I just dyed my whole head purple by myself last Sunday. Ot was my 2nd time coloring myself and 1st time doing full head by myself. I have prelightened ends for a bayalage I did back in March and my natural hair is a darks ash blonde. Keeping you in mind, I had 4 quadrants in my hair and took fune sections to make sure everything was saturated. Took about and hour and a half total for application, but it came out great. The bottom that was pre lightened is a bright purple and the rest is a darker purple, some bits of my natural hair held the color better than others, but it actually looks like different tones of highlights and worked to my advantage. Your videos gave me the confidence to do this myself, so I want to say thank you. Also, for anyone who does end up with color all over their bathroom (because my white sink was definitely compromised) Clorox Bleach & Cleaner spray (all in one bottle) works wonders. You'd never know I did anything, let alone bright purple lol.
I really liked the explaination of the C-shape motion at 7:02. I've known about that and when I cut my partner I've tried many times to do it, but I haven't really got the hang of it (so I blend with different clipper guards). Never thought about the arm like that, I will try that motion the next time that's for sure. Really enjoy explanation on how to do things, I really appreciate it. :D
I've been watching you for a few years now & you have talked once before on how to use the clippers & I watched very closely & tried it on my hubby the last time he asked for a trim. It worked so well! Thank you so much for this tip, it was the best I've ever done. I just love all I've learned from watching your channel. We can't afford the salon, so we always do our own hair. I only tend to color mine once every few years long after the last damage is gone myself, but I've always been a little more patient with the fine dark ash blonde I was given. & at least I'm getting a few silver hairs starting to show up like I always hoped for when I was young... TeeHee... Although it's about time to go purple again & be the cool "colorful" aunt for a while again. Middle age is fun if you let it be.. MwaHaHaHa
I agree, sometimes I get such a chuckle and learn things. Mainly I learn that when ever I get the urge to trim my bangs-go to my hairdresser. I would love to be Hair Buddha’s student.
Poor Hair Buddah... you try to tell them... "sections," but do they listen? No. You beg, "Start with platinum," or "put vaseline around your hairline."" I feel your *sigh." The song goes, "They did not listen they're not listening still, perhaps they never will." #DonMcClean ❤😂❤
Sorry, sorry night. Paint your hairstyle blue and grey. Look out on a summer's day. Ah fuck, the yellow's shining through. Like colours changing hue. Mourning streaks of amber green. Resigned faces lined in pain, are soothed beneath Hair Buddha's loving hand.
The 1st girl had the best silver I've seen . Usually it looks more green than grey/silver. That being said hair buddha is right, she needed a lot more product to get the best coverage.
Took me a year of doing my husband’s hair every two months to get down tapering. I think it’s much harder doing short hair cuts. After four years (almost five years, I started at the beginning of the pandemic) I’ve got tapering down to an art but I take my hat off the stylists it was way more of a pain than I thought.
Way back in the 70's and 60's Clairol and Wella had two "additives" to use as a drabber not to be used alone. We would add a few capfuls to tone down brassy tones. Clairol used names more than #'s, Also, Clairol had "Silver Drops" just a few drops had amazing drabbing results.
Thanks for the actual arm movements behind the technique I need to master to get the C for blending sides! I mean, Dad prefers to just buzz it, but you never know when that skill could come in handy.
