resurrection. (2) It is correct to say that the writing of the book of Mormon is shrouded in mystery but so is almost every book in the bible from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. (3) Was Joseph Smith a prophet of God or not? This is a very difficult question to answer as it is a matter of faith. Were the actions of Joseph Smith in line with what one expects a prophet of God to act? The answer is NO! But who is a man to tell God what to do? (4) It is correct to say that many verses of the Mormon scriptures changed over the years in addition several Mormon teaching have changed to correspond to social reality. The Mormon church is not alone here. All Christian denominations have changed their doctrines here and there to adjust with many social realities. (5) It is totally incorrect to say that Mormons claim that salvation is earned by good work. This is what the Mormons say: "we are saved by grace after all we can do." That doesn't contradict the bible at all. All people can do will not save them, but they have to do something. We cannot just sit there do nothing and think we will be saved. Even Moses asked the minimum to the children of Israel bitten by snakes in the desert: "Look up to the snake on the pole." They did the will of God and God saved them by His grace. Even Jesus said " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall. enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven." (6) It is correct to say that the concept of God is outside the scope of how Christianity views God. In fact according to the Mormons: " ““ As man now is, God once was: “As God now is, man may be.”" That is not the Christian knowledge of God at all. (7) It is also correct to say that the Mormon Church claims to be the only true Christian Church on the face of the earth, thus saying that other non Mormon churches are not Christian. In my view, this is clearly a false claim. (8) What would Christ want us to do? Love one another as He has loved us. Pray the father in the name of Jesus Christ that His will be done on earth as in heaven, and follow the example of Jesus Christ to our very best. (9) Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.’”
(3) Was Joseph Smith a prophet of God? This is not difficult at all. He was NOT! “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.” Joseph Smith’s ‘gospel’ does not line up with the Word of God, therefore it is a false gospel, a lie.

They ARE generally very nice, kind people who try hard to live by generally Christian standards… and if you define ‘being Christian’ that way, then they would be! But that is to misunderstand Christianity completely. Christianity isn’t about how we act or what we do, it’s about who God is and what He has done on our behalf. Having been raised in the LDS church and with many family members who are still in it, I can absolutely affirm that Mormons don’t know or understand who God is, or what the Christian gospel is. If you meet one, I recommend that you ask them to define it, and if it fits in the conversation, ask why that is good news. I love my family and many of them are generally ethical and nice, and have done wonderful things for me personally. But they are not Christians🤷🏻♀️
Acts 4:11-13 King James Version 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
In Acts 3:19, Peter prophesied that the heavens would receive Christ until the times of the 'restitution of ALL things"!!! This prophecy was fulfilled in part when Christ appeared to Joseph Smith to begin this process of restitution! What was restored? The true chuch with all the former priesthood offices and priesthood authority, the true foundation of prophets and apostles, baptism by immersion and the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost (born of the water and the Spirit), etc., etc., etc. Also, prophecies from Malachi wete fulfilled as Christ suddenly sppeared in His temple (see Mal. 3) and the return of Elijah also to the temple in Kirtland (see Mal. 4)! There are so many other things I could write, but I dont have all day to respond to an apostate ignorant fool, but I will just say this: If the LDS church, with everything restored that I have mentioned, is not the true restored CHRISTIAN church, the where in the hell can it be found, and when is the hell can it be found, and when and where in the hell will Elijah return?!?!?!?
I just left Utah this morning after spending a full week there. I drove through many beautiful small Mormon pioneer towns and kept thinking about exactly what this video is explaining.

Soo simple and easy to believe, yet people just don't want the truth....
To quote Jesus’s final lesson in John:
(John 17:20-23)
“20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.“
And you are right, Elohim is plural, that’s because there are multiple beings united in the same name, multiple gods, of whom Jehovah is the greatest.
Genesis 1:26
“And God said, Let *us* make man in *our* image, after *our* likeness”
(Psalm 82:1&6)
“God standeth in the congregation of the Mighty [Elyon, the father of Jehovah]; he judgeth among the gods.”
“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High [Elyon].”
In other words, Jesus/Jehovah is our elder brother, the greatest and Only Begotten of the Father’s children.
Psalm 89:6
“For who in the heaven can be compared unto Jehovah? who among the sons of Elyon can be likened unto Jehovah?”
John 10:34
“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?”
Deuteronomy 10:17
“For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward”
Romans 8:16-17
“16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
Deuteronomy 32:8-9&43
“8 When the Most High [Elyon] gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.
9 But the Jehovah’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.
43 Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people’s land.”
So yeah, Jehovah/Jesus and Elyon/the Father are separate gods, united as One God, and we too can become gods by participating in God.

