I have a Canik TP9DA. It is crazy reliable and extremely accurate and easy to shoot. I’m glad to see that specific model get some love because it’s not one of the Canik models that gets reviewed often
I have the tp9sf elite and it’s great. There are tons of guns in the size range and capability but not the price. Before I bought mine, I shot a sig p320, xdm 45/40, s&w shield 2.0, a Glock 19, and then the Canik tp9sf elite. I went with the Canik bc of the feel, price, the amount of gun you get. It’s definitely a do-all edc pistol, especially my first.
My guess would be something like the 511 Select Carry Sling Backpack. You can have it stowed in the bag, an open carried sidearm on your waist, and the "fanny pack" of the front strap(yes, I know it is removable and converts to an actual fanny pack) can hold a smaller backup pistol(mine actually fits a 1911).
Even though 9mm is not the cheapest of ammo anymore, it's a lot easier to find and still cheaper than 5.7x28. I definitely say that Canik wins! I'm also a Canik owner
Great to hear all the great reviews on Canik. I’m a Glock owner but I am going to be a Canik owner very soon. As well as a Sig Sauer. Only dilemma is which one to get first 😩
I love my Canik TP9 SF Elite honestly. The 9mm round is easy to shoot, no where near as recoil intensive as larger calibers but I still want to grab a Desert Eagle in .50AE just for the fun of it.
I’ve owned a lot of handguns especially a lot of smith and Wesson’s and Glocks but my Canik tp9 elite takes the cake best handgun for under 1000$ all day
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the M&P M2.0 9mm, especially in the 4 inch compact variety. As a do-it-all pistol, I think it’s a winner. It is a gun that doesn’t NEED anything out of the box. The grip, trigger, sights, capacity, ergonomics are all good to go. Is it better than the VP9? I don’t know. The only H&K pistols I’ve owned are the full size USP .45 and the P2000sk in .357 SIG. I definitely like the S&W better than both of those.
The 1911 is a 110 year old design that, in my humble opinion, has the best trigger of any production pistol out of the box. And I'm a Glock fanboy. By my own admission Glock factory triggers are adequate but they are not even close or compare to 1911 triggers. Browning and Glock were hands down the most innovative pistol designers of the 20th century.
@@jasonsippola183 my edc is a 10mm 1911 that is double stacked. It's the most reliable gun I own that I'm the most accurate with. If I can't carry that It's my glock 43x with shield arms mags
@@JoseVazquez-xg4xw love the 10mm! Velocity like 9mm pushing 200g bullets. Hit like a Mack truck and recoil is not prohibitive. Single stack Glocks are great CC options. Magazines are the biggest factor that affect reliability.
I LOVE the M&P. I replaced the trigger with the flat-faced Apex trigger, softest spring and it is AMAZING to shoot. I love the look, everything about it
The Canik TP9DA was my first hand gun I purchased and I love it, it feels great in my hand, super accurate, and it's not too big so I can carry it if wanted to, not to mention I like the burnt Bronze finish.
Glad to see the Canik in there! FYI the sfx 20rd mag will fit in the SC... so 13-15rd compact carry with a backup 20rd mag. Bought both use both love both.
Great choices, all of them. I concur with Alek though 💪🏼😎🇺🇲 For me, the Canik TP9 pistol models are all superb, outstanding modern combat handguns. I own three: a TP9 DA, a TP9 SF, and a METE SFT (the best). I have nothing but praises about them. Unfortunately, the Canik TP9 DA is poorly misunderstood by many people, but, in reality, it is a fantastic carry handgun, sadly overlooked, yet one of the finest (and it costs only around $400 dollars!).
With “do all” being the word choice I’d have to say the Glock 23. Going back to their “do all” rifle list, one of their points is having a platform that can be changed around to use different calibers with ease. The Glock 23 (or any Glock chambered in .40 s&w) has to be the easiest weapon on the market to do so. Just by changing out the stock barrel with a lone wolf or other conversion barrels you could have the same thing as a Glock 19(9mm) or a Glock 32(.357 sig). Hell there’s even conversions to shoot .22lr out of the same firearm. So when I see “do all” there’s not a single gun I can think of that could reliably and accurately be able to. fire 4 different calibers with the same ease and comfort as the Glock 23.
