Outstanding! I appreciate your attention to detail. I helped my dear Mother strip and repaint my bookcase headboard and dresser when I was 6, that was 1956. I was hooked. Mother always said it is wise to pay attention to all parts of any piece of furniture - including the underneath and back area. She stressed those areas are necessary for furniture to function and they deserve cleaning and care. When I saw and heard your similar thoughts it was like a hug from my late Mother. In my opinion that speaks volumes about a person - not only related to furniture. Symbolism exists. Nothing superficial here.
Oh wow, that is very nice to hear. That’s great you have those memories to cherish. I lost my mother when I was 18. She definitely installed some good values in you 👌
I really enjoyed watching this transformation. It's so satisfying when the natural wood (veneer or otherwise) can be showcased. Very very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this with us!
I love the fact that you treat the insides, back and " bottoms 😂" as well. So often I see furniture flippers leaving these out. It just adds to the total look and also extends the life of these non visible parts, often avoiding warping or drying out of the material. I am also focused on the details of everything, so I fully appreciate it when I see this in other people…. it’s a longer turnaround time, but that feeling of a job well done, for personal satisfaction, is very rewarding. 😊
I love your work! But, may I make a suggestion? Along with all the closeup views of the finished piece, could you also make sure to always provide one good, lingering long view of the whole piece? I found it frustrating to not be able to see the whole thing, to see how it all came together. Frustrated, because I can tell you did a beautiful job! Thanks!!
Occasionally I think, “Wow should’ve left it on the side of the road!” But you surprise me every time, I love seeing these things saved from the dump. Great job.
Another great makeover. I must say that the extra lengths you go to with the drawer insides and the back and bottom of the piece you’re working on is not wasted on me! I find it a failing by those who don’t do it. All the best from Western Australia 🇦🇺
That turned out beautifully. I love to see these old pieces being brought back to life, for another generation to use. So much of this furniture is just discarded, but with a little thought, and work, they can live again and continue their story. Thanks for sharing your skills, and for giving these 'simple' pieces another chance. Take care 🙂
What a pretty piece of 'trash'! You made it beautiful again, maybe even prettier than when it was new. From seeing the dark stain inside, it was probably very plain. You did a good job!
Side of the road restorations are the best. It was in okay shape when you started, sure, but you made this piece really shine! I love the varying wood tones and the wax brought it to life. Great job!
Sir, you are so creative and talented both with your 'vision' and hands. Your are not restoring those boring pieces of furniture, but you are making them alive and modern. And I love every piece so far. I am sure very soon you will get whatever Silver Button or whatever TH-cam gives those who has 100 thousand subscribers.
A lovely transformation! The 2- tone wood was a great choice. Your staging is also good. You breathed lots of new life into this sad bedside table. Cheers from Oklahoma!
You know Jay, the side table called me up crying & saying how happy it was at a second chance at life! You're a true artist Bud. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!!
Oh this turned out so so lovely, a new life for a little cabinet destined for the landfill, well done I also love the dresser, or cabinet behind it. But in making these video's you are giving people ideas to revamp things they would never have though of and save a small fortune, and a new look to something they made. keep those ideas coming love them all, Have a great weekend, xx Dede xx
I love how careful you are with all the curves, giving love & honor to the wood. The different tones of wood are a nice touch of Art Deco, goes well with the lines of the piece. Elegant, & Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing with us!♥
I love it!! Would've loved the initial "reveal" shot from afar vs solely close-up footage... like the shot of it prior to restoration only a shot after restoration... THEN the close up panning... then side by side and then maybe a parting shot (afar-ish) of it's entirety.
That is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. Once the grime and old finish were removed you get to see the beauty. That veneer just came alive with that no pain stain gel. Beautiful!
You are not afraid of tackling the slow, tedious jobs. I really enjoy the work you put into rescuing a piece of furniture that is inches away from becoming trash. Ha ha, now I know how to get myself a SurfPrep sander.
When you're shooting the final results it would be much appreciated if you backed the camera up about 10 or 12 ft so we could look at the piece against the wall all were close-up shots I never got a real money shot where I could see the whole cabinet
Watching this video was so relaxing. You are a master craftsmen and your work is impeccable. The piece came out beautifully with the different tones of wood. Thanks for sharing your talent.
You turn the ugly , unloved, and unlovable pieces into such lovely items always with an unexpected twist. That piece went from firewood to something many people would be happy to buy.
Are you sure that is the same wee piece that looked like it went through the war? Unbelievable transformation! You could almost hear the wood breathe while you were scraping the old varnish off. Kudos again on a fantastic job!
Wonderful restoration job my friend. One has to admire your attention to detail & to retaining the original form just bringing it back to life & giving it a new purpose. Well done, Don from South Aust.

It’s amazing how you can take a mass manufactured piece and make it look like a quality piece.
Your videos are addicting. I know nothing about wood working but love to watch how things are done. The beauty is mindblowing.😊
Thank you very much!
