I got my health back in the Philippines. In the USA I was stressed out, overworked and single. Now I am married, eat like a king and have a slower lifestyle. It was the right choice for me.
Every time I vacation in the Philippines, it's so relaxing. People say, well duh, you're on vacation. But that's only it. The people there are so relaxed, happy, yet they don't have much. Here in the states, it's a lot different, more stressful.
That's a good question: What do you want? Each place has something different to offer. For me I am tired of the rat race in the US. That's why I chose the Philippines. Others may disagree and that's ok. To each his own.
I haven't really spent time in Thailand, but spent many visits to the Philippines when I was younger. I'm working on setting up my Philippines retirement now, but plan on visiting various places around SE Asia, as well as pop up to Japan and Korea to visit friends up in those areas. I look forward to taking some temple tours though, so Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are sure places to visit.
Philippines is a piece of shit in the world. Slum, dirt everywhere, they're ruining the beaches, the food is horrible, all you see is fast food everywhere. Worst country out of 50 that I've visited.
Sawadi 🇹🇭, krap! I'm a Pinoy who had his High School and college life in the Royal Kingdom of Thailand; seven years straight. I am the son of a diplomat, so I had to stay there for the while - and it became my 2nd home. The Thai people are VERY nice and VERY hospitable. (I had even got pretty emotional on the day I had to leave.) The food is GREAT. Aloy maaaaak!!! (So delicious!!!) No comparison there. The Buddhist temples are beautiful. But I had to return to the Philippines since, of course, it's home. And I have no regrets at all. Yes, the infrastructure is less developed here. But it's getting better. In fact, I just LOVE it here. I do have continuing contact with a friend back in Bangkok. I went back there twice. I miss the food (how do I!) and friends, yes. But the Republic of the Philippines is home. Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
It was the opposite for me, i lived in the Philippines first for 6 years, but i ended up in Thailand, because i liked it better, have been here for 3 years. Thailand provinces do shut down early, i been up north Thailand (ubon) and it is the same way as in provinces in the Philippines, not sure what province you visit in Thailand. Also, family thing, in my experience is the same in Thailand and in the Philippines, the only difference is, that in Thailand, is a bit more Asian when it comes down to "letting you in", in Philippines, everyone let's you in, everyone loves you. At the end of the day, people need to experience for themselves like you said, for at least one full month, to get a real taste of it, and make their choice on what's best for them.
The Filipinas are just more beautiful and that's not to discredit the Thai ladies because they're beautiful too. But the Filipinas just to me seem to have more body, more color more flavor period.
I’ll pick the slow down and excitement. I love chillin. Hanging back with the fam well new fam and choppin it up with some beer 🍺 food 🍱 and a good time under the sun ☀️
Great video! (warning: long comment following) You actually found many good reasons for going to Thailand. I spent more than 3 years in Thailand, first on one month stays for business trips to Bangkok, and then in 2015 moving from Norway to stay in Pattaya renting a condo in Jomtien. I loved it: The prices, vicinity to the beach, easy access to rental scooters, live music, a wide array of restaurants etc. Also, the shops catering to foreigners, including the big malls, have almost anything you can desire. Before moving to Pattaya, I spent a total of more than one year in Cebu island - going back and forth from Norway. I did not particularly like Cebu for diverse reasons: Heavy traffick, expensive rentals, lousy beaches - the nice ones I never saw, as the expensive Hotels had fenced them in and demanded a fortune for entrance with a hut. Entering without renting a hut was not an option, according to them. So I left to the cheap but alas so terrible beach elsewhere. Also, a lot of old minibuses and trucks that spew out dark massive exhaust clouds, and terrible food (compared to Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia etc) did not make the Philippines more attractive, to say the least. Not being able to find a wife material woman in Pattaya, I headed back to the Philippines, this time to Davao city. I was not very impressed with the old buildings downtown, neither with the beach being so polluted. Some ladies from Mindanao that I previously had chatted with online, turned out to be scammers, so I was basically lost and alone in Davao city. But being fed up with being alone in Thailand, I ended up returning to Mindanao, and have stayed here for more than 5 years. It has been a long and sometimes difficult path, as I came with 1 suitcase and a very small pension. But step by step I was able to get settled in a small village, and then later to rent a house in DIgos city. Me and my sweet and family oriented Filipina, that I finally found here, have a son that is 4 years old, and I have now accumulated some material goods step by step. I feel that people here in Mindanao are extremely friendly and honest. In the future, I would maybe relocate to Thailand or Spain with my partner, God willing. But I like it more and more here!
