    Awesome to see what's inside. Some still shots of components would be nice to see.
    I bought 2 for my motorhome. I replaced my charger converter to a lithium model to fully charge the batteries. I then spent the night in my motorhome to see how the batteries would do. The batteries powered the furnace fan all night long. Then I ran electric space heater off the batteries until they were low but not dead. These batteries lasted much longer than the lead acid batteries would of lasted. I'm impressed with the power so far. Bluetooth works. The app works but is a little slow, and requires a refresh at times. Otherwise works well. I would purchase these batteries again, especially if they increase the amp hour capacity.

    I gotta pull 2 12v 200AH batteries apart to reconfigure them to 48v with a new BMS, assuming each battery pack is paralleled internally. I was using them in a 24v config but one didn't fully charge and cut off while the other had 40% left.
    I think i might use a oscilating cutter tool though.

    Really doesn't matter what kind of insulation use on The Wire if it was wrapped with pure virgin Angel hairs it wouldn't increase the amp capacity of the copper wire. The silicone insulation would be good in case of short circuit fires. The more insulation the more heat the wire retains leading to lower amp capacity. I question that 8 gauge wire on a 100 amp capacity test. You should show us with the battery taking apart discharge and charging and see how hot the wires get

      I completely agree that the insulation isn't an alternative to properly sized wire, but in this case 8 gauge wire is enough for a 12 volt 200 amp draw. The main thing to consider is the wire is only inches long, if this were 10 feet you'd want 0 gauge wire.

    What national or international organization(s) rate #8 wire as you have listed. Don't believe NFPA rates it at 200 or more amps. Does NEMA or a similar recognized organization approve of those ratings? I can't tell the origin of the charts you showed. Also question the BMS being directly fastened to the cells. I know some manufactures do this but most of the better companies provide some thermal insulation between the BMS and the cells to minimize cell deterioration from heat.
    Enjoyed the video otherwise. Thanks.

      you can use 4 units of that kind of battery on this video.
      just don't forget to set up the proper BMS for battery safety and healthy.
      in this video, it's 100 Ah battery set, 12 Volts.
      you need that 4 units battery, so you will have power of 48 Volts and 100 Ah if you connected in series (not paralel).
      the more Ah of battery you set, will give you more range (mileage) of your electric motor.
      the more Volts of the battery, will produce more power of your electric motor.
      the choice is your... wanna get more power or more range... or... both...

    , I am going to replace Acid Aux battery for my motorhome for12V 100Ah Lifepo4 Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Built-in BMS . I have question for you, can I use motor alternator to charge battery during the ride ? Is the BMS will be automatically off charging when battery is full

    • @reBelBatteries
      @reBelBatteries  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you can certainly do that. However, the battery will suck up 100% available power from the alternator (100 amps) if it can supply that much. For most alternators, that means you'll run it very hot and probably kill it within a short period. I've seen some good videos of charging from the alternator through a DC-DC converter, that converter can regulate how many amps are being pulled off the alternator so as not to kill it. Search for "charging LiFePO4 with alternator" and you'll find some good info. Tito has a good one I watched last week. (th-cam.com/video/TDxfRXgQT04/w-d-xo.html)

    • @reBelBatteries
      @reBelBatteries  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, and yes, once the battery hits it's High-Voltage Cut-off, the BMS will stop pulling power from the alternator or converter (if you go that route(recommended)).

      The old advice for lead-acid was don't mix due to changes in charge efficiency over time. However, LiFePO4 batteries don't suffer those changes and can be mixed if the BMS's are designed for whichever way you plan to use (parallel/series).
      Our batteries (100/200/300) can handle either of these configurations. Not sure about the Lion batteries, I would think they can, but definitely check up on it for your model number.

      I wonder why drop in batteries often have no compression. Do those manufacturers simply not care about reduced battery life?
      Being confused about that, I decided for myself to go for a battery with cylindrical cells. Cylindrical cells do not need compression by their geometrical design.