I have been using direct pigments every few weeks for half my life. I work cleanly so that I don't leave any stains on my skin or the surrounding area. If a little bit of it colors my skin, it can be gently rubbed off with a damp towel or microfiber cloth without any problem. And if it has left a stain on the floor or sink, it can be removed extremely easily with nail polish remover containing acetone. Really no problem. However, I also recommend that you always use direct pigments on damp hair and that you should also mix the pigments with a little hair treatment, because then it becomes oily and is much easier to apply to the hair. I bleach my hair and use the direct pigments with the treatment and after two hours I wash my hair lukewarm and only the treatment washes out and none of the pigments. The water is almost clear because bleached hair absorbs the pigments really good. The pigments won't wash out as quickly if you just rinse your hair well with warm water. If you use shampoo every time you wash your hair, the color will come out quickly. It has nothing to do with the temperature of the water but with the shampoo. You can also only wash your hair with shampoo every other wash and the pigments will last at least twice as long. I rarely wash my hair with shampoo anymore. Just a nice scalp massage under warm water cleans the hair perfectly. 🙂
I cut my hair with clippers. I followed the instructions I found on TH-cam and that guy explained it very well, about sections and how to blend. I have to say I prefer very short hair, because I don't like it when the curls tickle my ears.
I'm using semi permanent hair dye for more than 10 years now. And specifically Manic Panic for almost 10 years. First I used it on bleached hair, but I had enough of the damage so I let it grow out. But I'm still using Manic Panic colours. You can use it on natural brown hair. You just need to know how 😁 I have gorgeous dark green at the moment.😊
Long time ago I saw a girl put color in her hair, not box, like a bleach wash. She emptied 3 applications in a bowl with volume and mixed together. Then she dunked her head in and “washed “ her hair. It worked but it was really a mess 😂
There will be more purple on the walls and on the floor, than in your hair...😂😂 Hair Buddha i love your sense of humour! You always leave me laughing, thank you 😂😂
I needed to touch up the color in my hair before Christmas. Keeping in HB in mind, I did it on Sunday giving me a few days to fix if needed also it was a day that I didn't have work or any other plans, so I had the time to get every strand. Took an hour and a half for application alone, hut worth it.
We used the Manic Panic before on my daughter’s hair, and it was bleached (not well as I didn’t have any knowledge before). We had done different shades of blue and it look great. Then she wanted purple…nope, it didn’t last. Then we tried red, no problem. But the purple never took for some reasons.
I have had spots all over the house when my girls were teenagers. 😅 They have all faded. But I have come home to totally blue shower walls and grout. I took over dyeing their hair. And after about six years of crazy colours I’ve gotten pretty good. 👍
Some things I’ve learned from HB 1. Don’t. And if you do, use blondme 2. Wait till AFTER you’ve messed up your hair to find a toner 3. You waste more time and $ trying to do it at home. That being said, tomorrow morning I will gladly be paying my stylist a crap ton of $ to sit with her 4+ hours to do it right the first time 😂
Not so long ago I had a hairdresser put bleach on my hair with his hands. He started off using a brush but then just started plastering it on. At the end my hair was horrific and I cried. The manager of the salon tried his best the next day to sort it out but it ended up all patchy. 😩😩
I remember the first time i colored my hair a deep vampire red. I dont know why I didn't expect it to look so red in the water but when i looked down, i almost had a heart attack because the water was so dark red, i thought i was hemorrhaging in the shower! I almost screamed! 😂😂 Its the color of my pfp but my hair is back to blonde now.
These videos give me anxiety, lol. I need to A: bleach bath my hair B: lighten my regrowth a couple shades C: redo color to dark Ash Blonde which is a few shades lighter than my natural color.. like 2 But..... I keep putting it off because of these videos. 😂 I've done it many times with no issues but watching these videos has knocked my confidence and I can't bring myself to do it. 😬
Watching at 2 am ,maybe I should stop watching hair related video because my hair is too short now 😅 because I’m too eager and impatient to grow out my coloured and rebonded hair and I miss my curls and to have a fully virgin so that I can bleach it 😅😅 maybe next December I can bleach if I stopped watching this type of video but im too hooked right now😅
03:17 No one should be bleaching or colouring their hair if there’s time constraints. To do the job properly you need to take the time to do it properly. From what I’ve learnt watching this channel, sectioning is very time consuming if you’re an amateur or aren’t a professional. Also rinsing can take quite a while to do. Why these people think they can do it in under one hour boggles my brain. They’re either delusional or Really just don’t care about the results ( Just as long as they get the views one way or another)… I’m all thumbs when it comes to hair colouring. So I’d always go to a professional stylist/hairdresser to do it… 💇♀️…… ⚛️☮️🌏