@@KnuttyEntertainment There are multiple big problems that I have with Mormonism, but let's look at one of the biggest applicable contradictions between Mormonism doctrine and the Holy Bible: how we are saved. The Book of Mormon has the following two verses.
2 Nephi 25:23
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.
Moroni 10:32
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if you shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind, and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.
The Bible has the following verses.
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
Mormonism is a cult. Unfortunately, they do not know Christ and will find out when it is too late.
@@justinbrentwood1299 Romans 2, Matthew 7 should be cited as well regarding what you said.
Witnessing to a Mormon is frustrating because of the 3 degrees of glory teaching --"salvation" to them is levels, not in or out. As a mormon I see why people have the wrong Idea about us its because of videos like this
There is a lot said in this video that is simply not true.

@Bjorn Egan __Your opinion matters, but i was referring to the scriptures in Galatians 2:16; Romans 9:32 and James 2:18, 2:26
Wrong. Your opinion isnt important to God. Faith will bring good works from you. Nuff said.
You are 100% wrong in your statement, but you can prove me wrong, just show where it says what you typed, shouldn't be too hard to do, is it?
We must learn by reading the scripture and by believing it to do its work in us2:Philippians
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Did I not put the scripture and where it is found?

The following fragment is a good example of this: *"And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.*
*But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".*
that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus.
*"If I am not doing the works of my Father, the do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”* (John 10:37-38)
The miracles that Jesus performed, and then his disciples, were evidence that God had chosen them to be preachers of His Word.
Christian is as Christian does.

The most central and basic truth is that there is one God, Christ, and gospel.

Even Jesus said " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall. enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven."
(6) It is correct to say that the concept of God is outside the scope of how Christianity views God.

This is not difficult at all. He was NOT!
“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.”
Joseph Smith’s ‘gospel’ does not line up with the Word of God, therefore it is a false gospel, a lie.

“God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea. He was once a man like us, yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an Earth.“
-Founder of the Mormon church Joseph Smith
He [God] is our Father-the Father of our spirits, and was once a man in mortal flesh as we are, and is now an exalted being. It appears ridiculous to the world, under their darkened and erroneous traditions, that God has once been a finite being.”
-2nd Mormon Prophet Brigham Young
Here then is eternal life--to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn to be Gods yourselves…the same as all Gods have done before you.”
-Founder of the Mormon Church Joseph Smith
All those who are counted worthy to be exalted and to become Gods, even the sons of God, will go forth and have earths and worlds like those who framed this and millions and millions of others.“
-2nd Mormon Prophet Brigham Young
@@mattr.1887 Scriptural and historical data points to the exact opposite of Mormon theology. My question to Mormons is the same. What if we’re right?
@@mattr.1887 If they are right, then they are preaching a new religion that is not Christianity and more than that then they prove that Christianity is wrong.
If they are wrong, then they are perverting the teaching of Christ, hence they are not Christians, not followers of Christ.
@@everydaytenor8862 What is bunk?
@@everydaytenor8862 I was asking what part of my statement was “bunk”.
@everydaytenor8862, nothing Mapleboarder78 wrote is bunk. He quoted teaching from early LDS church presidents. Very easy to find information.
Also, how do you feel about Joe Jr “translating” The Book of Mormon out of a hat with use of a rock?
look at the definitions of their terms.....
No.
The end.
Nope
No way. They are a cult.
I guess that puts you in a cult too! Cause a cult is nothing more than a group of people who congregate for a cause and have a leader
@@whabaskeythethirdThat's not a cult it means there's a lot of manipulation going on, The BITE Model, Behavior, Informational, Thoughtful, Emotional control. That's what they use to control people.
This video is simply dishonest and slanderous. We disagree with unscriptural creeds and that's it. We believe the Scriptures, the prophets and that Jesus Christ will come again. There is no need to be so inflammatory or dishonest merely because your opinion is that creation means "ex nihilo", that we aren't actually the offspring of God empowered through His Beloved Son to be perfect like Him, or other non sequiturs. We get to choose whether to embrace the whole truth or only a tiny part of it. The great news is that we get to learn line upon line.
No because Mormons worship God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit as separate beings and we true Christians worship God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as one God like 3 distinct persons coexisting in one being so God is 3 in one and God is a multi personal being That’s how we true Christians believe and also Mormons also believe they can be gods which broke one of the Ten Commandments thou shall not be other gods before him which therefore all Mormons are going to hell for that and they need repent they’re or face God’s omnipotent wrath and also Mormons don’t believe in heaven and hell and they only believe in the 3 stupid kingdom which it’s pointless and Mormons automatically going to hell for that
those who accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour will be taken up when he calls us, the rest of the so called christian groups who don't will hopefully change their minds when they are left behind, GOD in his grace have and will continue to give us so many chances...
Who is more Christian, the Mormon who follows Jesus as they are taught and raised to, or the Christian who defies Jesus by ignoring His commandments in His very name?
Only God will answer this question.
Many atheists do "good" works that doesn't mean that they know God/Jesus. So just because Mormon's do things that seem to be Christlike doesn't mean that they know the truth about Jesus. Many religions have similar beliefs and do "good" things. But that doesn't make them Christian either. And yes, Christians fall short but that doesn't mean that we don't know the truth.
@@KenKopper That was a very thoughtful answer, thank you.
@@KenKopper They, the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, have faith and depend upon Jesus Christ's eternal and limitless redeeming power. Any good works or effort is also to follow his way, such as written in Mattew 7:21.
Mormon's, 7th Day Adventist's and JW's all have a different jesus to the true Jesus thats presented in the gospels. So, no, they are not christians.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS believe in Jesus Christ, as far as I know, truely to the gospels.
As Seventh Day Adventist member we believe in God Father, Jesus Son and Holy Spirit (trinity) the only way to salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross.
no.
They’re a cult
put cult in quotations please.
A cult huh? I guess that fits you in that category too, cause a cult is nothing more than a group of people that have a leader and have a cause to congregate. And I KNOW you've been a part of some type of group before in your life because everyone has been.
Christian: “a person who believes in Jesus Christ and follows his teachings.”
Mormons do. They’re Christian. It’s not hard to understand. 🤷♂️
Mormon Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible, so No. Not Christian. It's not hard to understand.
@@jeffs4483 Well, “Mormon Jesus” is found in the Old and New Testament. Which is what we study every day. It’s really not hard to understand, no matter how much you don’t want to believe that.
@tylerfielding5311 Christianity is monotheistic-- one eternal God, no previous or subsequent God (Isaiah 43:10, among others)-- and says Jesus is the Word of God who was with God in the beginning and is God and through Him all things were created (John 1:1-3).
Do you believe this?
@@tylerfielding5311
Nope. The Mormon Jesus requires salvation through works, not faith. LDS believe Jesus worked his way up to become a God and that we can also work ourselves up to becoming our own Gods. Not Christian.
Where is Moroni found or even ever mentioned in the bible?@@tylerfielding5311
The only Mormons that could really be defined as Christans are the ones who forsake pretty much all defining scripture when it comes to Joseph Smith's testimony and teachings. So, more like Mormons are not Christians but "Mormons" could possibly be depending on what they believe about God, and their faith/trust in Jesus
So, what is a “Christian”?.
If you can answer this question then how do you believe you have the authority to decide who belongs to Christ and who does not?
A follower of the nicene creed
@@syntheticsandwich190 that sounds more like a “nicenian”..
So, if I am a follower of Jesus Christ am I not a Christian?
@@AnalogKid2112 if you don’t believe in the holy trinity and the nicene creed then no.
@@syntheticsandwich190 thank you. It is helpful to understand how terms are defined. I define a Christian as a follower or disciple of Jesus Christ, whereas you define a “Christian”as someone who subscribes to your own specific doctrine.
I do think it might be more helpful if you found a different term, as yours excludes all Christians except for the ones who share your own unique dogmas.
@@AnalogKid2112 all Christian denominations (with the exception of JW/mormons who claim to be Christian) agree on this. Granted there is some difference of opinion on a couple words, but the the creeds are the foundation of what it means to be Christian. To deviate from them would be to deviate from scripture, and thus what it means to be Christian. You can believe something else all you want, but the creeds are non negotiable to the definition of Christian theology.