I would say a Ruger Redhawk .45 would be fair competition. No barrel change, you can run .45 LC, .45 ACP (with moon clips), and 410 gauge shotgun ammo. No plinking focused option, but you do have some flexibility with the shotgun capability. All without any additional parts to keep track of.
That Canik is absolutely sweet. My brother bought one and it's trigger and balance are superb. Accurate and is Tacticool.. I own 2. Had three but someone offered a crazy amount of money for the SC Elite Compact so we had to part ways. Next one I get will be the TP9SDA...

Canik Rules. I just got a TP9SFx and I am totally blown away by it -- not just the trigger and all the extras in the box - it is super high quality at about half the price of any equivalent.
My canik tp9da is so comfortable in the hand and for the price that trigger is so smooth. I’m so glad y’all said you prefer them over glocks. I like glocks for the individuality and customization but performance wise canik all day

I have the Walther Q5 but never owned or shot a Canik. I’m looking for a winter carry/do all pistol under $700 (bc if you have to use it LE takes the gun as evidence until the investigation or trials over which could be years)
@@oceaser6977 I have both a Q5 and a TP9SFX. Comparable trigger, similar ergonomics. Tbh, damn near identical. I've even swapped the slides out of curiosity, and they pass function check. Haven't had the guts to try firing as such though lol.

My 92F 9mm was my duty pistol when the department switched over to semi-auto in the mid ‘80’s . Changed over from my S&W 686. Wanted a Sig but department required a manual safety. Got over 5,500 rounds fired thru it and still going strong. I’m large enough to CCW with it esp. in cooler temps with a shoulder rig. Carry Walther PPK/S as backup.
Glad to see a canik on this list. Especially in that spot. I had a guy tell me the other day that they aren't good guns, nahhh mann they aren't bad at all for the price. If I can get a canik tp9 elite sc cheaper (or same price) as a S&W shield plus then I'll probably go with the tp9sc honestly. Good concealability, great trigger, decent after market stuff you can do and the price tag is the biggest thing. Great ccw for the price. Shield plus is too, maybe a little better because of its concealability but still.
I love my Beretta 92F...yes it's hard to conceal carry but I do in the winter. my #1 is the Shield Plus...nice sights, easy to carry and good amount of ammo in the mags. I also love the Walther PDP as well.
Staccato C2 DUO is arguably the best 'do-all' on the market. From CCW to HD to range, 17+1, just 4oz heavier than G19 empty but (equal or)more accurate than Shadow2. Red dot, light/laser. What's not to like?
Imo 'do-all' needs to take price into consideration as well. After all most people willing and able to spend over $2,000 on a gun wouldn't be looking for a 'do all' gun in the first place as they'd just buy multiple.
I have a 4" M&P 9 2.0 compact, with a 500 lumen Streamlight TLR-7 in a Legacy Firearms lighbearing holster. 17 rd mag for bedside, 15 rd mag for concealed carry. I determined a compact weapon light more valuable than night sights.
18:46 - Quite possibly, the best, “who brought this guy?” face I’ve seen in years. I’ve haven’t seen a more eye roll non-eye roll since the cat saw the dog get his head stuck in the fence...
I agree i have a czp10c and a glock 19 its pretty much truly a glock on roids!! Better trigger better sights just as good if not a better gun it DEF should have been on list least. Its my #1 all day!!
I picked up the canik da and sc at the end of March. Great handguns. I especially like the fact that the mags are interchangeable. Picked up a 32 round pro mag, I'll see how it runs in them next week.
I own two custom VP9s (one for range and one for ccw) for one main reason Alex made. I’m left handed so the ambi controls are important to me. Very nice pistol.
Alek grabs every pistol in his top 5 and racks the slide, puts a magazine in racks the slide, takes the magazine out racks the slide, puts the gun down picks it up and racks the slide, goes to the bathroom racks the slide then comes back and racks the slide 4 or 5 more times for good measure smh
"You don't like racks then you must be gay and use your chair as jacket" look at me I'm BobDixon and can't form a sentence that makes any sense. Bob is trying real hard to be funny, but he has the intellect of a window licker. Piss off troll.
