- Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier joins us over Zoom to chat through the band's latest album 'Fortitude', featuring the singles 'The Chant', 'Another World', 'Born For One Thing' and 'Amazonia'. We talk through their writing sessions over the last year, creating the recent track 'Into The Storm' and the meaning behind that strong album title. Plus live music plans and raising money and awareness for causes close to the band's heart.

@@ericvalverderosado2046 I wish I could talk to people that think veganism means missing out on good food. I'm eating more good food now than ever, and more of a variety of foods too! :)
@@Itsunclegabby exactly! I eat a variety of delicious healthy foods as a vegan. Prior to that, it was just the same 4 dead animals and their secretions. Gross. I can’t imagine ever doing that again. Always remember, basically all seasonings and spices that make food palatable and tasty are vegan!
I really like Joe's approach...he's not like the people that just wants to shame you, scream at your face and tell you how to do your stuff. he calls to use your critical thinking. He's a very full person when it comes to knowledge and I love that kind of artist that proves blue and white collars don’t exist.
The best metal band of the last decade or more and also the nicest guys. So happy they're finally getting the recognition they deserve.

I'm a relatively new fan. My eldest son has gone to see Gojira 4 times and I became a fan after listening to Silvera over Christmas. I dove into the catalogue and Terra Incognita is my fave album. Fortitude is great also. Amazing band. Love Super Mario on the drums. He is the best drummer I have ever heard or seen live. Fantastic music and messages. This old metalhead is a new fan. Gojira is awesome.

Bonne interview. Powerful messages, deep thoughts as always with Joe.
Always dabbled in Gojira and wanted to get into them but never started digging in. People always recommended being I am such a big Mastodon fan (especially their first 4 albums). Now I am finally digging in, I'm enjoying them a lot, and Im liking the Fortitude album a lot. I may not align with some of his social leanings or whatever you call it but I like the music, they're a talented band

Best song of the 4, probably Amazonia, worst one for me has to be Into The Storm, for me it starts so well, but can’t get past the chorus. Hold On, Sphinx and Grind, i hope are heavy to compensate the more melodic tunes, fingers crossed for tomorrow! Still love this band to death

alright, i’ve heard all the songs now, just one listen into the new ones. Overall first impression, it’s alright, but it’s not going to be for me.. grind and sphinx were dissapointing tbh. New found was a pleasant surprise. The chorusses i just don’t like, overuse of the same pickscrape, it’s overall dissapointing... like into the storm get’s a lot of love, and it starts so well, but that damn chorus man... oh well