Thank you for your message. I'll be visiting Phillipines later this summer and Thailand and you pequed my interest with your story of Mindanao..looks wonderful online! Wouldn't mind finding a special woman for me there too. I'm age 39
He is right if you like night life party all night infrastructure spicy then go to thailand but if you like PURE HAPPINESS NATURE HAPPINESs if you want to see GENUINE SMILING FACES choose PHILIPPINES.
Yo, I’m in the Philippines now dawg! Would love to meet you man. Arrived about 10 days ago. Have already hit up Manila, Newport City, Makati, Cavite, and Baguio City. Gonna hit up Palawan (Coron and El Nido) in the upcoming week or so. After my first week here, on the fly, I extended my stay for another 60 days to file for my SRRV (Special Resident Retirement Visa). I’ll have my retirement Visa done in 45 days or less and I’ll be good to go. Just a little background on me. I’m an Air Force vet. I was stationed here back when Clark AB was active. Always said I would come back so here I am. 🙌🏾 Hope to hear from you man! 💯I
@@Ta2edwarrior Can’t believe it’s been two years since I posted this thread, but to answers your question, flew into Manila, living in BGC and meeting a good woman can happen anywhere. That’s entirely up to you. All depends on what you’re looking for.
Thailand has great food and better supermarkets with a lot more variety. Great place to visit with cheap flights from Manila. Believe it or not Bangkok and Manila had a very similar infrastructures in 1980.
Things get expensive when you have a ruling class family that escapes with the country's fortune, and a battle happens that destroys alot of a country, also the US ditching Philippines, the country got taught to depend on the US, the Mt.Pinotubo erupted, and the US left, the country sank after that. Add to that years and years of uncontrolled births, money runs out long before you think about putting up infrastructure projects. Not to mention the natural disasters, that is another issue on it's own.
I have a home in Thailand and I have everything I need just 15 minute drive from our village of Ban Chang, Udon Thani. I love it, I love the people including law enforcement which I never thought I would say coming from Los Angeles.
Didnt he say infrastructure of ph and Thailand was the same in the 80s? That family was the ruler during the 80s. I think you mean the family that came after it. The yellows and now pinks. Also, do you seem like someone with colonial mentality.
More fun in the Philippines. Thailand is beautiful but the people don’t speak English I got you. I would love to move back to Philippines too. I missed the sea foods Lechon and the sweet mango.
Never been to the Philippines. Almost went in 2020 till the volcano hit, went to Thailand instead and spent all of 2020 there. I spent most of my time in Phuket. There you can get the party atmosphere in Patong but also get away to other parts of the island. And big city Bangkok is only couple hr flight away. I'm intending to return and from the friendly Filipinos I've met and some of the expats I've talked to that have experienced both, a lot choose Thailand. But true as you say, it's up to your own preferences.
I think the availability of medical services is better in Thailand especially out of Bangkok or Pattaya. I have a coworker who is a Filipina who has rejected retirement in her home village because her husband suddenly has health problems and in their province there isn't the facilities to take care of him.
I'm taking my 3 year visa run to bangkok, I was there for a week 10 years ago. I live in the Philippines and content with my girl there. I'm not going to find girls I'm going for visa run, great food and to buy some inexpensive clothes. I prefer the Philippines, have not been to Thailand in a long time and when I was there it was a language problem. Not many people spoke English. In the province not many speak English but there are enough here that do in the philippines. In the bigger cities in Philippines almost everyone speaks English. Thailand is modern and great food. The people are more friendly in the Philippines, at least from what I have seen.the philippines woman are to Jealous and that can get on your nerves sometimes. The woman are beautiful in both countries.
Yes, i heard lots of lots American which are my friends that are already in that country enjoying, im so tired here anymore working and working hust for bills.
@@beno6198 When i know my daughter (14 now, half filipina) can manage her self, I`m moving to the phils. to relax and enjoy. Shes been nagging about moving with me, but i told her to wait til after finishing all education, and se what she think about moving then.

I want to rest for the rest of my retirement. I just a simple life before I die. Philippines people is very kind, Hospitable and humble. There’s no place for me like MANILA. Your review is right on the money! Both countries have something to offer. It truly depends what you are looking for. I have lived in both places and you have a pretty accurate description of what living in both places is like. I just saw your channel...I have some catching up to do....great review!
I’m very conflicted about those two countries as well. The biggest advantage that the Philippine has over thailand is because they speak more English and that would be more easier for me. And the people there are very friendly I will confuse and where I wouldn’t want to spend at least a year
Don't stay in Manila. Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental is a nice place with many beautiful beaches but apartments are a bit pricey compared to Bacolod City in Negros Occidental.