I was going to give myself highlights. I decided to save up some money and go to a professional. He did dimensional color, and the top of my head looked like a canary rolled around in a bag of Doritos. The stylist knew exactly what to do and it came out beautifully. Whenever possible, go to the salon😊
Do you have any suggestions to help me grow out my 360 undercut bob, please? I have light brown hair with blonde highlights now. I have been covering my grey hairs with light brown box dye. I have more on the sides underneath and around my face. I've had an undercut bob for about a year, but the sides grow in salt and pepper grey. So I feel like I have to dye it or it loks patchy. I would like grey hair or light blonde hair and plan to grow my grey hair out. That's why I got blonde highlights. I had to use decolour twice to get most of the brown box dye out, before I got my highlights done. Still, my highlights came out more golden blonde than I like. But my hairdresser did tell me that it would take time. I keep getting my undercut redone as it starts to stick out and annoy me a lot, and the grey shows up. I was thinking about growing out the sides and keeping the back undercut. My hairdresser doesn't have any solutions. I don't mind the undercuts so much, but I find it looks ugly when I tie my hair up. Its like a bowl. I like the more creative undercut designs, but I think that maybe a barber would have more creative ideas about this? What do you think? I know it's a lot 😅 Happy holidays!
I know the purple girl didn't want to damage her hair but if she had used a violet brown colour a permanent dye with a low developer to open to hair and get the pigment inside instead of on the surface she could have easily achieved the colour she wanted im so sad she went through all that work for nothing i think the colour she wanted would have been quite beautiful on her too 😢
My cousin is a hairdresser, I love her- but she always messes up my hair. The last time I went to her, I wanted a trim, my hair was below my shoulders, I left with it shorter than my chin....I was devastated.
The first girl would be better off getting a good hair cut, she has a weird chop in the front, bad layers and really dry hair, a good professional hair cut would be more interesting. The second man held up a red brush and said this is my favourite comb, so I thought this will not go well!
i have multiple neurological conditions so find the c technique way too hard so just have to really take my time. i used to be a dog groomer so worked with clippers for a living so I am good at cutting my hair, people have said I should be a hairdresser
Applicator bottles bold and brush are elementary items. It's so frustrating they aren't deductive enough to know that they have to have a way to apply this
I don't get why they use their hands? I started dying my gray hair once or twice per year ( when I'm bored) but the first thing I did when I made up my mind was to buy a dye brush and some clips. They weren't that expensive and I knew it would make everything easier for me. I don't know maybe it's because as a child I spent hours, years in my neighbor's salon and I watched many times how she did it?
I feel better about the ones that just do manic panic on unbleached hair bc it doesn't matter like she just messed up some tile "there's no going back now" Well good news princess you only went to your backyard
First woman did an okay job. Not great, not terrible. Second guy looked okay at certain points, but seemed hampered by both a lack of firm idea of whst he wanted and little idea of how to get it.
Hair Buddha needs a teddy bear to hug when he watch these kind of videos.❤🧸
🤣
Yes! Multiple stress balls could help, too.
Or a pillow to scream into 😂
George Carlin wasn't lying when he talked about the stupidity of the average person.
Love George Carlin❤❤❤❤
One of the only celebrities I cried for when they died. Carlin and Mr. Rogers.
😂😂😂😂 I was a huge fan. And he’d totally laugh at that ❤
Social media exploded it exponentially 🙀
A truer statement has never been said before!
What a childish application 😂😮. Have a relaxing weekend everyone 💜
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I hope you have a fantastic weekend too!

