Highly appreciate your attitudes which are so positive, energetic.... When you and Kurt facing hard time or difficulties, you guys still keep a positive mind to encounter with.
Just wanna say, it’s heartwarming to know you two have a better living in Hong Kong despite all the drawbacks and unknowns in the past years and ahead. Wish you all the best!
wow this place is so much better than the previous one. It's very modern and for the price it's pretty good including the neighborhood. Thanks for showing us. :) Hope you guys are happy where you are living.
I'm leaving in SG, family of 3 live in 2 bed rooms about 80++sqm. some time i still feel it is a bit small like not much room to walk around. thank for sharing this and i do feel more grateful of the space that we own. I will put more effort on org the things inside the house. but for sure. i will cherish more what's we have
Thanks for sharing - couldn't believe how such a small apartment could be organized so effectively! Do you mind sharing the name and age of the building? Looking for similar rentals. Wish you all the best!
i like this layout. Windows at both side can draw natural lighting to living area and bedroom area as well. No strange corner or any odd shape that you can place as many racks as you can. Also the marble-like tiles is good for cleaning. the partitioning is a bit bulky and limit your usage of space. But overall to say, it is a very good apartment to live in. Congrats.~~~~
I am surprised that your apartment is so deliciated, pretty, and lots of windows in this size. I love washroom, cam store lots of things in an order, my apartment has a similar washroom but it is a mess. I cannot suggest more, everything looks fine. Bless you and Kurt live in this home sweet home, greetings from Diamond Hill.
You seem to have such a lovely personality and I love listening to your calm voice. You and your husband look like a very happy and lovely couple. Very pleasant to be watching your video even though I am shocked at the size of your nano flat in HK :-0. I am a first time viewer of your channel :-) From Spore
It does sound like it's super central. I prefer a bit more space and nature so would live in the village houses in the new territories. They have great views of the mountains. Downside is the commute into central is 30 to 40mins.
You seem to have everything you need on hand :) The glass sliding doors allowing you to have an actual bedroom is an amazing thing! Since the apartments are so small, where do you go to meet your in-laws, family, friends?
Your place is very nice! You guys did a wonderful job organizing it to utilize every inch of space. Also your English is excellent! It almost sounds like you have an English accent from the UK? 😊
Really reasonable price for renovated one bedroom apartment. Also in a good location as well. I think it would be much better for one person to live in :)
Hahah yes agree with the sink! Not the the best for cooking. I used to eat take out everyday for the longest time and now so thankful for an actual kitchen.
hmm interesting, UK accent coming back to HK very small aprtment.. why not comeover to the mainland. Try Shenzehn and Guangzhou much bigger much better But goodlocation will always trump other factors so good on both of you. Our family also feels that the surrounding environment is important especailly when you walkout on the weekend, you want to be somewhere with cafes etc and a place you feel cmfortable also its good to be around the same kid of clientelle
❤❤🎆Hello, Warm wishes on New Year to all of our wonderful and very special family and friend. ❤ ❤🎉May you have a meaningful and successful year 2022 that brings you many joys and great big smiles!😊
It must be nice experience for living in nano flat, if all live living anywhere outside of Hong Kong. When you have children - how to live in so small flat? Interesting video 👍
@Kieko At 4:43, if you cant read the Chinese on the light switches, why dont you put another tape on it and write what you do understand. I'm guessing you are Japanese by your name. Or you can put English so both of you can read it if you need to.
haha, finally you got the new space! i remember my last comment you were still living in that tiny space. guess this is a little bit better, but i believe you deserve more normal!
I don't mean to be mean, but I am sure a lot of people are thinking the same things I am thinking: Is being around a lot of shops really worth tolerating such a tiny place? Normally people start feeling miserable when their homes get smaller. Before I came to HK, I had a decent size house in the US. My first apartment in HK was about 700ft and I was literally feeling pretty miserably every day. Watching this video I just have to say human beings are really adaptive.
Don't worry you're not being mean. I think it really depends on the person. For me happiness comes from within. People can still be extremely miserable living in a mansion. Eventually we will consider moving to a bigger house when we need to, but for a years rent I think this place is just fine, and we save up on travel cost etc.
I moved to HK in 1995 to join my husband who was working there then. We lived in a 650sf apartment, which to me felt tiny, but was actually considered spacious by HK stds. I know what you mean when you say you felt miserable living in a small space; in fact we hardly spent time at home simply becos it felt so claustrophic in there. Looking at this video, I agree that Keiko is extremely adaptable. Personally, I would never agree to live in HK if I had to stay in an apt like this, simply because I don't think I can stay sane in such a confined space.
My partner is also from Hong Kong. I've never been there myself but hopefully will explore in the near future. Do you know any of the language? I've noticed your half British aswell. ☺️
Congrats😁Just curious, Is there any reason for you guys have to live in HK Island? There are so many places you can choose from, bigger and also cheaper.
Visited HK before, I love HK, love the vibrant energy that the city transmits, love the MTR, love the people and the tons of small restaurants that are in the city center. But I gotta be honest, I may not do so well in these nano flats. Before moving to a house, I actually have a studio apartment which is 21 sqm that me and the wife lived in after we got married but if it's smaller than that, I think I might go crazy 🤣 What I like about living in a small apartment unit in the middle of the city is it's extremely easy and efficient to go anywhere and how simple it is to manage it, especially if you're busy with work or like I do, travel for work quite a lot. Why? because you only need to lock the front door (and the balcony door, if you're lucky to have 1). This for me is one important aspect of living in an apartment. With a house, man... let's just say there are few things to check and think about before I go, let alone if I'm going to leave it for an extended period of time.
Why stick to the Island bubble? There are so many other decent places outside the island like TKO and Kai Tak with easy access and tons of stuff around
Hmm say whatever we want in comment section…HMM… Have you and Kurt thought about having kids & if that does happen in near future, you guys may have to upgrade to a bigger place?
Yes definitely ~ When we have kids we will be out of this place and probably move somewhere further from central. I also want to buy a dog so it would have to be a pet friendly apartment 😊.
@@kennethyeung7418 and the locals in Singapore are so lucky but yet ungrateful, to question the price they have to pay for their HDB of such size compared to what you have here, that it took the Singapore gov close to 60 yrs to have housing policies ,to get to what it is now, compared to what HongKong had done for the same 60 yrs.