Nice. I haven’t been to neither country but I sure wanna visit both them though. It seems like Asia and Latin America are 2 places people wanna retire too. I wanna see a video on the differences between living in both continents
Hi, I just discovered your channel.... Be a black man living in Germany for over 30 years now, I'm ready for a change... I spent time in Thailand 3 month in 1999 into 2000, I was in Pattaya cause I made the Mistake of jumping in a cab at Bangkok Airport and said take me to the Beach... 3 hours later I saw the most beautiful BLUE SEA that I've ever seen in my life... The Cab driver set me up in a hotel that said it had a swimming pool on a big sign in the lobby, (had been close over 3 years) as I was to find out the next morning when I got up early , up in bathing short grabbed my towel and headed for the Roof... In the Elevator I ran into the cleaning staff who ask me where I thought I was going... There where other problems with my hotel room (even though it was a 4 star Hotel) mold on the Door of the Bathroom and not a speck here or there, but 3/4 of the door with that Black mold that is Health hazard (they acted like that is normal)so little to say I called the cab driver and he got me an Apartment (which I used about a week)... Because I'm Ex- Army, I walk a lot was trying to find a beach ran into an old woman and handed her a 200 Baht gift for the fruit she was selling and she took me to her village where I had the most fun I ever had and there was only one person who could speak English... But with hand and feet I can get everything done.. The only thing is I want to settle in the Philippines, the only problem for me would be the Jealousy problem that the women have there... Never been there and channels like yours are helping me make the Decision if I want to live there or not.. I'm not Vaxxed so I will have time to think before my next vacation...But I do know my next vacation will be in the Philippines ...
Yes true tell me about it. And also it cost more in Thailand. I like Thailand because it’s infrastructure but Philippines benefits are the people speak English
I was stationed at Clark AB, RP in the 1980s but my decision to pick Thailand is because there are no Volcanoes where I chose to build my house, the City of Udon Thani, Thailand. Also they don't get Typhoons where I am at only heavy rain. With that said we all need to be where we are happiest and good luck. @followingthejourney
Philippines has the best retirement Visa if you are a veteran only a small bank deposit and lower yearly fees, Thailand is 24k in a bank and always changing the rules, Thailand has the best food and social bar nightlife.
I really liked thailand and thought seriously about moving there. Their infrastructure is by far better (electric, internet, roads, buildings). The food is better and has more options, and seems to be a bit more healthier. If you want to have real province life you need to get away from BKK or the other southern big cities. If you live in esan it will be very similar to the Phil province life. Depends on if you want to be close to BKK or not. Going up north or northeast and it gets pretty quiet. Thailand seems cleaner as well. With all that being said, I still will be moving to the phil only because I met a woman from the phil.
@@Cons2911 their english in some areas is very good, others its just enough to get by selling their things and then other places not so much. Same goes with the Philippines, in the larger cities english is not a problem however when you go to the province it can be a different story.
Nice point of view, I am living in Thailand but am having my Philippine girlfriend come out and here to me and stay with me for a while I loved it in the Philippines but also love Thailand not sure where I will settle down.
If you have the means to travel, i feel like Philippines is the best place to have a base because if you look at the map, Philippines sits in the middle of SEA and its just an hours flight to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thai, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and maybe Australia
Hi Jay, brother I gotta’ admit--- you really are slowly convincing me to visit the Philippines, and maybe move there afterwords! Can you tell me (or make a video on the top 5 or so islands there - to visit! I live in the US in Las Vegas Jay, and I’d LOVE to live somewhere where there’s beaches AND a slow lifestyle! I like the Phillippino people already cause they are so friendly and always happy, despite their problems, and I’d love to check it out! When’s the rainy season in the Philippines (so I can avoid coming there at that time) Let me know and thank you Jay! Bob F Las Vegas US
El Nido , Palawan (island hopping) ask locals about hot spring there 😊👌 Nacpan beach , Coron , Palawan ( island hopping) Balabac , Palawan ( island hopping) (sandbars ) Bohol...chasing dolphins and swim with gentle giants Borocay , Cebu ( island hopping) U must do the waterfalls hunting everywhere here in Philippines. Just ask the locals 😊👌
For me it’s almost exactly the same. Philippines in my experience is the people and situations are slightly more pleasant and natural feeling. The language, like you mentioned, is English. Philippines is more in touch with nature over more areas, of course there’s a few urban centers, and Manila is comparable to most other big cities around the world. Also, personally for me being Christian, Philippines is mostly Christian.
Philippines is more of fanatical Christian though. You can go to Cebu where they worship a small wooden "saintly" icon or in Pampanga where people crucify themselves to atone for their sins. It's that peculiarly "fun" in the Philippines. I'll choose Philippines mainly because of the people.