I’m glad you found the C-shape motion explanation helpful! It's all about practice, so keep at it, and you’ll get the hang of it in no time!
Nobody got hurt by 40 vol developer in the making of this film 😂🤣 Jokes aside thanks Buddha 😊
🤣
2:54 She really poored it directly on her head 👀😭😭😭 I’m dying 🤣 such an epic fail !
I want the sheer confidence and hope these people have.

I love these videos so much. It's fun to learn about this stuff.
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! There's always something new to learn in the world of hairdressing!
I agree, sometimes I get such a chuckle and learn things. Mainly I learn that when ever I get the urge to trim my bangs-go to my hairdresser. I would love to be Hair Buddha’s student.
Reactions from HB are the best thing to see😂❤
Those hair fails are like a rollercoaster ride-full of ups, downs, and a few 'what were they thinking?!' moments! 🎢😂
I felt that first one. Ugh! Turned out better than I thought it would. Just lucky.
I work 3rd shift so it's nice to watch HB as I'm winding down before sleep. Love his facial expressions and the commentary. 💙

3 videos in one? Probably Hair Buddha get resistant to hair fails😂
Poor Hair Buddha....he needs some anxiety medication. Lol
I watch for the hair fails. I return for HB reactions! ❤

Hey HB 👋🏾 It gets better & better with these.
Happy New Year to you & your family.
That Manic Panic disaster brings back so many memories 😂

I wonder if these people know why qualified hairdressers/ barbers exist? 🤦🏽♀️
Your reactions are brilliant 🤩 Thanks for sharing Hair Buddha 😊👍✂️
When you made the throw up face 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you Mr. Buddha for all your wisdom ❤! Love the shirt❤! Wishing you and your family the greatest year ever ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! Wishing you and your family an amazing year too!
Oooh. Thank you for the lock elbow/pivot C shape tip. I will use that going forward
I'm glad you found the lock elbow/pivot C shape tip helpful! Can't wait to see how it works for you!
In a time crunch so let’s do our hair 🤦♀️Let’s hear it for Hair Buddah we feel your pain ❤️
3:49. Ahh man. Sounds like a disappointed dad 😂😂😂
🤣

AI toner 😂 maybe Hair Buddha is onto something. Always a delight to see new content ❤️
All you need to do for silver grey hair is wait until you get into your 40s and hey presto it happenes without doing anything 😅😂😅
You might be onto something there! Sometimes, nature has its own way of giving us those fabulous silver locks.
The growing out phase is om-grey or balay-aging.
I’m 52. I used to be blonde. I’m now dark brown. I wish I had more grey- it’s so dark now! 😂
I'm using semi permanent hair dye for more than 10 years now. And specifically Manic Panic for almost 10 years. First I used it on bleached hair, but I had enough of the damage so I let it grow out. "It's not the floor!" Bwahahaha!!! I'm dying over here, ha ha ha!!
Long time ago I saw a girl put color in her hair, not box, like a bleach wash. She emptied 3 applications in a bowl with volume and mixed together. Then she dunked her head in and “washed “ her hair. It worked but it was really a mess 😂
it can work, ive dyed my hair like that . however, you need alot of product and to sorta massage it in to make sure its everywhere
There will be more purple on the walls and on the floor, than in your hair...😂😂 Hair Buddha i love your sense of humour! You always leave me laughing, thank you 😂😂
I have Buzz cut my hair. Brought a fabulous collection of wigs. No more hair drama lama.
Wigs are a fantastic way to switch up your look without the commitment! Love that you're embracing it!
😑 Not even 4 minutes in and I had to pause. This really does hurt.
I totally get it! Some of these hair fails are definitely hard to watch. Thanks for tuning in!
@ Absolutely! I may have to pause, but always want to watch. 😂
😂 Yup!
Why would you dye your hair if you don’t have time? Oh Hair Buddha they never learn! Have a great weekend everyone 😊
It’s true! Timing is everything, especially when it comes to hair. Hope you have a fantastic weekend too!

