*One of the biggest traitors in human history. Sold out his country to the West.* *Allowed Britain's British Petroleum company to continue siphoning his country with disproportionate oil deals and helping to silence opposition - including end his country's first ever Democratic journey.* *Few traitors did worse than this guy.*
Perhaps Boris Yeltsin could give him a run for his money. He was a drunken buffoon content with indulging himself with vodka and receiving payoffs while Russia was looted by Western interests during the 1990s. Life expectancy rates plummeted as did income as a new form kleptocracy developed alongside the creation of the so-called oligarchs. Then came Putin who is villified and demonized because he is a nationalist who looks after Russian interests.
@@adeyinkamakinde6164 I understand your point, but I beg to differ. To begin, let me thank you for your videos. Even though the Shah was seen as a puppet of the West, the minority Sunni population was protected. Iranian economy flourished and radical Islam in the middle east was absent. The Ayatollahs have brought nothing but violence and poverty.
@@Terry-Oppong-RN Thanks for the compliment. I'm no fan of theocracy and the Iranian revolution of Khomeini, although Shia, laid a template for those Sunnis seeking theorcratic governance. But radical (Sunni) Islam already began to grow irresistably after the defeat of the secular, Pan-Arabist-led Egypt in the Six Day War. The West's use of Islamists/Radical Sunnis to undermine secular Arab govts. has a long history which continues to this day (Eisenhower, Reagan to Bush Jr, & Obama). To be fair, marginalisation of non-Persia groups including Sunnis has occurred perrenially in Iran and was pronounced during the reign of the last Shah. The West sponsorship of non-Persian, Sunni minority Islamist terror groups does not help. But as far as I know there is no ban on worship by Sunnis or building of Sunni mosques. They are not head-chopping Sunni militants of the sort who have been sponsored by the West and Sunni neighbour such as Saudi Arabia and the Emirate states to wreak havoc in Syria. Problems with the economy are manifold but the unceasing aggression against the Iranians by the West such as enabling Saddam to attack in 1980 as well as the ungoing economic sanctions and sabotage by the US has not helped. The Shah was a despot whose secret police were ruthless and brutal. The economy was also becoming one dominated by oligarchs. Iran would be better without the monarchy and the mullahs!