I love Thailand. And I love the Philippines! Both countries captured my soul already for about a decade. I am not sure yet where to go finally when I retire. Might be, that I will choose Vietnam instead. Lived in all three countries for less or longer already; Saigon, Madagui, Nha Thrang in Viet is as dangerous and healthy as BKK, Hua Hin in Thailand or Manila/Cebu/ Tacloban/Ormoc/Dumaguete in the Philippines. I have still a couple of years to decide where to go. Madagui and Nha Thrang in Vietnam is truly Paradise on Earth as well. And there is a little gem of location called Phan Thiet in the south of Vietnam! Blue Water, beautiful People, and Paradise. Still no expats. Can be a good thing
I loved the Philippines until i really started paying attention to their lazy culture, which results in their shitty infrastructure. It's the girls that keep us coming back. Vietnam has a bright future to come. Thailand is already one of the wealthiest per capita in Asia.
The main problem i see in the Philippines is the Typhoons ...bad weather. Also have to think about best medical attention you can get where you plan to live.
Thailand is ranked as the 6th best public health system in the world and has the best hospitals in Southeast Asia, as well as 44 of the best hospitals in South Asia in the Top 100 of the best hospitals in Thailand.
@@สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล , I don’t know how accurate those statistics are or if they were made up In Thailand, but health care in the Philippines is more than sufficient for those with health coverage.
@@leapdrive These statistics are the results of the rankings from the US rating agency, not Thailand. Even the World Health Organization ( WHO ) has ranked Thailand as the 6th best health care country in the world. You can check these things. And Thailand is one of three Asian countries that share medical hubs with Singapore and South Korea.
@@สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล , you mean those communist organizations run by the UN and the Democrats of America? Your doctors from Thailand, SK and Singapore can’t even practice in the US unlike Indians and Filipinos. They can’t pass the American Medical Board Exams.
@@สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล as far as I know, Thailand is a go to place for Filipinos that wants to become 'Filipinas'. If Korea is for face upgrade, Thailand is for sex change.
I love Thai food , but i do love the Philippines, the food culture and beauty, no comparison ! Japanese food is my favorite among all!v I could easily adapt on eating any food around the world! And for me every country has its positive and negative issues ! But as a Filipina, country first before others!
Only the most virgin Pacific Ocean 🌊 water 💦 that enters the Philippines and exits to various Asian countries due to the rotation of the earth 🌍🌎. Love the Philippine beaches. Same is true about air.
I lived in Thailand for 2 yrs and 6 months a yr in the Philippines for 10 yrs. Housing generally higher quality and a better value in Thailand. If you like Thai food then there is no comparison in being able to eat high quality food out at restaurants for less.
@@kikikrich He said "Housing generally higher quality and a better value IN THAILAND". How do you come up with " House in Thailand has low quality" wtf
Lived in Thailand, back in the Philippines. IDK but for some reason, I did notice first the quality of expats between two countries. What I can say is from experience is that TH attracts the sleaziest, the depressive and unstable, most delusional types of people. There are few exceptions, of course. It's just not worth attracting those expats, especially men. Thailand and the Philippines, although they are both Southeast Asian countries, nothing compares to the Filipino warmth. In Thailand, they are hospitable to you as a tourist that you are. They will smile and greet you. In the Philippines, hospitality is treating you like a family, like their own. They will go an extra mile to help you. As for food, Thai foods are rich in flavor and in a sense that it can overhelm the taste buds but underwhelming at the same time because it's hard to describe the actual taste, like you'd say it's flavorful but tastes like water with a little sugar on it or like after all these flavors, it's just spicy. Thailand is far more progressive than the Philippines when it comes to infrastructure and lifestyle but I feel like the their way of living is far behind, social graces, education system. I also find a country to be progressive if the people reflect that but there is such an imbalance in Thailand, with how they treat their poor people and also the regulations they make are very impulsive and lacking good judgment, as long as they make money. Being short-sighted works for them. At worst when you get to live with them, you see that most of them are rich but they act like poor people. Some people in authority will even victimize their own people. In general, they like to appear to have a sense of spirituality but the culture reflects superficiality and love for carnal, materialistic pursuits. In dating, the exchange or connection between a foreigner and a local can feel limited, uncreative and more like an overused template like the typical overhyping of the country and its women, food and culture just to be on the trend but in reality, it's very transactional and predictable. You have to be like them to be treated like one of them. You can barely hear them use the word 'love', in relationships. Love to them is first and foremost, security and stability. They mention money more than anything else. Also, away from the nightlife, I find Thailand to be very dull. Without exoticizing it, it's just another comfort zone to those who are miserable or to those who were rejected in their own countries. Some people are just in denial. Again, this does not apply to everyone.