Thanks 😊
Seeing your video puts me at peace while I restore from complaining on my 120sqm apartment in the central
Lovely, cozy and authentic! Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your flat.
Glad to know both of you have moved to a better place.
I love your home. I think it’s beautiful!!! I hope you are both happy!!
Ur voice is so soothing… saw ur video by chance but m glad I saw it 😍

I enjoy the video and so happy for you two for having a cozy place to live 😊
Thanks ☺️
Ooooo, the apartment looks fancy and cozy. 🏠
Happy New Year of 2022, Miss Kieko.🎍🎉
Thanks Jerome ~ Happy New Year 🎉 😊
恭喜 🔺📅🔻🐐
I am impressed. It was a nice apt for Hong Kong and very reasonable.
The space is magical. Lovely too
Space looks amazing. Yes it's small but that's hk and very good use with space. Keep up good work. Lots of 🧡 from syd.
I love it - appreciate you sharing. You guys are a loving couple with a bright future. Wish success and all the best.
Omg!! You are so tidy! I am so impressed. What an upgrade!!!!

I love your current house more! Is so much brighter and cosy!! Anyway I look forward to the next bigger apartment vlog😜

Ooooh finally! It looks so good! Also yassss you're wearing the dress from the shoot! xxx
😉
wow NIce one! though it's tiny, it looks so comfy. I thought it'd cost >10k in CWB for this renovation and so many bright windows. really good deal
We managed to get covid pricing ☺️
This flat looks really nice, and everything is tidy.
Nice place, and very compact what you can fit in the spaces from the apartment. You both stay positive and safe with the current pandemic. Take care.
Happy New Year 😃Love your video as always 😊
Congrats to your new home! Cozy and well organized. Me and my wife used to live in a small studio. Saved some down payment for our home.
Given your locational preference and the rent, this flat is a pretty good deal. Admire that positivity.
How often do you guys cook? The kitchen is really small and was wondering how do you chop vegetables and meat.
Congratulations to you and Kurt, happy new year!
I think the hole above the kitchen sink is for a Mini Bake & Grill Compact Oven (if there is a small hole for the power cable to go through it)
You seem to have everything you need on hand :) The glass sliding doors allowing you to have an actual bedroom is an amazing thing!

Yeah it's a cute cosy space 😊
I usually go to other people's houses.

I was actually born and raised in London haha.
That makes sense! 😊
Really reasonable price for renovated one bedroom apartment. Also in a good location as well. I think it would be much better for one person to live in :)
That mean u guys getting better and better, happy for u, saw u first room tour , can’t even turn your body

ur so pretty.. I instantly became a fan ❣️
Love you guys! Greetings from Poland 💕
The apartment looks amazing with reasonable price. May I know where can you find this?
Holy moly, talk about getting some perspective. People in Australia can’t complain at all about space.
恭喜🎊

I love your apartment!
Thanks! 😊
Very cozy home
Nice flat, happy new year!
if you decide stay hk, there are still many options in kowloon or N.T. with better space
Cool and cosy house. Cheers!
Congrats😁Just curious, Is there any reason for you guys have to live in HK Island? There are so many places you can choose from, bigger and also cheaper.
Thanks! We don't have to live here but it's just convenient and not permanent. Kurt can also be close to his parents who also live on HK Island. 😊
@@KiekoM I see😁
@@KiekoM why don’t live with his parents ?Can save much money to buy house in the future

North . South .
London. Birmingham. Manchester.

早生贵子, nice pic decor (lease shelter?)👍
Cny greeting: overseas msian😂
Very good deal to get a nice apartment with this price. Is it possible to know the name of the building?
Though apartment is but is super cosy n warm.
I just moved to LP from CWB where living for past 5yrs.
Hong Kong known as expensive apartments in the world without any doubt, just a little room has costed 9990 hkd .
Great video 😊👍
cozy, all the best wishes
Hope u all the best kieko
Enjoy 😉
Do you have a fridge ??!!
Nice place, where can buy the cute sofa?

Yes definitely ~

Great! CeraVe. Great US brand. I think Kurt needs to work harder on American English convo. Some of the English subs don’t match Kieko’s dialog.
Yes great for the skin!
The English subs are done by me~ do you mean the Cantonese one? And I speak British English 🤭.
There's hope 🙏 for my two bedroom unit.
Are you sure you can stay anywhere in the world.!??
Thx for sharing
Free Hong Kong, Free Tibet, Free Xinjiang, No more covid lockdowns!
fantastic tiny house~
Nice apartment!!
omg . it's too tiny . with your budget , you can definitely rent a 500ft flat in NT
I wouldnt call these "apartments" per say. They are far too small. Its more like a student accomodation room. Shameful that we have to live like this.
😂

My first time watching this channel. Is Keiko a Japanese ?
2people in 150sqft. that must be challenging.
At least the toilet and shower are separated.
Hope you can buy your own place soon!
💪💪
150sqf for $1240? This is extremely wrong in many ways....
where is this house?
If people in HK can move to mainland China do it because you can have SPACE...there.
Wao very small apartment you are very beautiful woman
very constrained space, esp if u get stuck with someone else in it.
you deserve better
