Does it make sense to release a CFP ranking? CFP could avoid gripes if they played cards closer to the chest. What is the benefit of doing it? Just do it once at selection day.
I see your point but Georgia has honestly not looked that great. Two losses and before Tennessee it kinda looked like they were getting worse. I definitely think they are a top 10 team but you can't ignore the struggles. It may all be schedule though, I think Indiana or Penn State would have 4 plus losses with Georgia's schedule
Agreed. Teams like Georgia who have the toughest schedule should be looked at by weighing their wins a lot more than their loses. It’s easy to lose a game or two in that situation. Their wins are a better reflection of who they are
@@nsmith5636well you also run into the uncomfortable truth Joel and the Big10 can’t accept. They are propping up PennSt to give Ohio legitimacy but in turn won’t give UGA the same treatment regarding their win on the road against TX.
He's a west coast guy, like most they harbor animosity for the SEC. Half the playoff teams should be SEC, they will beat the breaks off of the likes of SMU, Colorado, BYU etc. Not even playing the same game.
He's naturally gonna try to make any conference Fox has rights to look better. So B1G and Big 12. Fox has no SEC rights, so he's gonna downplay the SEC as much as he can
@ ts4426 Please. Missouri flirts with losing no matter who they are playing. Not the same team as last year. Not even close. Only teams Missouri can best convincingly are weak non power or FCS schools.
If Missouri was a BIG 10 team, they would be middle of the pack. As usual, another overrated SEC team is ranked for no reason just to be used as a back stop for 1 of the 5 2 loss SEC teams.
I laugh at joel, mizzou had harder schedule than all of these teams that joel deeps throat. Indi, penn, oregon going undefeated vs bama, s. Carolina, and T a&m? SEC teams would love oregons schedule, only 1 hard game at home and your in the playoffs. He claims he wants big team matchups but rewards teams with easy schedules.
Dear Joel, on one hand you say you don’t like this about Kirby but on the other hand you’re saying they got it wrong and wonder if they are trolling Kirby… kind of validates him asking about the criteria, where did he state they should be ranked over one team or another? If they are trolling then that implication is even more disturbing
So you think Kirby is justified in what he's saying, but have a problem with him saying it? He's a coach making a case for his team and fighting for them to be treated fairly. What else would you ask for him to do?
Give an example. Coach Smart said Nothing last year being left out of the playoffs with a 3 pt. loss season in 41 games. You're the whiner.@hotsince9181
In Kirby's defense, he did NOT politic that much last year and the CFP dropped UGA from 1 to 6 after being #1 and dominant all year and then losing in the SECCG by 3 to a really good Bama team. So I think he feels like he needs to go to bat for his team this year even more so to ensure his kids don't get left out.
His Kirby hate is way off. He even proves Kirby’s point when saying UGA is behind other two loss team who both have way worse losses. The UGA losses just happen to be to those teams?
To be fair the game was looking like blowout at half due to poor QB play. The Florida game was a struggle as well until DJ Lagway got hurt. Texas was good win but your offense looked bad. Lost to Ole miss and ya you beat Tennessee but Tennessee has looked shaky. This isn’t Georgia best play. There isn’t one great SEC team this year. Alabama is the closest yet but one week they can play like national champion the next week they look unprepared.
@@donleonard4446 To be fair... no team in college football has looked dominate. The Ducks barely survived Wisconsin and Ohio St lost the only tough game they played. For the record I don't consider Michigan and/or Penn St a tough opponent. TX has no ranked win. If UGA gets healthy and has a full O-Line and can get their #1 RB back.... they should make a deep run. It's all about who is healthy and peaking at the end of the year.
As a Ga fan, I’m not mad at Indiana. I think it’s Notre Dame and Miami that shouldn’t be above them. Notre Dame’s loss and strength of schedule is trash.
Precedent was set last year when a Georgia team that lost by 3 in the SEC championship and had three top 25 wins in the regular season got booted from the playoff. Kirby’s comments are 100% valid. Georgia would’ve won the Championship last year.