@@fazbell Thailand is completely built off of hype. When I first experienced Philippines back in 2016, on the time leading up to that, I cannot tell you how many Thailand fanboys were trying to sell me on Thailand being "better" than Philippines, before I ever knew anything of why this port was different than any other port I had been to up til that point. Thailand fanatics dont let Thailand speak for itself, they are so overbearing, if Thailand is so great, and so much better than PI, let me and everyone else be convinced on their own experience and terms. I went to PI first, then Thailand, I didnt see the hype other than far too many bars and clubs, to me, Thailand is a great place for a 30th bday or something, PI is better for a permanent stay for me in my opinion. Some of these people get caught on by the initial over hype of Thailand, then they ride that, even though they know they are heavily disappointed in what they imagined Thailand was from all the hype, then disappointed by reality, I was never sold on what I saw when I first got there, and remain that way til this day.
@@gangstagummybear3432 Hype, indeed. They are quite open about wanting to attract millionaires, rather than retirees with normal incomes. They fail to realize that they aren't offering much when a millionaire can live anywhere that he or she wants to. Thai people are only interested in money. They have no respect for any other culture but they INSIST that you respect theirs. Tired of being treated like a potential terrorist.
That requirement can be gotten around by using an agent. I pay my agent about 500 US dollars a year to get my visa renewals/ extensions of stay. I keep no money in a Thai bank.
Filipinos are like America's Asian cousin. We are related culturally in so many ways. Especially with the language and Catholic angle. We understand each other, and there is a bond even with the differences. Thailand is amazing but you will always feel like a foreigner.
Very few Filipino Catholics act like Jesus and very few Thais act like Buddha. The religions are more about burning candles and putting up shrines in your house.
Yes I choose Philippines or Thailand as well because Philippine is there more friendlier there are more English speaking as well and it will come your more as well so what you saying that you chose the Philippines or Thailand you make the right choice and I’m very happy for you hope you’re doing well and God bless you
lots of countries in asia becoming commercialized, like the rural areas bcoming urban ... in phils. 🏝 you can still go to lots of areas like provinces, islands, mtn. areas 🏞 and what not, where it's still country livin' .....
Mangosteen is probably the best fruit an extremely expensive in the US. I know you mentioned how cheap it is in Thailand. That fruit does wonders for your immune system, prevention of cancer and more. Definitely eat mangosteen as much as you can.
I agree, thailand has better infrastructure and medical health services than the philippines. So i gues that should be the area where the phil government will work on if they want to attrack more tourist which in turn can help boost the economy.
But I love to go out to surin and more peaceful for my family. I only started house in Bangkok for 3 months some time 4 months then I go to my house in surin until I come back to USA 🇺🇸👍👍👍.
Philippines are more friendly and hospitality in the world, an english speaking people in asia, no land boundaries over any countries that makes more safe in security and also more independent in natural resources, and most of all the only christian country in asia, philippines is unique place on earth to lived
Binge watching your content at work man. Respect, bruh. I am gonna have to pay for that consultation cuz I wanna know how to make money in the Philippines working online.
I ve been saying it for ages. I spent 5 years in the PH and 3.5 years in Thailand. The PH is better if you are a white or a black guy. TH is better if you are an E Asian guy Thailand is a lot more racist and xenophobic than the Philippines. If you are a white or a black guy, Thailand is OK for vacation, but staying there long term starts affecting you. There are all kinds of microagressions against you and they wear you down. Thais as a rule, do not feel comfortable around non Oriental people. Some do, and some are nice, but most do not. So, with exceptions , most of which are ethnic Khmers or Lao, it is not easy to make friends with them. They were never colonized and are just not used to whites, blacks etc. Some of them just try and avoid you outright. Same as the Japanese or Koreans do. Some really hate out for racial reasons but they smile so you are not aware of it. But then you start to realize it. Filipinos otoh, are used to seeing all kinds of races, and almost every extended family has someone married to a non Filipino. Making friends with different races is normal to a Filipino. But many Thais find people of other races weird, and try to ignore them. It makes you feel alienated. Also, Filipinos speak English and are Christians. That creates a lot of things in common. Thais are Buddhists and most do not speak English. And when you learn the language, you start hearing the mocking comments and understanding them. Many Thais constantly mock and make fun of whites, blacks and Indians. Filipinos also occasionally do it, but it is not as frequent. They see you as a human being more. Many high or middle class Thais do not like white people. They see them as a threat to their hegemony over the country and the large underclass. Even their health minister said that white people spread the virus. High class Filipinos are much less so. Yes, sometimes they also sit around talking s..t about Amerikanos, but way less than the Thais. It is a shame for a Thai woman to be seen with a white, black or other non Oriental. Especially if she has education. It can also happen in the PH, but it is way less frowned upon. So, yes, Filipinos can also be racist, but degreewise and frequency wise, it is maybe like 10% of Thailand. Then, the immigration and visas are much stricter in Thailand. If you leave your house for even one day and go to another province, you need to show up with your landlord at the immigration the following day and report. And you need to report to immigration every three months. Long terms visas are very hard and very expensive. And you need to carry your passport on you at all times. The Thais are way more class conscious, they look at the clothes you wear, the place you live in, and if you are not upper middle class or rich, they often look down on you. In the PH, if you are not rich, it is OK. If you dress modestly, it is OK. In Thailand, if you want to marry a girl, you need to pay a bride price to the family. It can be tens of thousands of dollars even. Three things are better in Thailand The infrastructure The quality of services The food. The rest is better in the PH. ·
Gonna be honest here, the PH is NOISY! Barking dogs and loud karaoke all day and night in most places I've been so far (6 months). Garbage/litter is also a huge issue in the PH. Also medical care in the PH is substandard.