@ Very smart!
Love the info on cutting a fade for guys. ❤
I'm still amazed that we have the information in our hands and yet we have these failures 😂😂. Bless their 💕
It’s incredible how much information is available, yet some people still take those wild risks! Hair can be so unpredictable!
Another great reaction video👍
I use black towels on the entire bathroom floor 😂 and wipe any smudges on the walls or anything off immediately
We used the Manic Panic before on my daughter’s hair, and it was bleached (not well as I didn’t have any knowledge before). We had done different shades of blue and it look great. Then she wanted purple…nope, it didn’t last. Then we tried red, no problem. But the purple never took for some reasons.

Oh my goodness that's all I can say 😂😂 awesome fails 😂😂
Awesome fails indeed! It's like a hair-raising rollercoaster ride-just without the safety bar! 😄
Gosh, the purple one… That’s definitely the worst. 🙈
Cant believe she just tipped it on.😂 didn't even try to comb ot through 🙈
I'm confused by the color trend. For years dying your hair was basically trying not to be gray 😂😂
Hair buddha hello from Atlanta Tx 050 Wella is a color additive she had to add it to a color so glad to finally get to comment 😊
3:00 😂😂😂😂❤
One thing my family never skimped on was hair care!
TAKE SECTIONS !!!!!😮😢😂
Laundry bleach removes manic panic from surfaces 😊
I will try thanks
Worst application ever 😮
Oof, I hear you! Some of those hair fails were pretty rough, huh? Thanks for watching!
"Red comb"?! He can't tell the difference between a comb & a brush. 🚩 😂
Not so long ago I had a hairdresser put bleach on my hair with his hands. He started off using a brush but then just started plastering it on. At the end my hair was horrific and I cried. The manager of the salon tried his best the next day to sort it out but it ended up all patchy. 😩😩
What !!! That sounds like quite the hair adventure!
@ to quote you, it was special!! 🙈
Dude, FYI, that's not a comb that's a brush
These videos give me anxiety, lol. I need to
A: bleach bath my hair
B: lighten my regrowth a couple shades
C: redo color to dark Ash Blonde which is a few shades lighter than my natural color.. like 2
But..... I keep putting it off because of these videos. 😂 I've done it many times with no issues but watching these videos has knocked my confidence and I can't bring myself to do it. 😬
I love manic panic but I find darker colours especially can stain if you don't 100% make sure the water is clear when you rinse.

Mens cuts are such a whole different animal.
You made me giggle out loud with your comments 😅

The amount of many dude paid for the clippers and the scissors you could have just went and got your haircut
Hair Buddha you need a bigger following, you are hilarious! Way funnier than Brad Mondo (Sorry Brad lol).

The c shape way to cut hair seems useful to me, I cut my sons hair and have not got the hang of it.
Lovin the shirt H.B
thx
I have been yelling at my phone this whole video.
It’s definitely a rollercoaster of emotions watching those hair fails! Thanks for joining in on the fun!
Brutal,😧😂
😅it hurts, it actually hurts😅
My husband has a receding hairline we call it his GOLDEN M! 😂
The first girl would be better off getting a good hair cut, she has a weird chop in the front, bad layers and really dry hair, a good professional hair cut would be more interesting. The second man held up a red brush and said this is my favourite comb, so I thought this will not go well!
Why don't people not cut or shave their hair wet? The reason the clippers don't grab the hair but push it instead, is because the hair is dry.
i have multiple neurological conditions so find the c technique way too hard so just have to really take my time. i used to be a dog groomer so worked with clippers for a living so I am good at cutting my hair, people have said I should be a hairdresser
wella 050 added into t18 works so well if your goal is super silver or a great base for lavender!
not ai toner lmfaooo
😂😂 the worst recorded bleaching
I'm so sorry, I had to record this at 6:50 and send to my girl friends 🤣😂
I'm only 3:59 in, but one day, I want a warning that there is swearing involved and see which video finally cracks him lol
The haircut guy was cute and it wasn't THAT bad. He just needed to use a little finesse. That is fixable.
