Very good, also a good tip is fill the gap between the sump guard and engine with polystyrene sound proffing sheet so the mud dosent get in this gap and you end up caring 5 pounds of mud around all day as this type of sheeting is water proof and is a light as a feather 👍
That's why today's talent is miles ahead. Back in day trial and error took time sometimes years. With social media the youngsters are learning correct things instantly. This is why talent is improving so fast. Salute to older generations who never gave up. Tried, tried till they were successfull. This is true in every field. That generation us resilient and strong. mrdt4now it’s actually quite simple, you just wrap a small piece of lock wire around the open ends of the clips and twist tight. It prevents the clip from being pushed off by a branch/rock
Just a terrific channel and great content. Congrats on your success to date. Can you elaborate a little more on the switch to a 9mm Clutch Master. I am looking for a much lighter pull but nowhere can I find anything that would indicate how much additional travel is expected at the lever versus the amount of reduction in lever pull. I'll take a much lighter longer travel over a harder shorter one. What has your experience been with this change from the 10mm to the 9mm? Thanks
Thanks for the kind comment David. The 9mm clutch pull is noticeably lighter than the 10mm. The clutch pull distance/travel also noticeably increases, I am guessing maybe 5mm more (never measured it). For some that is a good thing because initially, they don't have the finesse to work in small 0.5mm-1mm increments when doing back wheel work like slow wheelies/pivot turns so the increased distance helps as for the same distance/travel the effect is slightly less (hope that makes sense). One thing to be aware of is sometimes if it's not bled absolutely perfectly the 9mm can cause a tiny bit of clutch drag. But for the most part despite the issues mentioned most people like the 9mm when they try it. That said, my son didn't like it and wanted to go back to 10mm straight away but he is very fussy with bike feel.

Enduro Trails I use a bit of bungee cord which I wrap around the master cylinder. I tie mine underneath with lockwire but you can make a knot in it. Then I take a cable tie and a bit of fuel tubing to make the pull tab. Stick the cable tie through the fuel tubing, wrap it around the bungee and back through the fuel tubing again and then tie it off.
Are you going out for winter trail rides? I have a termostat bypass kit from Tusk, but I worry a bit that it would not do good to engine when riding trails around 0 degrees Celsius
Yes, we ride in all weather here in the UK, never had a problem with cold seizures but the coldest has been -1deg C or 0deg C. You just have to take a bit more care to warm the bike up when it's really cold.
Would you say it’s better to go with a fat bar rather than taking the crossbar off? (For a 2021 300). And if so - what bar would you recommend? For enduro / hard enduro etc.
We only use 999 Renthal so can’t really advise which Fatbar is better. If there is a Fatbar with the same specs as a 999 then that would be the one! I would actually prefer a Fatbar so I have more flexibility to fit the levers
honestly no, I cannot feel a difference but my mechanic tells me the internal bushings are wearing less and these clamps hold the forks better so they don’t twist every time you have a small crash. :)

Go to a KTM Parts Fiche website and have a look at which clutch master you have on your bike. Do you have a 10mm or a 9mm? The part number for the 9mm is 79202030044
4m 54s Going to a bigger brake master cylinder decreases hydraulic advantage and makes the brake LESS grabby also shortens the stroke which reduces reaction time.
Thanks for the correction, makes sense, explains why the 9mm clutch master lightens the clutch. I’ve used a 10mm brake master 3-4yrs ago, lever travel were shortened and I am sure I remember the brake feeling more grabby but have to admit, it’s been a while. It definitely had better modulation/feel which would make sense.
Off the showroom floor, for the last 2 years at least, KTM front brakes have been incredibly grabby and require a fairy finger on the lever or else you wash. Thats just wrong. Both the clutch and brake masters are the wrong size.
Personally I always liked the touchier front brake option. The 26mm piston caliper feels better while riding than the 24mm piston stocker. Less effort at the level, and more usable range. Just tough to get much "feel" since the pull is so light. And they always feel spongy on the stand lol
Check out my Integrated system. Rear brake pedal removed. Rekluse clutch without lever. 17mm radial MC on the left bar with both front and rear lines going to it, no proportioning valve. Rear caliper is larger 30mm piston. Both brakes actual simultaneously with 1 finger all day perfect proportioning, never stall or lock. Hill hold on steep rocks. Peter Andrews yes, thermostat removed. There is a massive flow restriction inside the T-piece. Removing it will improve cooling performance. I need it confirmed but I believe they are there for Euro compliance. Some believe they prevent cold seizing. All I can say is every serious rider I know of in hard enduro runs the bypass hoses with a fan. My son and I have raced expert/pro races for a number of years in all conditions and never experienced a problem running without it

erez1984 I run 999 Renthals in position 3. I am 1.82cm/6ft and I like to ride pretty aggressively over the front of the bike. Also run Fastway Evo 4’s in low boy position. Seems to work great for me.