3 days in Pattaya was too much time for me, I never need to go again, it failed to meet all the hype expectations I had from all the Thailand fanboys in my shipping company.
It's hard to tell for the individual really ,everyone needs are different the thing to do is to travel to different destinations and see if you fit in the society
My love and I went to Thailand for a Valentine's celebration (first time meeting up since the start of the pandemic) and we had a great time. She was happy to travel away from PI again and happy to be back with me and back in Thailand again. I will have to see how Singapore is as well because my love likes it there as well and if the loot is right would move there
I just got my passport again and I’m definitely trying to get out of the US. I’m 44 and single, so I think I might try the Philippines first. I hope to visit all the places TH-camrs recommend.
I don't know bro. I've been to Thailand once and the Philippines five times. Thailand was way more expensive than the Philippines. Manila was cheaper than Bangkok. Phuket was more expensive than Boracay. Both are resort places, yet Phuket was way more expensive. It's up to each person. I would rather live away from the City, but have close enough access to it. Food: Thailand is way better (not even close) 😂😂😂 Healthcare: Thailand is better according to worldwide reports on healthcare Cost of Living: Philippines is less expensive Entertainment: I would give the edge to Thailand, but it depends on what type of entertainment you like Language barrier: Philippines wins hands down Women: You pick. Both are beautiful Religion: Philippines, Catholic Christian, Thailand: Buddhist Family Assistance: You can expect to help out with families in both countries
Pls do not compare between Thai. Thailand is far ahead over Phil. Their food is spectacular. Im humbly accept the fact we are 2nd choice. No comparison better.

For me, Thailand has food and Muay Thai. Vietnam has amazing food and is the least great for martial arts but rapidly growing economy. Philippines is last in food and infra but so many people speak English and friendship is way easier. Don't know how hard it is to find Arnis instructors.
Philippines was a US territory and was US citizen before 1945. So you'll see a lot of American influence in the Philippines. Did Thailand way to expensive to living in Thailand’s special in the Bangkok area. I also had two houses in Bangkok every up scaled neighborhood I also have another house in surin.
Visited Thailand. The people are not too nice prolly bcoz they get a lot of tourists. We experienced rudeness and communication was hard making the locals more frustrated. But it’s nice to visit and experience the Thai cuisine.
I don't think they like to speak english. In tourist areas they do it as long as they can sell something to you, but it seems they think you should learn their language, which is a bit strange considering it's a major tourist destination and hardly a worldknown language. Now, outside of the tourist hot spots the ppl seem much more friendly and polite, however there it's basically only sign language that works if you don't speak thai.
@@nows1567 learning Thai is a total waste of time unless you intend to live in the place for a long time. It not a useful language like English, Spanish, or French.
So Thailand is a bit cheaper overall, interesting. How does it compare to Vietnam? I'm from a post Soviet Union country, and I believe my budget is a bit tighter than an average American, that's why living cost is more important to me at least currently, when choosing a country to stay for a few months or half a year.
I really like Vietnam, the food is very good, the people are friendly. there is not as much of a age gap in relationships. the beaches are not as nice. you would definitely want to learn the language. I found only the major cities spoke English.
