I'm an old head that grew up in the LA punk and hardcore scene, and it warms my heart to see a new generation do their own thing. The crowd is pumped, looking to have a good time, and taking care of each other. Going to have to check out Turnstile.
Man I'm with ya. I'm 44. From '97 to 2006 I was at damn near every hardcore show in STL. Earth Crisis, Indecision, Snapcase, Buried Alive, etc. Now those lil iconic venues have been shut/torn down for 10-15yrs.
As a 46 yr old Gen X'er . It makes me smile to see that crowds like this still exist ! Instead of a bunch of people staring through their fucking stupid iPhone!
Los Angeles been like this honestly. The local scene around LA, OC, IE, and the almighty Oxnard have had really good punk, hardcore, indie, and metal bands coming out within the last about 5 - 10 ish years. I also film on my phone, so some of us on our phones ain't all bad 😉
Its so refreshing to hear decent, original non macho hardcore music. The scene has been in decline for years with endless metal core bands all sounding more like slayer than minor threat. Faith in hardcore as a innovative genre restored!! great work.

This is great to see. I started liking/watching these “kids” in like 2012-13. The growth. The polish. Love it. But still the commitment. Always. Anyone who was into a whole variety of music in the 80s-90s can be proud of this band in my humble opinion.

@@ChuckieDrumz Hardcore is literally short for Hardcore Punk, not Heavy Metal. Those are 2 complete different genres. And Punk isn't a subset of Metal. Garage Punk started in 1964 with Nuggets and Los Saicos. Heavy Metal started in 1968 the with Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. I agree about the safe environment within Hardcore though. Even within the pit, we always have someone there we know will pick us up or even have the band stop, no matter how violent the band/crowd is. But Metal, there's a bunch of assholes that say fuck you and that you should've never been in the pit, though every now and then you have good people at Metal shows.

Hearing them shout about helping your brothers and sisters in the pit got my in my feels about the metal/punk/rock gig scene. This is the way to have fun and feel protected by the band you're there to see
As someone who was around when DRI, Suicidal and Cromags first came to the U.K. in the eighties, the energy here is a beautiful sight. I love that Turnstile don’t sound like anyone else… can’t wait to see them, but sadly I may be a bit too old and fragile for the front few rows these days. Fifty year old bones break easily. 🙂
I just saw them at the Paleo in Nyon. Yates ended up singing in the crowd, and even though I planned on keeping my old 45 year old ass safe, I ended up moshing with the youngsters like it was 1999. There was simply no other way, the energy was too great and I felt alive as eeever!!!
I love how the band has like a combined 10 feet of space to work with.. yet, they still make it work with constant people running around them. Its amazing.
Around 19:30, I think Brendan actually chokes Daniel's crash cymbal. As if he knew exactly when that crash was going to come. The cymbal choke sounds fits in perfectly with the song. I've seen a ton of rock shows either live on on the internet, but I've never seen this. It really blew my mind. Freshest band out there right now.

What a show for my ears and eyes! Reminds me when I used to get smashed in some insane mosh-pit under the stage of bands like Killing Joke, Unsane, Helmet, Deftones and the like. It's good to see young people who still have fun stage-diving and crowd-surfing. And the band let them come up the stage and keep playing like hell. Kudos!

Great to see the new generation of Hardcore thriving. Remember seeing Bad Brains, Fugazi and countless other bands late 80's to 90's, gigs were equally energetic but not much was filmed back then. Bad Brains CBGB's 1982 is prob the best example of back then you can watch on TH-cam.

All the shows are sold out well in advance , tried earlier this year for Leeds. The young kids are on it and fair play.