Uga fan here. Indiana has earned a playoff spot but are the prime example that the committee no longer prioritizes "best win." That's why we're all upset. Texas shouldn't be #3, they should be the first 10-2 SEC team left out
So Kirby is the one politicking? I seem to remember Saban going on national TV a few years back pleading the case as to why Bama should have been in the top 4. UGA has always been the red-headed stepchild. I strongly disagree with your take on Kirby. As a head coach, he is just doing his job!
Cam Ward. Miami should be 11 and SMU should be 14. But Cam Ward is the difference maker there. They'd be favorite very slightly against SMU if they played on neutral field right now
I’m a SEC homer through and through. I don’t expect Joel to not be bias against the big 10 it’s really all he knows. He doesn’t even attempt to know how hard it is to play in the SEC
@@alexkain8564 again they’re gonna turn Indiana into TCU. Ole Miss is actually battle tested unlike that TCU team in the 22 national championship. Cool statement, you tried to cook but just made a obvious statement💀💀

7:25 Why does everyone keep expecting that the CFP seedings are about the 12 best teams in college football? Is not about getting the 12 best teams. The SEC will always have better teams than the Mountain West Champs, the ACC champ and the BIG12 champ yet they will not ever place those SEC teams above the auto bids for those conferences. Its not about the 12 best teams. Its about getting the top teams of each conference to play each other, not the best 12 teams in the country to play each other. Georgia and Alabama are competing with teams in their own conference and not teams from other conferences. They have to be top 3 in their conference every year and they get in. That is all. Its not about any other teams in any other conference being ahead of you. Its about the teams in your conference. That is all. Miami will always be ahead of the #2 SEC team if they win the ACC. Whether they are better than the #2 SEC team or not, it does not matter. That is not the point of the playoffs. We are not seeding teams based upon who is better overall but who is the best in their own conference.
yeah you make an interesting point. I think the question has to be raised to the committee and precedence needs to be established as to whether it's the "best 12 teams" or not because I don't think everyone's on the same page with that one. We definitely need to establish a baseline of what the actual goal is before we can decide who gets in
Last year's center is playing guard now. They don't have enough practices left this week to have any kind of competition. They are going to have to make a call and go with it - super great time with IU coming up. We're going to need to buckle up. It's going to get bumpy.
Agreed. I think Ohio State at full strength is one of the better teams in the country but I think they're vulnerable in the playoffs missing some guys. Should be interesting to see where they end up if they do lose to Indiana
Also notice the word choice by Joel for Texas' resumes vs Indiana. He uses the word "bad" for Texas and "not great" for Indiana. Worlds of difference between those 2 expressions and Joel knows what he is doing when he says them.
Texas schedule in the preseason looked good just like Indiana’s. Indiana margin of victory is 30 a game, Texas margin of victory is 25 a game…not much difference considering Texas lost. He also brought up Penn State avoids playing Michigan this year as if Michigan was a threat.. same Michigan team Texas beat by 3 scores on the road. All I want is consistency.
You can tell Joel doesn’t like SEC teams. He played for Colorado as QB so he shows bias and favoritism for big 10/ big 12 schools. I sense a little jealousy from him because he knows deep down SEC just has better teams. So he compensates on here because he has always felt inadequate to big SEC schools
Right? Texas has a "weak" SOS only by SEC standards, but it's still 38th, and not Indiana's putrid 106th. The Hoosiers play one elite team, one halfway-decent team, and 10 high schools.
Is Indi, penn, or oregon going undefeated vs bama, s. Carolina, and T a&m? (mizzou schedule) SEC teams would love oregon/penn schedule, only 1 hard game at home and your top 5 & in the playoffs. Joel claims he wants big team matchups but rewards teams with easy schedules.
If Indiana makes the playoff with no quality wins, that eliminates the incentive to play any quality teams out of conference. Why risk it if the committee doesn’t value quality wins over losses?
That's true on a lot of fronts, not just Indiana. That's his point. Notre Dame's resume is only slightly better than Miami's. TAMU is better than Florida. Other than that, it's a lot of the Louisville, FSU, UVA and Duke's of the world. Maybe USC gives ND a bit of a bump at the end? Or maybe USC beats them? Naw!!!
