Great video Mike! If you get a chance to come to the Club's Christmas display coming up in December, the large module HO layout is a fun one! We always like to build some crazy long trains on that one! Not sure if I'll make it this year though, currently working as a borrow out driver in Sioux City, Iowa hauling Union Pacific crews for the time being, but we'll see!

Mike, Making the coal spur S instead of N isn’t that big of a deal. Making it a nice spur gives another operator a place to be by themselves as they “unload” the train, then work their way back to the switch for the spur. Thanks for the update & can’t wait to come visit!
Thank you, Devin! I hope you’re hanging in there! I agree with you…I think the plan will end up being just fine. I was excited about recreating the prototype track plan as closely as possible, but I’ll just have to bend reality here. The Katy just wasn’t thinking of me building a layout in the future when it constructed the dang railroad! Haha. It should be a cool spot to switch. Other than the coal trains, there was also outbound ash in shorty hoppers, and occasional inbound power plant equipment. The utility company also had some old switch engines they ran out there. I’ll also bend history with that- and use my Walthers SW1200s instead!

…plus it gives me an excuse to run some BN and other run-through power on the coal trains! Ha.
They will be closed on 25 of December on Christmas day!
