The guy at the end was right. You must see Gojira live. Album versions or live videos do not do them justice. Their massive sound takes over the venues like a storm. It's an experience. I remember them opening for In Flames back around 2009 and they absolutely stole the show. They are a tough act to follow. I've seen them about 5 times since and it never gets old.

Ça m'étonne pas les 3 reportage a la suite du coup étant donné qu'aucun (ou presque) autre média n'as relevé le fait que des français soit nominé (Mais par contre Daft punk qui va faire mumuse sur scène ils en parle ça :') )

There are no prima donnas in this band. They are humble and funny and real. The music is off the freakin' charts. Metal heads LOVE Gojira. Mainstream Grammy Awards have no clue really. Most of them have never heard one note of their music. I'm surprised and pleased that someone listened to this album. It was the first one I bought and I love it. Got it on my 61st birthday from my son. Both are big fans also. They got me hooked on them and now I listen to everything they do. They lost (on y perdu! lol) but the fans know they won. They are still the best metal band in the universe and Metallica is so mainstream. Talented but it's like Grammy picked the one they knew best and I totally disagree with Cage the Elephant even being in that category. Not heavy enough.

If anything its nice that the nomination helped spread your music to people who otherwise might never have heard of you, but unfortunately grammy awards aren't usually given based on merit. Who needs it? Music, to me, is a part of life, not a once a year event. Your music to me is one of the most cathartic experiences I've ever had; I cant help but feel a sense of immense joy that surpasses the anger, frustration, and depression. Got it on my 61st birthday from my son. Both are big fans also. They got me hooked on them and now I listen to everything they do. They lost (on y perdu! lol) but the fans know they won. They are still the best metal band in the universe and Metallica is so mainstream. Talented but it's like Grammy picked the one they knew best and I totally disagree with Cage the Elephant even being in that category. Not heavy enough.

If anything its nice that the nomination helped spread your music to people who otherwise might never have heard of you, but unfortunately grammy awards aren't usually given based on merit. Who needs it? Music, to me, is a part of life, not a once a year event. Your music to me is one of the most cathartic experiences I've ever had; I cant help but feel a sense of immense joy that surpasses the anger, frustration, and depression. I saw you in LA a few months ago, and I still think of that concert. Can't wait to catch you guys again.