Isn’t that what the SEC has been doing forever ? Because the oh we have such a rough conference schedule we play one less conference game and play FCS schools in November. Seriously. They’ve been doing that forever to drag their team rankings higher to spoof the playoff system. It goes back to BCS days they did that.
Yet and it still gives the impression you can lose a couple of games and still get in just because you’re in the sec and I don’t agree with that at all
@@jbaker7439 Everyone except about a dozen schools play FCS teams. Honestly front loading FCS schools is more cowardly then playing them in Nov. Some of the G5 teams people are playing are not that big of a step up from some of the FCS teams. You want to talk about number of conference games played? Explain Indiana. 9 conference games. Their schedule is weak even for a G5 program. I'm so sick of this "we are better because we play 1 more conference game!" Yet you straight up ignore the SEC teams that play a P4 OFC game at the start of the year, then play their P4 OFC rival at the end of the year. That 10 P4 games, more than Ohio St or Oregon have played with their 9 conference games. Stop being someone who just spews the same garbage without knowing what you are saying.
They could have scheduled a non conference game with a blue blood. I know that schedules are made a few years in advanced but schedule tough teams every year otherwise too bad.
@@ironfistalexander3246 You can only play the teams on your schedule. But Indiana got to choose 3 games on their schedule and they chose FIU (3-7), Western Illinois (3-8, FCS), and Charlotte (3-7). Georgia chose Clemson and Georgia Tech, Texas chose @ Michigan, Alabama chose @ Wisconsin. Womp womp, don't schedule like a coward next time.
Exactly just to justify Penn state bama and A&M if they lose or win out an added bs ranked win. K state has way better resume than both of them with 2 current top 20 road wins. They’re just trying to hurt BYU and big 12
They're ranked because it's probably the highest level of parity of any season of college football ever, and there just aren't many good teams to justify leapfrogging them. If you look at the 5-10 teams beneath them literally none of them make sense to move up
I doubt Joel will ever see this but I totally agree except 3 things: 1) the Indiana hate isn't nearly as prevalent as he is painting. I see TONS of fans bringing up the same points for Miami, Texas, etc. as Joel does here. And heard a lot of pundits make the case for Texas being done if they lose to TAMU because of their lack of resume, as well as Miami's very questionable schedule and defense. He isn't the only one saying this. 2) It is absolutely not "ridiculous" or "laughable" to say that this is Indiana's shot facing OSU. I agree that they have done exactly what they should for the schedule laid out before them. But that doesn't negate that there is a obvious and meaningful difference in pounding "lesser" quality opponents (that others are able to pound as well btw) and going toe-to-toe with an equal or better opponent. 3) Kirby has to fight for his team. The "let me argue for you" argument didn't get anywhere last year did it? Where was the punditry last year when UGA lost maybe the best game of the season by 3 points after a perfect SEC schedule finishing 12-0, and Texas gets in because apparently we all of a sudden apply the transitive property to a beginning of the season game (UT vs Bama) and a Conference Championship (Bama vs UGA). Ignoring that both Michigan and Texas played a joke of a CCG. No one (Joel included) wanted to see UGA hoist the trophy 3 years in a row. So I don't blame Kirby one bit. I will say this even though you don't like it Joel, you're man enough to admit he is right.
Ok Klatt, so now the CFP committee criteria for ranking is based on what a coach does or doesn’t say when asked a direct question by the media? As insane as that sounds, you may actually be right which is even more absurd than the complete lack of transparent, defined criteria they’re making decisions on.
As a GA fan, I'm not focused because we all knew the Big 10 would get 4 teams in. But I am furious about TX-how are they ahead of not only GA, but also the two teams that beat GA when their best win was a 3 point win over Vanderbilt?

The difference between Notre Dame and Indiana is that ND went into SEC country and won by 10!. NIU loss is horrible, but ND has been dominating ever since even more so than indiana. I hope indiana makes the playoffs, but they have to prove they can hang with the big boys. A close loss to Ohio State is not a death sentence for them, in my opinion.