I started my Canik journey with the TP9-SFx, a long slide match gun. Just 2 days ago I bought a Canik TP9DA, only in blackout. Between these two, I'm hooked. Probably going to get a TP9-SFx METE if I can find one. Seems they sell out as fast as they come off the delivery truck.
Personally love my PPQ Q4 Tac. Shot probably 2k rounds through it and never once had an issue. While it's not my carry gun anymore it has a permanent spot on my nightstand.
The Canik's trigger is identical to the Walther P99AS, which I own, and love. Given how rare the Walther is these days, you can't go wrong with the Canik.
Clint, it would be AWESOME if you guys could take some time and categorize your videos in the playlist section. It would make it much easier for people like myself to find specific types of videos such as manufacturer reviews.
Having been a SAMI in the Military I am also a Beretta fanboy. Have a 92FS shooter, 92X shooter and the keepsake for the Military service. I use to be a M&P fanboy, till I got my first H&K. I sold all but one of my M&P's and never plan to buy another. Not even in the same ballpark and at best would be a 5. Carry is a P30 & P30sk because I dig a carry with a hammer with no safety. I have a tricked out red dot VP9 that I love to shoot and a stock VP9 that is a bedside gun. Also a lefty so the H&K is a godsend for us types. Jut purchased a Shadow Systems XR 920 Elite and Holosun came in today. I have high hopes on enjoying it very much with some range time. Great Video Guys!
Just recently fired a few of my buddies canik and I was shocked at how crisp the triggers were even on the entry level end the triggers are amazing but you can’t beat the rival best striker fired trigger hands down.
I bought a Canik TP9DA absolutely love it I’m a beginner and I hit 100rd swing target 3 out of 12 times. I had to get a 9mm because all I had pistol wise was a 1911 my dad gave me when I turned 21 and it’s super easy to shoot very accurate and had zero jams so far even tho I’ve only been through 200 rounds a lot lighter to carry too and for the price you can’t freaking beat it
Tp9 da is by far the best all around gun. I have both the tp9 da(my favorite gun I own and bought at classic firearms, love the burnt bronze) and a db15. I LOVE my DB 15 and diamond back as a company in general but the topic is DO ALL.
I forgot who but there is a popular trainer out there that has been referring to the 1911 as "God's gun" for a while. A quality 1911 is extremely enjoyable to shoot.
I have some nice guns, G45 MOS, Sig P320 AXG, Walther PDP, P10C, Sig P365XL, M9A3…but my favorite is my 1911 TRP Operator in .45! It’s an awesome handgun…but my favorite do it all gun has to be the AXG…that gun is sexy, I’m very accurate with it, it’s reliable, and the modularity is great…I can slap a compact polymer frame if I want and not look back
I've been subbed for a while and I gotta say I love your intro. The music jives well with the action and the final boom when the 50 goes off...love it.
If I was going to have a list of do all carry and all-around handgun it would absolutely have the Sig P226, the 1911, the CZ sp01/CZ 75b, the beretta m9/92 and Starr model b.
9mm is great. You can carry more of it. You can train with it. It’s cheaper. It’s low recoil. It’s faster. It’s truly just the best round. That is why I carry a .45.
I actually own a canik. I've gotta say it's a pretty great gun. I have the SFx and its very accurate easily the best stock trigger I've ever felt. Canik also earned the nickname: the glock killer.
I agree I also think it would be cool if Canik made an SFX Elite model with an even longer barrel and slide+mag/slide controls extended and a charging handle Like every feature on a higher end race gun for sub 1000
I think 🤔 that the Sig P226 in .40 S&W should have made the list at #1. A full sized battle proven handgun that can shot 3 calibers with drop in barrels. Quality, accurate, used by military and police in many nations.
Maybe its more of a statement to my personal "thicccc-ness" but I EDC a beretta concealed without issue. Have to say I would've put it higher but Die Hard is my favorite Christmas movie which is absolutely why I love them so.
