    THE SUBSTRATE
    Prepping the surface of the countertops is easy. Most surfaces just need to be sanded (80-100 Grit) then wiped clean. Granite and Marble will need the sealer removed. Tile will need the grout lines filled with Bondo and sanded smooth before applying our Countertop Kits.

    EPOXY PRIMER COAT
    Priming the Countertops is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the countertop surface is completely covered. Wait 1 hr. (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat.
    METALLIC EPOXY COAT
    There are so many different applications for our metallic epoxy coat. In this video, we show you the dirty pour technique. When you place your order you'll receive step by step tutorial videos that will show you how to apply this part depending on the look you're going for!
    HIGH WEAR TOP COAT
    We offer 2 different Performance Engineered Top Coats. Glaze Coat is our High Build Top Coat that lays out like glass and adds depth to the Countertop. The Urethane Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or Matte finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and leaves a minor texture on the countertop. You apply it within 24 hrs. of installing your Countertop Kit
    How To Apply WB Urethane Top Coat: • Learn How To Mix & App...
    Leggari Countertop Kits were designed to transform your countertop, tabletop, or desktop into something new and beautiful by coating your existing countertop or pre-built wood countertop. I have a wooden couch table.
    This should be my first every resin project.
    I want to shape something into the table - than put some lights in - cover it with some "light through" resin (maybe gold or …)
    And when dried the rest of the table a light maybe black.
    How do I know how much resin I need?
    How you clean your tools from the resin?
    Any Tipps?
    Love your work here.

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So our epoxy never needs to be hit with a torch! We simply mist the entire surface with denatured alcohol to release trapped air and pop bubbles. Thanks for watching!

    does it act like reguler countertop in terms of cleaning it and meybe putting a hot pan on in? or does it have restrictions and stuff that you can't use ?

    • @evilblackcat6357
      @evilblackcat6357 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stuff is surprisingly scratch resistant and can take about the same temperatures as the surface beneath it. You can clean it with any household cleanser you would normally use on your counter, I would just avoid anything with any abrasives in it, like powder cleansers.

    Do outside countertop edges have to be rounded? if so, do you router them and then paint them before applying resin? Inside corners? Also, you caulk AND tape back splash edge then once set tear tape level with resin? Do backsplash tiles need to be removed?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes The edges need rounded either with a router or a palm sander! You got it right with the tape and caulk, and yes we recommend removing the backsplash. Good questions!

All food factory has SL floors with resin coving in the corner floor to walls it’s easy to clean seamless (but movement joint) need the right stuff and done properly

    Hello. What would happen if you pored a little clear epoxy in the middel of the table right after you pored the black epoxy on? I have a wooden plate i want black, and a glass picture in the middel i want clear epoxy on. Can i poor the black around the glass plate, then poor clear epoxy on top of the glass and let it glide out? Or will the clear one ruin the black when it touches it?

    Question: How do you fix a bump in your epoxy? Finished the pour and there is a pinpoint bump in my countertop. I just poured yesterday and was planning to top coat today with a matte finish. Wondering if I can lightly sand the spot and then do the matte top coat?
    Alternatively, would I need to sand and re-coat the entire counter with epoxy then top coat?
    The spot is so tiny I want the easiest fix.

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! You can spot sand with 220 grit or finer. Just make sure to sand in circle motions if not using a palm sander. Once sanded simply clean and apply your top coat.

    • @evilblackcat6357
      @evilblackcat6357 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When dried they're very durable. if the surface gets crazy scratched up you can always give it a light sanding an pour a whole new countertop lol. *That being said, I do imagine taking a sharp knife to it would mar the surface. Cutting boards are highly recommended.

      @Shannell Johnson If you're that dumb to not follow the directions and consume food directly from a damaged epoxy surface or use a type of epoxy not meant for exposure to food that's your own fault.
      I did look it up and I'm not seeing any reports of people getting sent to the hospital en masse for using this stuff. Personally I've been using it for years and yes, there is a learning curve but it's not so difficult to overcome. I just followed the directions that came with the various types of epoxy I use and follow some of the tips from YT videos such as this.
      Basically; if you're not completely r3t4rd3d you won't poison yourself or others.
