  • The Accelerating Clean Cooking Adoption in Nigeria Workshop, hosted by the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), addressed the challenges hindering the widespread adoption of clean cookstoves in Nigeria. Despite the clear health, environmental, and socioeconomic benefits, various obstacles continue to affect both local manufacturers and consumers.
The workshop provided a platform for a diverse group of stakeholders, including local stove manufacturers, government ministries, departments and agencies, financial institutions, consumer groups, and development partners.

Cool stuff! I love meetings like this.
I've been working on a personal project recently, which focuses on sustainable and circular business models in Emure-Ekiti, Southwest Nigeria. The project aims to improve the livelihoods of small-scale agricultural processors through a shared cleaner biogas production energy alternative for their businesses and an innovative supply chain.
The initiative not only mitigates deforestation and reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also closes the loop, enhances economic resilience, and improves health outcomes in local communities. It serves as a scalable prototype across sub-Saharan Africa, catering to the significant market of approximately 59 million small-scale agricultural processors, representing 60% of the region's population.
