I enjoyed both Alan Wake games I played. Sadly, I never did American Nightmare, but I've heard it's got a good story. I highly recommend doing them, but obviously do Alan Wake and its DLC first. The series can be pretty story-heavy, so it makes sense AWE didn't land the right way. I know, as a big fan of Alan Wake, it was one of my favorite DLCs, even if, gameplay wise, I wasn't too happy with it. I wasn't upset, it just was kind of a nothing burger once you take away the references.

Control is one of my all time favorite games. Picked it up on Xbox a couple of years ago , 100% it . Picked it up on Steam last year 100% it and then just recently decided to get it for Ps4. I love the lore, the characters, and the game play. Also, getting the refrigerator achievement, you were on the right track, there are 3 in the room you were farming just hit the first run thru the door and on the other side sit 2 more. Odds are 1 in 3 or 4 resets you will get 1
I really enjoyed Control, it was such a good game. I Platinum'd it a while back, and looking forward to eventually Platinuming the PS5 version someday. Great video Jazzy!!
Another banger video, mate! So glad you covered one of my absolute favourites, the ashtray maze will always be a highlight in gaming for me. Would love to see you play more Remedy games, I think you'll get a good kick out of them as they are all mind-bending with some great cinematography and banging music. Poets of the Fall do not miss when they're called to be the Old Gods of Asgard!
Stupendium song for this game is controll.... OOPs ehhh Objects of Power light that can pierce our and what we see YOU HEAR OUR WORDS BUT YOU FORGET....
I loved playing though Control, honestly need to put a bow on the post game and DLC myself, but found them very fun for the most part. I've heard Alan Wake is cool, but haven't tried it yet, but there are Control references in Alan Wake II from what I've seen. Either way, happy to hear that you enjoyed the game, man.
I absolutely hated fighting the Former my first playthrough, i kept falling through the floor lol. I love they connected alan wake and control together. Im waiting patiently for a sequel to Control.
As someone who has only experienced/consumed this game by watching my friend play in a discord call, I absolutely love/admire The Board. They just so silly :3
Control kind of suffers what a lot of games do these days. You get your enemies and your weapons relatively quickly, front loaded for the reviewers to coo over. Then it's up to the skill tree to give you a sense of expansion. Old games like Half Life 1 and Unreal Gold, they had it so that you'd be drip fed the weapons. It gave you something simple, headcrabs, it waited for it to be a problem, then you got a crowbar. Then you got a Houndeye, new problem, waited for it to be an unsolvable issue, gave you a solution, pistol, grenade. The progression of the enemies and the weapons slowly expanded on the sense of progression through the story. It's not something you think about, but it's something that adds to the experience a ton in a subtle way. Imagine if they'd apply this to a game like Control, you'd genuinely have the biggest 10/10 masterpiece ever. It's kind of a push and pull in how game design evolves as the medium of games progresses as an art form.
Bought this game a while back on sale and never got around to picking it up. Watched your video and immediately downloaded on my Xbox. Love this game. Thanks for the vid!!! But love all your stuff anyways.
Just FYI, there's kinda sorta more than just two DLC with PS-exclusive missions, and there's a PS-exclusive variant achievement. Relevant info for the audience who might not know, and possibly for you. Play some Alan Wake. Play some Alan Wake: American Nightmare. Then play AWE again, it'll hit different.
man i remember that first boss fight. i nearly quit the game it was so frustrating and nothing like we saw previously. googled it and im not alone. almost missed out on this
This game wasn't bad at all in getting the platinum, I ended up getting it for both PS4 and PS5. The collectables are always the worst in games, but saving them for last few trophies helps you remember where they are, so you can pick them up as you play on the second playthrough. Now getting platinum on Immortals Fenyx Rising, that's a game I really didn't want to do a second playthrough on.
I bought this game mainly because it was inspired by the scp universe. I almost 100% it, but got bored of the last achievements (the vending machines) and also the expeditions mode broke for me.
The base game is all I've gotten to play, got it for free on Epic a while back. If you haven't thought about trying Alan Wake, you really should. The story is pretty good for the time it came out. I can't wait to try out 2.
Im not very far jnto the video but the control building seems like a parallel to the SCP foundation like the control building contains them and reshearches them
i played Control just over 3 years ago, and honestly? if someone aksed me what the story is about i wouldn't be able to tell them. now i'm not saying the game is bad, as i remember having a good time while playing it, but it's just... forgettable all i remember is the main girl and the weird brother who was (wasn't?) infected by the hiss, honestly i don't even remember why he was weird
phenomenal video I remember watching brickys video called the worst 8/10 gam3 ever and I think it's the ending the game has butnit looks amazing the combat looks fun and a great game loop haven't played the other remedy games but If you do alan wake do not purchase the remastered version on steam it is a hot pile of garbage in a dumpster fire so don't get that get the original but amazing video and I'm excited when the elden ring videos comes out so I can re-watch and not understand the story lol.
Hey, if you enjoyed the story of this game then Alan wake/American Nightmare and Alan wake 2 are on the menu. Those games have great stories, good gameplay and even the achievements are great. Im not a collector, i leave vicariously through your videos to get that sensation and i got the platinum for Alan Wake and 2 because i was enjoying the games so much. ... Maybe one of the collectibles on Alan wake 1 could be complicared
I think it *is* on the devs that DLC2 isn't good. If you can't enjoy or even understand it without having played another game, it's fundamentally flawed. It should be able to stand on it's own as an addon to the base game.
I know this was 3 months ago but i played the dlc before alan wake and it made sense to me after you figure out that the guy named thomas zane and the guy called alan wake are in fact not the same guy. And i thought it was pretty fun even without any context. So i think he was just burnt out on the game
Yes play Alan Wake, it may not have aged well but it is a great game though if you thought control's story was confusing it has nothing on Alan Wake I'm mad I don't have enough space on my computer to play it's sequel
Sorry to be that guy Jazzy but you made a grammar mistake in the title saying "Control's ACHIEVEMENTS we're MIND BENDING! - The Achievement Grind." We're means "we are" so your title says Control's ACHIEVEMENTS we are MIND BENDING! - The Achievement Grind. It should say "were" so the title should be Control's ACHIEVEMENTS were MIND BENDING! - The Achievement Grind
Tried playing control multiple times every single time it was just so dull I couldn't get through it. It felt like it should have came out in 2012. All the "lore" was very surface level with nothing to it. It felt like the story was written by a ten year old. I couldn't even finish the video that's how boring that game is.
What's your favourite game in the Remedy universe?
All of them
So glad you finally did Control! Such a fantastic game! Its a blast and the platinum isn't super hard to get.
This one and alan wake even though the story of those 2 are confusing
I enjoyed my time all of them (yes, even while attempting poetry in motion for the 15th time) but my fave is probably either Alan Wake 2 or Control