@@jamesloerzel4377 Fun fact, in China, there are so many couples, where a foreigner is actually younger than his Chinese gf ( sometimes up to 7-8 years )

I spent a lot of time in Thailand and Philippines, I would say Thailand 30 Years ago But, Tourism has Ruined Thailand. Now the national Sport is Get the money from the Tourist. Thais are friendly But its because of your status and they want your money. Filipinos are Genuinely Friendly. For me its Philippines No Question about it.
When one chooses to live in a place over another, it's because one has his own preference. Thailand and the Philippines are different from each other in some aspects of ones preference. Others would choose Thailand because the things that they like are there which are important for them. Others choose the Philippines because the things of their preference are also found there. Each man has different personal preference. Agree with you sir.

I'm glad you convinced me to stay in Philippines and that's going to be my retirement destination.
I like Thailand but Philippine women are so much more beautiful for me.
That's a good question: What do you want? Each place has something different to offer. For me I am tired of the rat race in the US. That's why I chose the Philippines. Others may disagree and that's ok. To each his own.
Exactly
I haven't really spent time in Thailand, but spent many visits to the Philippines when I was younger. I'm working on setting up my Philippines retirement now, but plan on visiting various places around SE Asia, as well as pop up to Japan and Korea to visit friends up in those areas. I look forward to taking some temple tours though, so Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are sure places to visit.
You will love it
John, it is great I moved here after leaving Cebu in the Philippines which was twenty-five years ago.
No need for Temples bro....just cover for Bargirls....lol.hahaha.

(warning: long comment following)
You actually found many good reasons for going to Thailand.
I'm age 39

Phillipines are Roman Catholic

Philippines is more of fanatical Christian though. You can go to Cebu where they worship a small wooden "saintly" icon or in Pampanga where people crucify themselves to atone for their sins. It's that peculiarly "fun" in the Philippines. I'll choose Philippines mainly because of the people.
Thailand is mostly Buddhist, and I think that is beautiful.

I'm moving back to Thailand but I'll visit Philippines from time to time

Thailand fanatics dont let Thailand speak for itself, they are so overbearing, if Thailand is so great, and so much better than PI, let me and everyone else be convinced on their own experience and terms.

Some of these people get caught on by the initial over hype of Thailand, then they ride that, even though they know they are heavily disappointed in what they imagined Thailand was from all the hype, then disappointed by reality, I was never sold on what I saw when I first got there, and remain that way til this day.

Welcome to the Philippines, feels like home, your family.
Binge watching your content at work man. Respect, bruh. I am gonna have to pay for that consultation cuz I wanna know how to make money in the Philippines working online.
FELL THE FRESH AIR IN PHILIPPINES
I ve been saying it for ages. I spent 5 years in the PH and 3.5 years in Thailand.
The PH is better if you are a white or a black guy. TH is better if you are an E Asian guy
Thailand is a lot more racist and xenophobic than the Philippines.
Three things are better in Thailand
The infrastructure
The quality of services
The food.
The rest is better in the PH.

Gonna be honest here, the PH is NOISY! Barking dogs and loud karaoke all day and night in most places I've been so far (6 months). Garbage/litter is also a huge issue in the PH. Also medical care in the PH is substandard.
Bangkok is getting expensive, world wide use the Big Mac Meal as a barometer everywhere. Manila McDonald's is cheaper.
Panglao Island in Bohol is my future home. I can't wait. Very few lady boys, unlike Thailand. Lol!
Thailand is ladyboy central
on my third passport. my last stop was thailand next stop the philippines
A month in Bangkok is not enough time.
3 days in Pattaya was too much time for me, I never need to go again, it failed to meet all the hype expectations I had from all the Thailand fanboys in my shipping company.
@@gangstagummybear3432 Then more fool you.
@@tradeladder146 how?
Agree.
@@gangstagummybear3432 Pattaya is not Thailand. That's sexpat central. U guys only go where tourists go. The real Thais arent whores and scammers.
I will have to see how Singapore is as well because my love likes it there as well and if the loot is right would move there
Singapore was nice
I look forward to going to Singapore, my love will definitely be able to show me around which I will find very interesting
Thank you for loving the Philippines sir.
Food: Thailand is way better (not even close) 😂😂😂
Healthcare: Thailand is better according to worldwide reports on healthcare
Cost of Living: Philippines is less expensive
Entertainment: I would give the edge to Thailand, but it depends on what type of entertainment you like
Language barrier: Philippines wins hands down
Women: You pick. Both are beautiful
Religion: Philippines, Catholic Christian, Thailand: Buddhist
Family Assistance: You can expect to help out with families in both countries
☝️🧐,,, NOTICE,, no one ever talks about the friggin humidity? Or the lack of health care?
Pls do not compare between Thai. Thailand is far ahead over Phil. Their food is spectacular. Im humbly accept the fact we are 2nd choice. No comparison better.
