- The Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi held celebrations in October 1971 to mark the 2,500th anniversary of the Persian Empire. A gala dinner was attended by sixty members of royal families and heads of states from around the world. The following day there was a parade of armies in period costume. CTV’s W5 was there.