Of course they are, they’re the really real REAL truly true TRUE one amongst all the other REALLY real true ones 😂
All Christian based beliefs are the really real one and true Christian faith 😂
To those of us who know better, seeing Christian’s argue about who’s right and wrong is nothing short of quality entertainment.
You are very miss informed and are starting only partial teachings, or totally miss quoting LDS doctrine. I also find it interesting that people dictate what God can and cannot do when they don't have all writings from all of Gods prophets from the time of Adam down to Jesus Christ. If God reveal's his doctrine the only way to know if it is His is to pray and ask God, not some guy who tells everyone that you can only worship how he thinks is correct. You need to learn more before you speak.

Jesus called Satan a god or magistrate.
2 Corinthians 4:4
“4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
‘Redemption through works’ can be found in Revelations with the lamb with seven eyes who broke the seal and was slain.
Revelation 5:9-10
“And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”
To take and to open is to do work because it invokes change.
It was Paul who wrote that second letter to the Corinthians , why are you saying Jesus called Satan a god. Paul did and the Apostle John did, but I’ve never seen it said in the red letters, as Jesus own words.
What are you attempting to say?
@@dfacedagame Thanks for correcting me, it wasn’t Paul it was Jesus. Anyways, Jesus still told the angel of Philadelphia a crown, the new name of God, and said He always loved him. Paul called Satan a god (influential judge) and called the Angel of Philadelphia holy royalty, Revelation 3-12.

I believe they are
God doesn’t
Their beliefs prove they aren’t
They worship a false and ARTIFICIAL God, according to the Bible. Are you claiming they Bible is WRONG?
Acts 4:11-13
King James Version
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