Drama. It's not solely about the food.
My home my Country my Philippines 🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️I lived in the simple life 🍀🇵🇭❤️
Isn’t it harder to get a long term visa (and the benefits that come with that) v Thailand ??? I’d like to see the Philippians
So now I’m looking for another property in Thailand maybe Phuket and koh samui
Great video! I enjoy your work my Bruva... 💯
Hey Richie, Wasup man I been meaning to hit you up. I would love to get an interview with you about the same topic. I see you chose Thailand over the Philippines. I love Thailand as well been a bunch of times. I would love to get the unadulterated story on an interview. Also would love to link with you regardless. Email me when you get a chance. theblackfilipino@gmail.com
To. For…@ Naizmiranda …. Just would love ❤️ to tell you that Everything Every wards. That you have said and your comment. That is So true So So real so right 👍👍 About Thailand 🇹🇭 and Thai people. WOW how you know that? You are so smart you amazing most people don’t even know or understand But You?👍👍👍👍🙏
Jay TBF, have you try to visit one of the most modern city in the world? if not. explore BGC in Taguig Philippines...and compare which is better, Thailand or the Philippines. God Bless!
thank you
In my opinion Filipinas come with too much drama speaking from experience… but thai ladies , I talking about the pure ones not the Chinese Thai who have a high maintenance, are more friendly
Great insight! Thank you bro .
Bruh I’m from Bmore and I’m serious considering moving to the Philippines..: as a fellow 1982 baby with no kids and single … i appreciate your page my guy and I’m definitely subscribing…
Bemore in the house. Check out some spots in D.C. and Northern Va. to get a better grasp of the culture before going. It's tough moving anywhere cold blind. Plus no weed in the PI.
Thank you For Visiting Our Country Hope You come back Again New Subscriber And Watching From Philippines 👋😄🇵🇭
You bet! Great choice. I live in the US but seems like nonstop working..no time to relax unlike in the Philippines. That’s why, I’m retiring there.
For me, Thailand has food and Muay Thai. Vietnam has amazing food and is the least great for martial arts but rapidly growing economy. Philippines is last in food and infra but so many people speak English and friendship is way easier. Don't know how hard it is to find Arnis instructors.
Typhoons? been living in the PH for 35 years and it didn't bother me.
They teach arnis in schools in the Philippines. You can check out the rene catalan mixed martial arts system.
Philippines was a US territory and was US citizen before 1945. So you'll see a lot of American influence in the Philippines. So many US influence in our way of life..US colonial mentality .. as well as European influence since Spain also colonized Philippines for more than 300 years. This is why Philippines is more Westernize than other Asian nations..
❤️❤️❤️
No brainer Philippines is the bomb dawg!!!! Love it there.
What aboutcannibus, guitars, fishing, bicycles, do we bring them or buy there
welcome...
Thanks for the video brother! I'm in my mid-twenties and will be visiting the Philippines later this year!
Thank you for loving philippines guy's
Short time fun it's Thailand
Did Thailand way to expensive to living in Thailand’s special in the Bangkok area. I also had two houses in Bangkok every up scaled neighborhood I also have another house in surin.
Visited Thailand. The people are not too nice prolly bcoz they get a lot of tourists. We experienced rudeness and communication was hard making the locals more frustrated. But it’s nice to visit and experience the Thai cuisine.
Maybe because you are rude too.
Thailand is for Thailanders, much better.
I want my country to not to exploited.
Odd, I've been coming to Thailand for a Decade
I've never been treated rudely
@@jamesloerzel4377 Fun fact, in China, there are so many couples, where a foreigner is actually younger than his Chinese gf ( sometimes up to 7-8 years )
@@jamesloerzel4377 thanks, but what about the life cost there? is it cheaper or more expensive than PH?
It's 31% cheaper in Vietnam on average
Vietnam is dope. I am going to move there.
Philippines wins hands down there's no comparison they speak English they treat Americans like a rockstar and the women are the most beautiful woman in the world
I spent a lot of time in Thailand and Philippines, I would say Thailand 30 Years ago But, Tourism has Ruined Thailand. Now the national Sport is Get the money from the Tourist. Thais are friendly But its because of your status and they want your money. Filipinos are Genuinely Friendly. For me its Philippines No Question about it.
I noticed that as well
When one chooses to live in a place over another, it's because one has his own preference. Thailand and the Philippines are different from each other in some aspects of ones preference. Others would choose Thailand because the things that they like are there which are important for them. Others choose the Philippines because the things of their preference are also found there. Each man has different personal preference. Agree with you sir.
