That's why I carry a Bradford necker and/or guardian at all times along with my edc. Good advice and safe hunting.

I remember you on forged in fire episodes... you do great work! I'll be carrying my knife 11.5" (6"l×2"w) blade and handle 5.5" in a horizontal sheath. Easy to carry in brush, and kept safely behind me for better extraction... good video sir. Blue Skeleton

Right on! I carry only fixed blades. I had a Hogue, Microtech, and a Gerber 06 FAIL on me.
I carry a WINKLER belt knife or a TOOR darter in Ranger Green! Awesome knives.
Good luck , and happy trails!

Off course they failed. You have to try a ColdSteel folder with their triad lock system 💪

BKT colab's with ESEE on their BK14 model. Worth the aftermarket sheath and scales, as you'll be left with a life companion that can go with you anywhere, is field serviceable, universally capable, and fully abuse-worthy.

Friction sheaths are the best sheaths. If they stay in when you need them to and can be pulled out when you need to it’s the best.

I agree. Esp in a state like MT that makes it so easy to legally carry pretty much any knife you want, I don't see why you wouldn't carry a fix bladed knife everywhere, all the time. I put my folders in the dresser and started carrying a fixed blade on my belt for EDC in 2017, and never looked back.

I wouldn't want to fight a predator with a fixed blade, but in that situation a gun would take to long to kill that animal without a perfect shot, but sticking a fixed blade and twisting it around in there will drop it quicker that you would think

Carrying a fixed or foldable knife is ASKING for legal problems. Any use in self defense could result in arrest. Much better to carry pepper spray, or other non lethal weapons, where "self defense" is much more obvious and the intention to use in a threatening manner has to be proved.

The best thing you could do would be to throw a fish to him! Chances are that he will take it as a frIendly act and not eat you? So you better be good at fishing!
    Le he. Will take