I think the 92fs series of pistols is the best all around pistol design, they’re easy to maintain and clean they are accurate and they are not picky with ammo. The double action trigger is very heavy but with the right trigger job I think it can be the perfect pistol.
I don't think they have CZ in stock since the video is more for marketing/sales. I have 3 p-10c/f and p07/09 each. They are great guns and no less than competitors on the market. I used so many pistols and feel they are all very similar, not like people think there is a clear winner or significant advantage. It all come down to bang for the bucks and due to that I don't buy glock/sig/hk/fn/m&p due to price reason but go with cz/grand power/arex/iwi/canik/sar, of course I won't buy junk either like highpoint or kel-tec . By the way I believe there may be a gun with clear advantage out there called laugo alien. You can find videos on you tube, but super expensive, msrp 5k and 9k on gunbroker for a used. XD
My favorite all around gun is my Glock 34MOS with 20round Glock OEM mags and TLR-1 HL light and Ameriglo night sights . This is my bedside gun and I love these 20 round FDE OEM Glock mags, the mild extension is great for balance on this particular Glock
I just recently bought a new Walther Creed 9mm for $285, and a new S&W M&P40 M2.0 Compact for $325. Both with cases, accs, 2 mags w/ Creed and 3 mags with M&P40, plus shipping and tax. Love them both. I also bought a Sar9 and a Tisas PX-9. They are nice also. I am currently shopping for a Canik model or a Girsan Regard model. Maybe a Glock and maybe a M9A3.
@@vgman94 The P-07 is lighter and a bit shorter, lends itself better to concealed carry. If you're gonna buy an all around/do all gun, CCW is part of "all around" and "do all", and full size guns aren't so great for that.
I think anything Glock 19 size like sig p320c, cz p07, Fn 509 mid, smith and Wesson m&p compact, Walther ppq are all the do it all pistols. It has the perfect balance for carriablity, concealability, and capacity.
I'd take the m&p every time. I would have to go with what I carry now glock 19 gen5. Front serrations and upgraded trigger hands down my number 1 all around pistol
Not to sound like a Fudd but I found it comical that you said it's difficult to find a firearm that has served as long or been as reliable as the Glock rite after the 1911 and M9?
If you're REALLY wanting a "do-all" then the Hi-point is your winner! If you run out of ammo, it can be used as a club, tomahawk, shovel, hammer....
Or jamb
Once you run out of rounds...it becomes a door stop, a paper weight, a hammer, a boomerang.
Actually, you're more likely to do all those things before running out of ammo with a hiPoint
😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@Noadvantage246 I agree. I'd rather buy a g19 17 and 26 for the price of 1 staccato and have a gun for everything I do
I love my Sig P229 in .357 Sig. It's small enough to conceal and large enough to be a primary sidearm.
You are wise
18:46 - Quite possibly, the best, “who brought this guy?” face I’ve seen in years. I’ve haven’t seen a more eye roll non-eye roll since the cat saw the dog get his head stuck in the fence...
I just cannot believe the CZ P10-C didn’t make either list.
or any CZ's for that matter...
@@chaosknife EXACTLY!!!!
I agree i have a czp10c and a glock 19 its pretty much truly a glock on roids!! Better trigger better sights just as good if not a better gun it DEF should have been on list least. Its my #1 all day!!
Great gun, only negative is that it has a ridiculously small trigger guard.
They don't have more than 4 pistols.... That's why 🤣 otherwise they've gotta start putting in pictures
Totally agree. Canik is awesome
I picked up the canik da and sc at the end of March. Great handguns. I especially like the fact that the mags are interchangeable. Picked up a 32 round pro mag, I'll see how it runs in them next week.
@Estep Rants about Politics My 32 round pro mag seems to work ok with ball ammo only. It will jam with hollow points.
Love the sound of racking a handgun. No complaints.
@@andyhenderson441 I do as well in moderation...He was a bit excessive at the end imo lol
😂😂😂😂
You don’t like racks then you must be gay and use your chair for your jacket
I got both the PPQ M2 .4O and the 9mm sub compact. They both have about a thousand rounds each through them. I love my Walthers
I am a Walther and Canik fan-man 💪🏼😎🇺🇲
The Canik's trigger is identical to the Walther P99AS, which I own, and love. Given how rare the Walther is these days, you can't go wrong with the Canik.