Kirby's not wrong. Having the best wins in the country (Texas, Tenn, Clem) and the best losses on the road says that there is no incentive to have a strong schedule
As a UGA fan, Kirby got it from Saban. He was politicking every chance he got when Bama took a loss. I don't know what we all expect when we didn't have a problem with Saban doing it first.
Ohio State is the only team on their schedule this year with a WINNING RECORD. If they lose to OSU then they not only will have 0 wins against ranked teams, but 0 wins against teams with a winning record. Of course they look good!
As things stand now, Georgia would have Penn State in the first round and then when they beat Penn State would have miami. I am salivating! That would be awesome as a dog's fan.
@Diallelus that doesn't matter. Indy is dominating their teams. They look much better than OSU. We lost to Oregon. Barely beat Penn. Struggled against Nebraska who got their brakes beatin off by Indy. There are 7 teams I could name that Buckeyes don't have a chance against.
@@Diallelusby the end they will probably have wins over 3 or 4 bowl eligible teams and if I am not mistaken Washington has a winning record which they beat by two TDS with a backup QB.
Kirby is right. I dont lnow what Klatt is on about... the committee is lazy. They are looking at power 4 win loss, thats it. Like Texas at 4 is a joke when the team that destroyed them is ranked 10th. Either Georgia is 10th and Texas is like 8th or Texas is 4th and Georgia is no worse than 6th. Make it make sense.
would i blame the committee for trolling Kirby? absolutely. Kirby is responding to a reporter's question by advocating for his team. It is part of his job as a head coach. He is *SUPPOSED* to be biased. The job of the committee, by contrast, is to be unbiased and judge fairly. They obviously aren't. UGA has two losses and still has the #2 Strength-of-Record in the nation. They have the #1 Strength-of-Schedule by a mile. Yet they're being treated like none of that is true by a committee that has no accountability. Kirby's gripe is legit, and he should keep hammering it.
The committee is yet again showing that it doesn’t matter who you play the only thing that matters is your record. Every team should schedule the easiest schedule possible every year
Don’t blame Kirby for being aggressive. He wouldn’t have to address it if the committee didn’t have his team on the cusp of being left out in favor of a bunch of teams who played Cottonelle soft schedules. The committee sent a clear message. Schedule FCS bc we don’t care about your quality wins.
My take on this year's ranking. Just play bad teams all year and win 90% of them, and you're golden. Indiana, TX, Penn St, Miami. As long as it's only one loss or less. Teams, if you want in, you better start grabbing all those bottom feeding G5 teams you can and cancel any OFC P4 games you have. I'm looking at you, Ohio St and Georgia, with your upcoming Home and Home games. Cancel that now and scoop up Portland St or South Alabama lawnmower Repair and Pool Supply. Just remember it's not who you play or how you play, just that you won.
Kirby Smart is so nauseating to listen to. I was rooting for them in '21 to get their first championship in decades, but he has become so obnoxious since then. Mr. Big Bad southern boy wants himself a participation trophy it seems. How was Georgia's schedule last year? These teams have about as much control over how the other teams on their schedule perform as Kirby seems to have over his own players. Maybe the SEC can have a drag race to sort out the conference tie-breakers? Whoever has the most speeding tickets wins?
Any bracket where you would rather be the 10 or 11 seed over the 9 seed solely based upon how the bracket is set up is crazy. Get rid of these conference champion byes.
How Joel can’t seem to understand that if you reward a weak schedule then you are going to have schools schedule weak opponents to game the system and we all lose if that happens because blowouts are boring
If UGA has to play a road playoff game, they'll have played a top 10 bama on the road, top 5 Texas on the road, top 10 Ole miss on the road, and a top 10 in the playoff. Half of their games have been against top 25 oponents overall. If they win it all that would be absolutely insane.
thank you thank you thank you. for saying the obvious about Texas. they have beaten no one. at this point the best win would be Texas a m. If texas loses to the aggies they should NOT be in the playoff. PERIOD
Texas has a lot of players from last yr and they were in the playoffs that's why there high can't help your teams have 2 losses or 1 loss but ain't no good
Agree about Miami. The committee just stuck them in the middle for no reason whatsoever. 5:57 (but why the cheap shot against Georgia and the entire South?)
