One of my all-time favorite molds, and this one still looks amazing. I had no clue these could combine, nice inclusion to the vid. great as always.
This just shows how the Transformers Community can come together and share with each other no matter our age or differences in lifestyle to really enjoy a hobby that is like no other and a wonderful review as always 🤖
The combination with Megatron is such a fan mode XD It is so funny to see a G2 figure being outfitted for a combination mode to an Armada figure, with a SINGLE screw hole! They could have at least added another one since there are two ports on the back.
This combination gets even wilder when you attach the Tidalwave pieces to it. You have to be creative with Tidalwave's legs, but it can be done.
Can't believe I'm first. There's also "Dark MegaWing Megatron" which combines everything with Tidal Wave, which never materialized due to 3H's disintegration. Although part of RID 2001, this set was released well into Armada, which probably explains the "MegaWing Megatron" combination.
I saw that, but unfortunately I don't have a Tidal Wave or I would've shown that off too.

Man during Armada I stuck with in show figs only. If knew of that bonus I would have snagged that set right away.

I prefer the gaudy G2 colors (though these colors aren't bad at all), but the RiD 2001 has the better rocket launcher. Decisions, decisions... maybe if I ever find them, I'll get both.
Excellent video, brother! I'd never even heard of this figure set until today, and I had nearly everything RiD, Armada & Universe that I could find back at that point in time... But never even saw, much less heard of these guys, at all until now. I definitely would have picked them up though! They're way cool looking figures, AND being able to combine with Armada Galva/Megatron is even better.
I knew Tidalwave could combine with them, but THIS is a whole new set of information! Too cool, man.
NOW... The question I have, is THIS:
We know that the Armada (& Energon) Tidalwave figure(s) can combine with BOTH the Armada versions AND the Combiner Wars Armada (& regular) Megatron figures... BUT can these guys also combine with the CW leader class Megatron too...?

I remember grabbing these from a ToysRUs in the UK back in the day, they were my first experience of the mold. Now I have them, the Beast Wars, and Robot Masters.. still need the G2 to complete the set though. Love em! I always think of this DreadWing as the Decepticon equivalent of (TFP) Bulkhead, somehow. Big smashy boi!

Fortunately I had an Armada Megatron to try it out.

Okay, as fiddly as that combination with Armada Megatron might be, it's still pretty impressive that it works at all considering Dreadwind and Smokejumper are essentially G2 molds and Megs came almost ten years later.
Green color is far better in my opinion. Great review as always

And on another note, I love that ridiculous combo! Leader 1 looks like he's acting as face protection for Megatron! XD

Awesome review! I was unaware of the missile lock feature added. He's nearly worth the price for that alone, lol. Interesting Armada Megatron combination. o_0. I love the color scheme of this RID version, yet the stark black, gray, and yellow of "Starscrem" & BB from BWII, still call to me, lol. Then again I grew up with the G2 version. Well, I'll just have to have all three, right?! Keep up the great work, Jason, man! =P

Planning to build up a sort've Neo Predators shelf, starting with these guys. Also gonna pick up: RID Skyfire, Universe 2003 Soundwave (whom I'll rename Buzzard), RID Wind Sheer, Universe 2003 Space Case (whom I'll rename X-Gunner), Robotmasters Air Hunter, Universe 2003 Wind Shear (whom I'll rename Hyena) & Robotmasters Wingstun. Display them with Nitro Zeus (leader), DOTM Space Case, Ace Evader (Thrillin' 30s Dreadwind), Deadrock (Cybertron Sky Shadow), Movie 07 Jolt, Hooligan (ROTF Fearswoop) & ROTF Thrust.

Great review it wasn’t rid line it was part of the universe toy line that was out during the armada toy line which was later the continuation into the genrations line
You realize of course, now you must find the Beast Wars II BB and Starscream (black Predacon repaints) and the Robot Masters Gigant Bomb and Smoke Sniper (Blue and Grey Decepticon repaints)

One a thicc Con he is and Smokejumper is nice too and nice robot mode I never see two Decepticons have awesome robots modes. I think in Takara use them as recolor as thicc boy Dreadwind as BB he say Roger a lot and his sidekick Starscream as Predacons troops from Transformers Beast Wars 2nd different from them well the colors BB and Predacon Starscream are purple and black and yellow eyes and pretty much it thank you for the video Prime sir.
There is another version of them as BB and starscream from beastwars second and i think that japanese ver you can lock the chest
P.s:their version are in skywarp colors kinda with yellow
