@@RenaissancePeriodization the consistency throughout and also the slight adjustments in weight was really cool to see. I cant walk with consistent form and this lady did 9000 squats in perfect form. Amazing. -Not a Dr. Mike
frankly this is the most impressive i'm trying my hardest to always get a controlled descent but god this is freaking hard after a few reps to not 'bounce'
She is officially my new gym-spiration! So inspired by her work ethic, how she just focused on getting the job done, and her great technique on all the exercises!
It really is quite motivational to see someone suffer like that and get through it. While the more informative content is the stuff I really like from RP, this kind of content is great too!
My squat has improved from 225 to 315 for 4 sets of 8 this past year. I'm gonna hit 405 next year. Rennaisance periodization is THE standard for strength and muscle gains.
Best technique I've ever seen. I can't imagine having technique that good to be able to do good mornings like that without killing my back, let alone doing it in the middle of the rest of the squats. Such an technique inspirational lifter.
This should be required viewing for anyone wanting to use a squat rack. Even how she cues against her sticking points is insane! Just willing her way past any breakdown in form 😳 Amanda just joined my internal Board of Directors for Team Full ROM
these videos are truly inspiring! The woman have such amazing strength, technique, discipline, and freaking grit! These vids/workouts are so simple but also mesmerizing
All I have is a squat rack and a barbell, it's good enough for the average person. But always a bit challenging getting creative on ways to get sore. This is great!
Men, next time you tell someone you went hard on a leg day remember this video and think again if you really went that hard. This woman’s technique and tempo is goals
I’m so glad Dr. Mike is micd during these videos. If it weren’t for that we would never know all his intimate secrets! Dr. Mike - “I’ve done a lot of things with my butthole over the years..”
In university I when I was going for my NSCA cert, I did I short presentation on squat jumps to finish leg day. So Mike's joke about jumping at the end, was no joke at all. Keep em in the power phase, 3_5 reps all out, 2 sets. 12% difference in 8 weeks between control/ variable groups. I would not suggest weighted jumps unless you're very advanced, the landing is very dangerous.
Seriously! I've tried varying up back squat with front squats to hit quads more but my flexibility is crap. I'm always worried about either dropping the elbows with heavy weight or I choke myself and bruise my collar bones. The exercise never feels right. I'll give that raised heel idea a shot next hypertrophy cycle for sure.
I have good mobility and am a big fan of front squats and I can tell you this; getting choked out and bruised collarbones is kinda part of the deal :P But you can defs grow them with heel elevated BS, just don't throw FS in the bin 🥺 think of the jacked and juicy upper back you could have as well as enviable quads.
@@michaelthomas1916 Do you not have the 2 safety rails on both sides of your squat rack? Just mount them slightly below your squat depth, then if you end up failing the bar only falls a bit and lands on them.
@@invertexyz yes, i have and use the safety bars. Moving them up a bit might help if I dump it. I've also seen this technique in videos of crossing the hands over the bar. I'll try that next time too.
Mike: "How are you doing today?" Amanda: "I'm doing well." Mike: "Well you're about to NOT be doing well." I love how you should get any notion of fun out of your head when you do a workout with Dr. Mike.
Great technique and generally dealt with this killer of a workout with the grace of a goddess. Curious: Did Dr. Mike ever explain when to take the good morning instead of the RDL?
This is a tough girl . These workouts are painful . Compared to doing 5 sets of 5. I’m impressed with some of the workouts on here. Let’s just say I have been doing this shit when Arnold was a champion.
20 years ago my bf had a high intensity super slow 5 sec positive 10 sec negative training facility. By far the most painful and taxing workout Ive ever had
Love this idea, would like to see one for chest/back/general upper body as well. Us homegymers would appreciate it!
Yes please i need that !!!
Agree!
great idea!!
Pleassee
Cant wait to see them torture somebody with inverted rows

Absolutely lost it when he said that
The perfect cut afterwards aswell 😂😂
It's like his PR team pop in "ahhh edit that part out" the video was going left fast lol
@Mean productions: 6:00
Technically unless you have an ostomy we’ve all done a lotta things with our butthole. Kinda it’s thing
Amanda's technique is really inspiring, flawless.

Reason I love thus channel
Aside from obsessing about her amazing form and strength, I'd also appreciate a hair tutorial from Amanda😅
Inspirational stuff, serious effort with flawless technique. She needs to be a recurring -torture victim- workout guest.
😂
🤣
She absolutely controlled just about every second of every rep. Inspiring!
frankly this is the most impressive

the way dr mike says oooh before the rep range gets me every time
Relatively heavy squats ooooooooohhh 5-15 Rep range
Wow her squat form is absolute perfection through the entire set! Fantastic discipline.
no it isn't, she's missing the crucial part of opening hips at the start
As always, the editing really helps convey the pain. The pain helps convey the pain as well.
More pain, more pain
Spoken words have never been truer
Wow. Was not expecting that intro lol
LMAO
AHAH right?
I had it up loud, not on headphones, and my wife is like what are you watching...... I just said porn, no point trying to explain.

Good morning 3 sets, 5-10 reps
Heel elevated squat 4 sets, 7-15 reps
Bodyweight SLOW squats 7-10 reps

Awesome video. Should be a series or something
The grit necessary to do what she just did is beyond human to me. Like, I feel I would actually die if I tried.
"I tought she looked like a Lindsey"😂. The humor is off the charts 😂
great examples please have her back

Weird to see someone with ZERO mobility issues. I do think she was using quite a bit of posterior chain once she starting struggling on the squats.
That was an awesome grind. Much respect ✊
I'm a simple man. I see people crying and close to death on leg day I hit like.
This was so damn good!