@caramelpop9427 Mizzou beat Oklahoma and auburn. Illinois at least beat Kansas, Nebraska, Michigan and Michigan state convincingly. Mizzou was blanked by Alabama by 30+ points.
Joel love your show! Indiana and Texas had a common team played Michigan. Texas handled them with no problem at the big House Indiana struggled a little bit
Klatt is a joke for not giving the sec props, like come on dude. There's a reason Georgia's strength of schedule is #1 and Indiana's is #106. What a joke.
@jonathanwrehe8015 the sec is the best and has been the best conference for years, look at the national titles and its clear. Other conferences competition just doesn't compare. These 1 loss big 10 teams have only played 1 hard game all year and it's a shame. If they played in the sec they all have multiple losses. Texas is the only school that's been lucky and gotten an easy schedule in the sec this year and they still lost the only challenging game they played this year, in my opinion it they lose another game anywhere they don't deserve to be in, unlike Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss.
I’m going to say it here as an A&M fan. Judging by how the committee and the world is judging us, we could go to the SEC championship game and lose and wouldn’t make it into the playoffs… Just because we’d have that third loss
A bunch of shows have done a segment on exactly this. The theory is that the conferences are probably soon going to do away with the conference championship games for this exact reason. The loser of the game who would have likely made the playoff will get booted from the playoff for losing the extra "reward" game that everyone else didn't have to play. So if a conference is getting less teams into the playoff than they would have otherwise due to the championship game.. then why have it?
If we're going to keep bringing up Missouri as still being ranked let's also talk about Illinois. Same situation with committee manufacturing "ranked wins"
ND and Miami ahead of any of the sec teams is crazy. I don’t have an issue with Indiana being in as long as they don’t lose by 40+ pts against Ohio state.
Miami is crazy. I could see ND there. But here is my rankings. To say that ND has a similar resume is wrong imo. Wins at A&M, Louisville, and Navy, with Army coming up is way better than any Indiana win. The NIU loss is horrid but saying that they have a similar resume win wise is not true.
Sir you just proving Kirby’s point. If I’m Georgia I’m trying to load my schedule with very barely mediocre teams from now on and make sure we have an undefeated record. So stop the capping good sir.

There were many playoff teams worse than TCU that’s a horrible justification. TCU had 6 ranked wins and many playoff teams got blown off the field in their semi final before TCU. It’s a 12 TEAM PLAYOFF NOW TOO
@@bkirk0510 The common denominator is that GA, A PROVEN PLAYOFF TEAM, won both of those games, They beat an Ohio ST team chalked FULL of NFL talent and TCU that got overlooked by Mich but ultimately got proven that they weren’t ready to be there yet by GA. I used to half way route for the dawgs against the Bama juggernaut but Kirby is just messing it all up with his us vs the world crybaby story. Like dude it's 2024 YOU ARE GEORGIA you are no longer the little guy just stop please.
Being undefeated use to matter. In the history of college football losing was bad. Winning your games mattered. Now 1 loss teams are ranked higher than undefeated teams. Just keeps proving the SEC gets extra credit because of history, not the games played today.
Maybe all the other teams should go through the playoffs just to play the sec Champs. If they are ranked higher because they have history. The game played on Saturday should matter.
It's one thing to give auto-bids to the Conf Champs, similar to CBB. It's quite another and ridiculous to auto-seed them with guaranteed high seeds. That's how you have teams like Miami, Boise St, and the Big 12 winner too high.
If the committee defined their criteria on how they picked the CFP then all the questions would be answered. Nobody would have room to ask what or who!
they do define it, but it changes each year. 2022 after TCU lost the championship game against Kansas State, it was the most deserving teams. 2023 after FSU went undefeated and won the conference, it was the four best teams. I wonder what the excuse will be this december when someone eventually gets left out
If they used the CFP bracket they announced tonight, the final 4 would be Ohio State, Bama, Georgia and Ole Miss. Oh and those SEC teams would've had to win at IU, PSU and ND. Why are the SEC playing on the road? Because the committee is all B10 fans.
@@danny49279 there's no way PSU, IU and ND are better than the 2-loss SEC teams. If they played in the SEC, they would have at least 3 losses. My point is the SEC teams should be playing home games. We'll see when they play the games.

