Prior to making this video my only knowledge of Twin Peaks was limited to watching the series itself (and the prequel movie).
But after I've made it I've watched this great breakdown from someone much more educated on the topic: th-cam.com/video/7AYnF5hOhuM/w-d-xo.html
I do agree with the author about 95% of things, it makes a lot of sense, and I highly recommend you to watch it.
However, the funniest thing is that my interpretation on a meta-level does not contradict his. What he says about the American obsession with TV violence is what I call hell in this video. And hell transcends just TV violence. ;)

Sorry, this explanation really rambles, and is basically a list of personal observations not really tied together with any evidence. Further, some elements are mentioned and kind of laughed about, but no explanation for them at all. The obsession with Hell here only works for very few of the scenes described in my opinion. I think Twin Perfect has the explanation nailed down much better and with infinite amounts of detail to back it up.

@@policematrixx I get your point. Twin Peaks is true, because it's been watched all over the world. Ergo, America is the gateway to hell.

Enjoyed the video but somewhat disagree with your thesis. I think you are really close to coming to an accurate interpretation of the series as a whole however when discussing twin peaks, and lynch in general, duality is, in my opinion, key. If in Lynch’s eyes, he sees America as the last bastion of humanity before the gates of hell (black lodge), also consider that there is an equally powerful force or realm guiding them (white lodge). I agree with your last statement that there more conclusions supporting your theory however one must both recognize the good and the bad; balance is the key.