The Pantoffel I have a knobby knife, used it a few times and now it just sits there. I just run the tyres till they are done and change them. I suppose if you are using a used tyre and need a new edge (wet grass, etc.) then sharpening the edges will definitely help

Great idea with the forks. I’m new to riding dirt bikes and after only a hand full of rides I’ve noticed how keen they are to dive and how they feel like the bikes going to wash out. What do you do to the closed cartridge forks to make them more suited to enduro riding and where can I get the newer lugs to fit the newer, smaller front spindle. Great video👍🏼👍🏼
ginge_92 we soften the valving from MX settings. The feet you can order from a dealer with access to WP parts. Or speak to a good suspension tuner near you.
Technical Enduro Skills Training North Lincolnshire bud, my exc has what I think is the ktech bladder on the back which I’m happy with but the forks are very unnerving for me especially being so new to everything, feel like I’m bouncing off things and struggling to hold a line or go where I want the bike to go. Doesn’t help I’m 10 stone wet through either! Think getting a set of the older (but from what I seem to hear everywhere, nicer) closed cartridge forks with the new lugs on the bottom like you’ve done would be a really great idea
ginge_92 we all use them. A good set on ebay is about £300-£350, new feet £150. A full service £150. Then you’ve pretty much got new factory forks. Look up Julian Stevens on Facebook. He can help you out with tuning

Its not a regulation in any of the big extreme enduro’s (because you usually run GPS on the bar) and its not regulation in the UK as far as I have ever come across. Have done MANY races in the UK and not ever told to run a bar pad since 2012

My Sherco 300i only has 1 cable, i put a bit of silicone in the end of my gear shifter to stop mud etc clogging it up ;)

How did the evo4 foot peg break? I wondering if it's a simple redesign to maximize the radius at which the peg touches the frame at full low position.

Great idea with the forks. I’m new to riding dirt bikes and after only a hand full of rides I’ve noticed how keen they are to dive and how they feel like the bikes going to wash out. What do you do to the closed cartridge forks to make them more suited to enduro riding and where can I get the newer lugs to fit the newer, smaller front spindle. Great video👍🏼👍🏼
ginge_92 we soften the valving from MX settings. The feet you can order from a dealer with access to WP parts. Or speak to a good suspension tuner near you.
Technical Enduro Skills Training by Revalving is that removing/adding the shims within the valve, would I need to get new valves?
ginge_92 its the shim stack inside the fork tnat needs changing. Best get a suspension tuner to do it as its a bit of a science. Where are you based?
Technical Enduro Skills Training North Lincolnshire bud, my exc has what I think is the ktech bladder on the back which I’m happy with but the forks are very unnerving for me especially being so new to everything, feel like I’m bouncing off things and struggling to hold a line or go where I want the bike to go. Doesn’t help I’m 10 stone wet through either! Think getting a set of the older (but from what I seem to hear everywhere, nicer) closed cartridge forks with the new lugs on the bottom like you’ve done would be a really great idea
ginge_92 we all use them. A good set on ebay is about £300-£350, new feet £150. A full service £150. Then you’ve pretty much got new factory forks. Look up Julian Stevens on Facebook. He can help you out with tuning

It is not good not to have a bar pad. the race regulation don't allow to race if you dont have.
AEXRT65 which sport (mx/enduro/extreme) and which country? Its not a regulation in any of the big extreme enduro’s (because you usually run GPS on the bar) and its not regulation in the UK as far as I have ever come across. Have done MANY races in the UK and not ever told to run a bar pad since 2012
@@enduroskillstraining in my country Greece the Enduro and Motocross race regulation don't allow you to race if you dont have bar pad. Sorry i don't know the Enduro regulation of the UK. I admire the British country because is leader in Enduro worldwide.