Your 100% right. They did it to GA last year and they were undefeated at time and it was their 1 loss for the year.
Indiana should get in as long as they don't get curb stomped by OSU.
1 OREGON
2 OSU
3 TX
4 IU
5 MISS
6 BAMA
7 UGA
8 ND
9 PSU
10 TENN
11 MIA
12 BOISE ST
13 BYU
14 SMU
15 SC
16 TAMU
17 ARMY
18 CU
19 CLEMSON
20 ASU
21 K STATE
22 TULANE
23 ISU
24 WAZZU
25 PITT
And that's where we sit rn with likely that Big 12 champ game and this ASU game being chances for BYU to jump Boise and for SMU to jump them as well...
@@frankschaefer8890Notre dame loss to northern illi. Miami loss to a divisional opponent. It happens. Miami has the best offense and one of the best players in the country. They belong. Tell Georgia to stop losing soo much lol
Notre Dame beat Texas A&M on the road, which is currently tied for 1st in the SEC with a 5-1 record.
@@asaadsarvis9977 ND beat that Georgia Tech team Miami lost to, 31-13. ND has a much better defense than Miami has.
@@asaadsarvis9977 I am an ND fan... So don't question where I have them ranked. As for Miami they've been playing teams and playing with there food every week and were bound to lose one or more games. Telling Georgia not to lose 2 games is like telling any other team not to lose a single game. Georgia has 3 top 10 or so wins in the nation this year. And that doesn't even include the 2 games vs Bama and Ole Miss...
They've run the gauntlet and deserve to be in as long as they win out.
To say that ND has a similar resume is wrong imo. Wins at A&M, Louisville, and Navy, with Army coming up is way better than any Indiana win. The NIU loss is horrid but saying that they have a similar resume win wise is not true.
Indiana could have a pass for losing to Ohio state if they had even a single relevant win.
Their season can't pivot on one game. They can't change their schedule.
@JakeM25 the school does choose their non conference games. Maybe schedule at least 1 actual opponent to be safe.
@@JakeM25 if you only play one real game then the season absolutely can and has to pivot on that one game. You can't expect special privileges
Sir you just proving Kirby’s point. If I’m Georgia I’m trying to load my schedule with very barely mediocre teams from now on and make sure we have an undefeated record. So stop the capping good sir.
I’m starting to think Joel hates the SEC
*miami.. how is Miami the first thing he see when bama moved up 3 spots for beating Mercer
@@asaadsarvis9977 Bama didn’t move up for beating Mercer, they moved up because other teams lost.
I’m a huge Vols fan, but how stupid of a take is it that if an undefeated army beats Norte dame that opens a spot for Tennessee to get in? What sense does that make?
dawgs have a quality win over clemson and the opportunity with a win over ga tech (who beat miami) so likely whoever wins the acc should be below the dawgs
Kirby’s comments came before this ranking came out. UGA was out of the playoffs when he said that
The committee is running the SEC off. Sankey is about to say bye bye!
One can only hope.
Well... bye.
Committee... Criminals do not give you "Criteria". That is just one of the ways WE KNOW they are corrupt. They want it both ways, no way, every way and they can't do that with criteria, rules, standards... corruption does not do that. It changes with the wind.
Indiana wasn’t dominant against Michigan tho? Won by 5 points?? The reason ppl are skeptical is because we don’t want a TCU again!!!
There were many playoff teams worse than TCU that’s a horrible justification. TCU had 6 ranked wins and many playoff teams got blown off the field in their semi final before TCU. It’s a 12 TEAM PLAYOFF NOW TOO
Nobody saw that coming. TCU beat Michigan who had just beaten OSU. OSU nearly beats UGA then UGA obliterates TCU. Anything can happen.
@@bkirk0510and now he probably won’t reply to you because you chose to speak facts
Btw I’m not disagreeing with your point but there is a nuance to it being that there are levels to this and currently if you let Kirby into the playoffs, then you’ll have to meet their standard of play and learn how to close it out.