The exact reason I got one, haven’t had luck with p99s in my area (north AL) but boyyyyy is this tp9sa mod2 sweet.
Clint, it would be AWESOME if you guys could take some time and categorize your videos in the playlist section. It would make it much easier for people like myself to find specific types of videos such as manufacturer reviews.
Non Specialty Type Guns Top 5
1. Walther PPQ 45
2. Glock 19X
3. Sig P365
4. CZ P-01
5. Beretta M9
-19x because of the base plates
List I would like to see;
Top five SHTF guns
Top five perfect pairs
Top five fighting guns/ go to war guns
Only if they have them in stock
I like where you're going with this.
I had to get a 9mm because all I had pistol wise was a 1911 my dad gave me when I turned 21 and it’s super easy to shoot very accurate and had zero jams so far even tho I’ve only been through 200 rounds a lot lighter to carry too and for the price you can’t freaking beat it
Alek definitely takes the whole list
Tp9 da is by far the best all around gun. I have both the tp9 da(my favorite gun I own and bought at classic firearms, love the burnt bronze) and a db15. I LOVE my DB 15 and diamond back as a company in general but the topic is DO ALL.
I’m using “45 is gods caliber” for the rest of my life.
I forgot who but there is a popular trainer out there that has been referring to the 1911 as "God's gun" for a while. A quality 1911 is extremely enjoyable to shoot.
Meh. 10mm is better
"MuH tWo WoRlD wArS"
@@___meph___4547 how are the 357 sigs. i haven’t heard of that caliber in a while
@@Natedawg2xx expensive lol
The Beretta M9A3 was my first pistol purchase very pleased with it. If only I could go and shoot it more so I could actually train.
Sad the Shadow Systems mr920 wasn't up there. I do agree that Canik is super underrated. Another amazing video boys!
I have some nice guns, G45 MOS, Sig P320 AXG, Walther PDP, P10C, Sig P365XL, M9A3…but my favorite is my 1911 TRP Operator in .45! It’s an awesome handgun…but my favorite do it all gun has to be the AXG…that gun is sexy, I’m very accurate with it, it’s reliable, and the modularity is great…I can slap a compact polymer frame if I want and not look back
Like that 357 sig shout out 👍
I've been subbed for a while and I gotta say I love your intro. The music jives well with the action and the final boom when the 50 goes off...love it.
If I was going to have a list of do all carry and all-around handgun it would absolutely have the Sig P226, the 1911, the CZ sp01/CZ 75b, the beretta m9/92 and Starr model b.
Wrong
@Taylor Bridges correct
I had a Taurus 380 that I liked real well! Nice size gun with 38 power. Good carry size, but only 7-8 rounds. Very dependable!
9mm is great. You can carry more of it. You can train with it. It’s cheaper. It’s low recoil. It’s faster. It’s truly just the best round. That is why I carry a .45.
Caniks are sneaky good. Shot my friend’s TP9SF Subcompact and was very impressed with its accuracy at distance.
Awesome i have 6 caniks, and that is one of my favorites
gray shirt had a superior list. love the 1911 and was convinced to do more research on the q4 tac looks sweet
I actually own a canik. I've gotta say it's a pretty great gun. I have the SFx and its very accurate easily the best stock trigger I've ever felt. Canik also earned the nickname: the glock killer.
Not 2 mention Canik Fanatics arent jus following the herd. Most people are ridin reverse cowgirl on a overrated ass glock 32 round stick mag. 🤣💀
Graduate to an M&P
@@DinoNucci I used to have an M&P 2.0 compact... the caniks trigger, stock, is better. My SFx is more accurate than it as well.
@@keithbland9023 no
@@DinoNucci that's it? Just no? Well, unfortunately my friend, no just doesn't trump the first hand experience that I've had with both. Sorry.
Still love my steel frame Jericho 941 (CZ clon). Only negative for me is the size - but I can also shoot really well with it being so big and heavy.
