    Cus’ taught Mike to punch as hard as he could with every punch. If you notice, Mike rarely jabs. All of his punches are sent to kill. That is some extreme conditioning that most other boxers didn’t and still don’t do.

      True on all counts but one. He used his jab frequently, and with devastating effect. It was just overshadowed by the brutality of his other power shots. But I've watched extensive videos on his approach to using an effective jab. Earlier in his career, he simply threw it much less because his fights didn't go longer than 30 seconds. 🤣🤣🤣

    😀I Almost Have To Really Laugh When I Watch Mike Step In The Ring.
    He Has This Look On His Face Like He's Bored To Death With The Whole Damned Thing;
    And Saying To Himself, As He Looks At His Opponent.,🧐

    Tyson’s right to the body/right uppercut is my favorite combo he threw. The speed and power of those punches are still scary to watch today.

    Mike Tyson had the best combination punches in history..even better than the great Mohammed Ali..also a few boxers before Tysonmania could knock out opponents in about 10 seconds in the first round..but that was in the 50's..

    @2:50 : You can’t see it in the video because the frame rate was to slow, but his head did a complete 360 turn after that punch and the medics had to unwind his head 360 degrees to bring him back to life.

    If you watch Tyson he frequently fights with his knees bent and when he delivers an uppercut in particular he straightens his knees and hits with his full body weight.
    This technique won him many fights.

  • @bonwatcher
    @bonwatcher ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The one that looked like he took a dive was the Mark Young fight. It looked like Tyson mostly missed the uppercut and Young went flying backwards into the ropes and was out. Tyson didn't look as happy afterwards either. Fear can do that I guess. 🤷‍♂

    Before people knew Mike, some of the people in the VIP seats liked to show a bit late, to be seen, to “make an entrance.” There were several early fights where Mike knocked them out before all the VIP’s had taken their seats. They were just the ticket-holders to some very expensive souvenir ring-side seats.