Man, no one understands the ins and outs of college football like Joel does. The man is a wealth of knowledge and information as it relates to the sport, and most importantly, he’s a professional.
Joel, you are the man sir. Always hits the nail on the head. 😉💪🏾👌🏾
Honestly man, Kirby's incessant whining every single season is starting to grind on me. I used to half way route for the dawgs against the Bama juggernaut but Kirby is just messing it all up with his us vs the world crybaby story. Like dude it's 2024 YOU ARE GEORGIA you are no longer the little guy just stop please.
No one cares what you are tired of, go worry about your team.
@@chasejackson7248 Hoes Mad.
Lots of outcomes. Lots of factors. Lots of permutations. Lots of fun.
I usually agree with you Joel but Michigan is not a good football team & Indiana struggled with them
Being undefeated use to matter.
Or because they all have 2 losses besides texas, while there’s 2 undefeated big ten teams and 2 1 loss. Playing the games matters
@@danny49279I’m happy you have a Brain🤦🏾
@@danny49279 there's no way PSU, IU and ND are better than the 2-loss SEC teams. If they played in the SEC, they would have at least 3 losses. My point is the SEC teams should be playing home games. We'll see when they play the games.
@ if we just went off of “SEC Better” what would be the point of playing regular season at all? Do you want to just invite the north down for SEC invitational every year? The lucky northern teams get the privilege of going down there?
@@randyyounker943 The reality is the gap between SEC and BIG has narrowed significantly. Last year was an all big ten championship game. This year there are 2 big ten teams better than any sec team. SEC is still deepest and most competitive by far, but it’s no longer true that its just automatically better from team to team
Classic Klatt I agree SEC crybaby s.Im a Va native and went SCarolina and in 80 George Rogers is all we had.We were independent we won at Michigan, lost at USC by 10,and in the greatest RB dual ever Rogers and Hershel Walker ran for over 250 each and had 50 carries each.George won the Heisman and UGA won by 3.That schedule was tougher than ours now.Finebaum lied on Indiana showing close scores against WIllinois and Charlotte Indiana killed um.Shame on Finebaum Espn lying like Fanni Willis.
everyone complains about Indiana, when the problem is where Miami and Notre Dame are ranked. every year we see good teams play weak conference schedules...plus any undefeated team in either the big10 or sec would be ranked top 5 regardless of who they played.
I have a problem with TX, Indiana, Miami and ND. We are rewarding teams for playing softer schedules. Can't wait to see what that does to scheduling in the future.
Ohio St and Georgia should go ahead and cancel their Home & Home games
ND scheduled TAMU (who they beat), FSU, USC and Miami. Miami backed out and ND had to pick up Army to replace them. How was anyone supposed to know that USC would be weak and that FSU would fall off the map? It's not like ND deliberately chose a weak schedule.
Indianas opponents record 41-61
Georgia s 62-39
Indiana has beaten one team with a winning record and struggled vs a bad Michigan team.
If Georgia played Indianas schedule I would agree with people who said they don't deserve a home field playoff game. Your setting a precedent for teams and conferences making schedules easier since sos means nothing in the grand scheme.
WINS! WIN ALL YOUR GAMES! IF THE SEC IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE, IT SHOULDN’T MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHERE THEY’RE PLACED. THEY SHOULD WIN EVEY GAME AGAINST THOSE INFERIOR TEAMS. RIGHT! 😅 IF YOUR ELITE YOU WIN!
The SEC teams ranked have only lost to other SEC teams. Flawed point
@@stevethecreeper0211THAT MEANS NOTHING. STILL WIN YOUR GAMES. THATS WHAT THE COMMITTEE IS LOOKING FOR.
Win your games sec man!
@@timothycunningham3983 alright, so an undefeated Army should make it over Ohio St then. Got it
Thanks for another show Joel. Great to watch it. I think the committee is acting in a very “bipolar” way. If you’re going to punish Georgia for playing tougher games, but you’re going to allow Indiana, who have played no one that has a top-tier roster on it… The committee isn’t rewarding teams for playing tough games. Instead, it’s a reward for winning more games.
Ah yes, the tough SEC schedule where you play 8 conference games and can schedule an FCS school at home in week 11.