Agreed
fr the level desing is cool the music is great and the fake ending is neat
Right up there for the time change level in Titanfall 2.
@@dontparticipate240 unpopular opinion, but that was my least favorite part of the game. I enjoyed the last mission much more.
the musical from alan wake 2 is way better.

Control is one of my favorite games of all time. Just such a good game. Remedy are truly an amazing studio.

Old gods of Asgard are still on my playlist. What an amazing soundtrack that game had.
About to 100% all the remedy games myself, keep killing it Jazzy!
I finished the grind around the end of March, good luck with Poetry in Motion
I really enjoyed Control, it was such a good game. I Platinum'd it a while back, and looking forward to eventually Platinuming the PS5 version someday. Great video Jazzy!!

My jaw dropped when I played ash tray the first time. Also Dr. darling is the best character in this game, no contest
Just hade a bad day and I see a video of jazzy that is out now my day is better
I absolutely hated fighting the Former my first playthrough, i kept falling through the floor lol. I love they connected alan wake and control together. Im waiting patiently for a sequel to Control.
i hope you do Alan Wake and Alan Wake II, because the soundtrack of Alan Wake II is absolute glorious
If you liked this game I highly recommend quantum break, and great content as always I salute you achievement grinder.

Enjoyed this game when I played it some time ago now

Control ultimate edition is 75% off right now until 13 May for anyone that wants to get their hands on it
Great vid Jazzy! Control is simply amazing!
Aye the technical details can suck me your videos are great keep up the grind you got my view!
I love this game. I still have it on my computer even though I finished it a long time ago. i wish they added NG+ or something for replayability.
How we doing Jazzy? Hope you having a good day.
I just finished this grind not to long ago, it was something else man
man i remember that first boss fight. i nearly quit the game it was so frustrating and nothing like we saw previously. googled it and im not alone. almost missed out on this
What a great < Video / Film > Jazzy
Just be glad there isn't an achievement connected to that damned Jukebox as it's been bugged from the release of the first dlc and never being fixed.
All Remedy games are pretty easy to get all of the achievements for. I had absolutely no trouble with Control, either Alan Wake, or Quantum Break.
YES FINALLY JAZZY IS PLAYING ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES OF ALL TIME
I'd love to see you play the Alan Wake games and Quantum Break, hopefully you'll love the other Old Gods of Asgard songs in those as well.
This game wasn't bad at all in getting the platinum, I ended up getting it for both PS4 and PS5.

Great video, Great game! Nice work my friend - Lewis NC
Appreciate you bud, You've been killing it as well! 👌🏻
Anyone else think that Janitor Artie looks like Gary Oldman?
Hell yeah dude I actually trying to get 100% of this game with the dlcs is amazing and confusing
this game is amazing, than you for playing it
Can you look at Contraband Police?
Ive played it but really interested to see your achievement grind for it.
I’m 2 trophies away from the platinum on the ps but I got lazy 😂
Depending on the way you achieve it I will follow and complete my trophies 👀
I bought this game mainly because it was inspired by the scp universe. I almost 100% it, but got bored of the last achievements (the vending machines) and also the expeditions mode broke for me.
Wow, the one time Jazzy absolutely is not a fan of the creative achievement names lol
This game is awesome, and somewhat hidden gem, same as Ghostwire tokyo. anyway awesome achievement grind as usual.
The base game is all I've gotten to play, got it for free on Epic a while back. If you haven't thought about trying Alan Wake, you really should. The story is pretty good for the time it came out. I can't wait to try out 2.
Makes me wanna go back and do the DLC!
Man you should try Alan wake, having played it before control made the Awe dlc way better
^ 100% this. Makes the dlc so much better
I love ur vids! ngl would love to see you play hades!
Have you ever thought about doing achivement hunts on puzzle games like deponia the complete journey
Im not very far jnto the video but the control building seems like a parallel to the SCP foundation like the control building contains them and reshearches them

You should do quantum break too. Its made by the same devs.
Would love to see you play Mad Max.
O yea this game is so good

You should for sure give Alan wake a try. American nightmare is extremely lame but watching you play 1 and then 2 would rock

God I really want to get this 100% done but the vending machine trophy just screwed me over and I have zero motivation to keep playing this game
guess you gotta play the alan wake games now
Man has got to go play Alan Wake. Some of my all time favourite games.
Alan Wake achievement grind when?
Achievements name's where hard for this game and that is exclude the fact he miss named the first 2.
I dare yo to get all the achievements in the remedy expanded universe games
Please play Alan Wake 🙏🏽
I feel like the 2nd DLC would have been better had you experienced Alan Wake before playing it.
Have you played ghostwire Tokyo?
Please do the other Alan Wake games
