Learn and watch the forgotten art of wobbling deadbaits for pike. Rich shows you one of his favourite predator fishing tactics. This is a fantastic, exciting way to catch big pike.
Had some decent results over the years using this method and by adding oils with a syringe to frozen baits. .or if fresh deadbaits I add oils to bag before freezing until required best wishes for festive period rich
Enjoyed that, informative and some nice action. Similar to what I've recently been doing after a while without action on the float fished smelt. Off comes the float and a bit of wobbling usually gets me a bonus fish.
I like to use a combination of float and wobbled deadbait on rivers. Trotting the bait down towards features, then retrieving very slowly, so that the bait rises and falls in the current, often has pike following the bait and induces takes.
I can recall my fist pike on a wobbling dead-bait. I must have been 13yo, made myself a makeshift rig with two trebbles, threw a span length perch boom, a pike nailed soooo hard. It seems pike have more confidence in natural bait.
I lost an absalout monster on my 2nd ever cast trying the method I'm new to piking but not to fishing was 10000% in the 30lb range venue know to have a couple 40s
Brilliant rich, amazing quality and very informative and interesting decently gonna be giving this ago
Cheers mate
Great video. Thanks. Sometimes the pike like a kinked bait that twists. Sometimes it’s better to have the bait straight.

I am so going to deadbait this fall, eff yea. It's july/august atm and obviously I'm stacking up on baitfish, mostly rudd and roach.

Ur better off keeping the bait straight and twitching it to immitate an injured fish the bend on the fish doesn’t look very natural 😂