I was expecting to see a sig on someone’s list especially with the modularity of the sig P320 platform
Still my favorite intro of any firearms channel
I think it would be cool if Canik made the DA in compact and sub compact versions.
I agree
I also think it would be cool if Canik made an SFX Elite model with an even longer barrel and slide+mag/slide controls extended and a charging handle
Like every feature on a higher end race gun for sub 1000
I absolutely love my canik!
I think 🤔 that the Sig P226 in .40 S&W should have made the list at #1.
A full sized battle proven handgun that can shot 3 calibers with drop in barrels. Quality, accurate, used by military and police in many nations.
Before even watching the video, this series has quickly become one of my favorites on TH-cam.
Maybe its more of a statement to my personal "thicccc-ness" but I EDC a beretta concealed without issue. Have to say I would've put it higher but Die Hard is my favorite Christmas movie which is absolutely why I love them so.
Just tape it to your back, John McClane style.
He spends all night in tower hiding from Alan Rickman; Die Hard is a Harry Potter movie ;)
I love the top 5 fight, new favorite series
With "do all" in title I kinda expected a p320 to hit the table at some point.
Hit the table and go off?
@@rt19187 you should get yours checked out because mine don't do that.
The Diamondback technicality was slightly frustrating. Next time make the parameters something along the lines of "holsterable"? Good video guys.
Love some caniks
Maaan i love me some canik ! I got three of them and i love them waaaay better than glocks. I got two more caniks i gotta add to my collection
Evan's #1 beats Clint's for sure. Canik is underrated
“Alek”....and YEP
I think the 92fs series of pistols is the best all around pistol design, they’re easy to maintain and clean they are accurate and they are not picky with ammo. The double action trigger is very heavy but with the right trigger job I think it can be the perfect pistol.
Canik ftw!
Tp9DA I own the same one .It just feels so right for 400 bucks the best deal on the market.
No CZ 75? Incredible ergonomics, unsurpassed reliability, and a do-all. Huge fail that it didn’t make either of your lists.
We took this for granted. Miss you guys. Hope the best for you both.
what about the CZ P10 series???
XD
Cz75b, Cz75, shadow....., wait the entire CZ line!
@@blakerust200 true!
Great pick I would say is the CZ P07. I would agree on the M&P M2.0 as well.
The Sig p320 is the most moduler, customizable, & is reliable, & should of found a spot on the table.
It’s not proven yet. And has had issues.
My favorite all around gun is my Glock 34MOS with 20round Glock OEM mags and TLR-1 HL light and Ameriglo night sights .
This is my bedside gun and I love these 20 round FDE OEM Glock mags, the mild extension is great for balance on this particular Glock
Alek wins this round, hands down.
Agreed. Aside from the FNX, it's not even close.
What about a CZ 75 variant like the SP-01?
Seriously. No CZ at all? Crazy to me.
For a do everything CZ, right now I'd point towards the P-07, IMO the best all-around gun they make right now.
@@Divenity What does the P-07 have that the SP-01 lacks to make it an all rounder?
@@vgman94 The P-07 is lighter and a bit shorter, lends itself better to concealed carry. If you're gonna buy an all around/do all gun, CCW is part of "all around" and "do all", and full size guns aren't so great for that.
I have an SP-01 and wouldn’t trade it for any of the pistols on their lists.
Thought I saw my Canik in the thumbnail. Yep! Good gun.
My list is
1. Sig P320 X-Carry
2. Glock 19
3 S&W M&P 9
4 1911
5 Beretta 92
Yes...this list
I really liked the M&P9 when I was looking at it. The price was very reasonable too.
Canik SF series pistols are amazing. 🔥💯
I think anything Glock 19 size like sig p320c, cz p07, Fn 509 mid, smith and Wesson m&p compact, Walther ppq are all the do it all pistols. It has the perfect balance for carriablity, concealability, and capacity.
Jeff Cooper is rolling in his grave right now at the fact that there isn't a CZ 75 and that the 1911 wasn't number one. 😂
Don't ignore the Browning Hi-Power either.
ive had two m an p 9s full size an compact 2.0 both are great shooting an good carry pistols
