I got lucky and found this video. I clamped the connector tighter and boom! The car started. Thank guys! I fixed it and came right back in the house and wrote this comment.
You guys are cool as hell. I was so pissed at my 03 limited that i was about to sell it in pieces. When you brought up the starter it brought me back to my old school so i grabbed a hammer and whacked it while my wife turned the key. Boom thats and old school trick that happened to work on this exact problem.
I wanted to thank you. My 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited would not start. I watched a few other videos and was positive it was an ignition switch issues. But I for the golden rule when working on cars "KISS." Keep It Simple Stupid. So after watching your man check for the signal wire going to the start I thought why not just check. And I found my wire was just hanging there. I plugged it back in and bammmm started right up. Thanks again for the reminder.....
Thank you for the vid. Checked the starter connection and it was tight, then checked battery and discovered a loose ground on a wire that connects to the negative pole connector that connects to the battery. Fixed with a 1/4 twist of the bolt, turned the key and it started up.
On my 2001 jeep wrangler, I found it easier to remove but not disconnect the ignition rack to find the crankshaft position sensor. It was below ignition rack plug and below. Just a FYI.
You two guys were having too much fun. I may have missed it, but how did that little plug come unplugged. Weird! Love the bright green trees in the background in your final comments, Timmy. Guess that's a thing of the past... that pretty green field!!
Same problem , was able to put it in neutral , a few times and it would fire up just fine but now nothing. Have power! , Hear the relay click! , checked the connector in this video mines fine.(no play tight) I put a brand new starter on and new battery only yr old . its defy electrical issue , ive changed the neutral saftey switch sensor on the trans , crank sensor and its like I'll replace something jeep will start good , but in the next week or 2 this problem always end up showing up and its hit or miss , I could go month with out having any starting problem or it could show up and be every or day or 2 or like now is day to day . I've tried many random tips like neutral an push the jeep a little forward . an set if back into park. 2001 grand cherokee 4.0 white , over 200k owner for over 10 yrs I know the maintenance and upkeep these vehicles take. Whats the part number or name of the connector that's attached to the green wire.
With my 99 Laredo you turn the key nothing, radio ready-made if power disconnected. You will see gagues go to the right and a click under the dash, nothing. if you hit the brake others power and starts. I usually could start without pushing the brake

I then turn the key and it'll just turn but not start. But after the car sits over night, then it will again start up and the same thing will accur all over again. What could be the problem ??? Checked that wire from the starter & it had a good connection. So I took it back to auto zone to run a diagnostic on it again. But this time when he was testing it I seen a arc from the batter terminal. So unhooked the terminals cut them back a little to get new wires to connect to the new terminals and its working!!! Something that simple had me dead lined for over a week...

I don't know what's going on with my 2002 jeep grand Cherokee. I paid 200 for nothing in attempt to fix it. My car would drive for about 10 minutes and then completely shut off. I'm talking steering wheel would stiffen and I wouldn't be able to no longer control it. I'd have to wait it out for 5 to 10 minutes to attempt to crank it back up. Well currently now the car won't even crank, lights won't turn on, nothing will happened. I just purchased a brand new battery 3 months ago, and replaced the crank shaft sensor. So idk what it could be. My car runs great, I love my baby.. I still have hope I just dont know what to do for it.
Here's what I would probably do, number 1 search online or the dealership for a starter pigtail connector, number 2 the junk yard. If all else fails we would have to solder a wire with a different pigtail connector onto the starter solenoid. That option is only as a last resort, because if somebody would have to change the starter they would be in trouble...lol.
I have the same problem with my 2004 Ford Explorer xlt v6 4.0 4wd new battery , starter good, replace battery terminal and ignition switch still the same,no crank no start need help please

Sounds like an electrical issue, maybe a loose connection.

Sound Like you have a bad Park/Neutral switch. Or its connection to ground.

There could be allot of reasons why it won't start, or even turn over. If you can do a detailed video of the issue, that might help us out!

Sounds like you may a loose Terminal, bad ground connection, bad Alternator, or bad connection to it. I'd look into that.

He thought the tab was broken but it wasn't. It was just the pin inside was very loose.

I have the Jeep the anitthft lock light is on I have no money how do I reset it yes I am a girl I no nothing please help
You can try disconnecting the battery for a few seconds to see if that will work, but if it does, the light will probably come back on later.
And I think I am licking oil some where becouse it used two smoke when I cut off
