I’ve done so many workouts, diets, even diet pills. I had a conversation with God and asked for help because I was tired of being fat. Started small by drinking water, then changed my diet to low carb/keto, then found Jo and did a workout. Been hooked ever since and I’m finally under 200 lbs!!!! I’m doing the damn thing y’all and so can you!!!

Girl, I am 17 and I have never been pregnant. But I was overweight and struggled a lot with the way my body looked. I went from 175 pounds to 129 because of you. My doctor told me to not do any extreme dieting(Mediterranean Diet). But I had to move for 1 hour a day, doing your dance and walking workouts truly helped me. Although I’m a muscle mommy now, I still do your workouts on a fairly regular basis because they will always hold a special place in my heart. Have a blessed day!❤️

At 22 I was in a serve car accident, and I broke my pelvis in 3 places. Was on a walker, then a cane. Before this I was running daily, biking you name it. Then I was 22 on a walker. It took a lot of work and the will of God to get through it. Im 24 now and I can walk, I can dance, bike, all the things. Im working slowly back to it. All praise to God. I just started your videos because I used to work out to a lot of worldly songs.. and I wanted more than that so I came and typed in gospel work out videos. Just like God knew there was a need and sent Jesus, there was a need in TH-cam community for gospel dance workout videos. Thank you for following that leading. Praying healing over you and for a safe pregnancy for you. God bless.

this month I'm celebrating my one year of being consistent with Jo and it's been the most amazing journey. One of her videos appeared on my recommended section and I just tried it out. I fell in love with her energy and I promised myself I'd stay consistent, and here I am. I started off with no diet, just plain 20, maybe 30 minutes of exercising everyday for the first month. I quickly started to see results, I was feeling more confident and good about myself and that allowed me to start working on my diet.
One year later, I exercise 5 days a week with Jo and have 2 days of active recovery. I lost about 19 kilograms and many, many inches, reaching my goal. Thank you Jo

11 minutes in and I don't know why this makes me so emotional to watch... With my last pregnancy I had gained over 70 lbs from being on bedrest. Family members were thoughtless, saying things like I finally lost that perfect girly shape and wasn't skinny anymore. My body really changed and it was so hard to bounce back. My feelings and thoughts were written off as just being shallow and as if I was making a big deal out of nothing - to just accept it as you get older and have children it's a natural part of life to gain weight and it happens to most women, so get over it. I don't think people realize how much it can affect your mental health when you feel like you have no control over your own body. Thank you so much for sharing. You're validating so many women who need it. 💖

I'm 50, menopausal and for the last 3 years I did none of my favourite moving activities, namely dancing and swimming. Jo's workouts, which I stumbled across 2 months ago, which was when I decided to get active again, were the first workouts I truly truly enjoyed. I loathe the gym, have no patience for yoga, etc etc. I haven't measured my weight loss in kgs, only by the fit of my clothes. Never thought I could get my waistline back during menopause but it came back, thanks to Jo's workouts being the very opposite of boring 😊 it's so nice to know of others in the same age group going through similar experiences. 👍

I'm so glad I found you because you are relatable. We are both moms trying to find ourselves again after giving birth. I have been doing your TH-cam workouts since then. Just few days ago my dad told me that I looked like I have lost some weight. It's true! I lost around 7-8 kg already doing only your workouts plus taking care of my nutrition. I was 187lbs at 4'11. I was getting down on myself for feeling sluggish and just not being active/productive especially during PMS. I knew walking helps as it helped me in my teenage years. I started doing your workouts 2 weeks ago. This saturday will make week 3. I started by doing the dance workouts because they were only 15min. Then about mid week last week I started to double them or find a 20min slowly pushing myself. Now I have 1 day out the week where I challenge myself. I haven't looked at the scale yet cause i feel it's too early, and plus, i dont want to. My thing is to give myself time to progress, so I'll probably end up looking in the new year 😊. Thanks for this Jo and keep doing what you're doing!

Mom of 3, and almost 39 now. Have had 2 c-sections. I’m always skinny, and then overweight, repeat….I’m just so ready now to keep the weight off and maintain, but most of all, being healthy isn’t just working out. It’s what u eat, read, focus on, who your friends are, etc and being spiritually close to God. Imo I want to be healthy all around…I was sluggish and a binge eater for 2 years…I realize now my body craves movement. One day at a time. It’s a lifestyle for sure, not a phase. I’ve also ditched the scale because we are more than just “numbers” focus on how you “feel”. Most days I feel stuck, other days I feel good but one thing I’ve learned: progress not perfection. We got this ladies!!! 🎉🎉

The past year has been incredibly difficult, having lost 4 people in my life and navigating grief on levels I’ve never experienced before. Days in bed, not moving, not eating well. I ended up putting on 17 pounds this year and at my latest check up hit 200 pounds (highest I’ve ever been). I found your content on tik tok and decided to check out your TH-cam channel and now I’ve been waking up early to get a work out in and I’m starting to feel like my stamina is slowly coming back. Thank you for providing these workouts for free and making them accessible. Looking forward to the long term journey. 😊

I had my daughter May 2020 via C Section & I too felt like a failure because I didn’t give vaginal birth. I gave birth to my other daughter Nov 2022 and was able to complete my pregnancy by vaginal birth. During this pregnancy, I gave it my all. I prayed more so ever than before, exercised with my toddler, went on walks but most importantly believed that I could do this with God on my side. I told my doctors that having another C Section was NOT a option for me 😅.
Now I’m currently working out to your videos and remembering to be consistent this time around. I’m working out 3 to 4 times a week with rest days in between and I definitely feel a difference this time around ❤. THANK YOU JO for your infectious smile & energy you put into your videos! May you have a great & healthy pregnancy 💕

I am 27 and haven’t had kids yet and my biggest fear is the gaining weight part, not even the pain or sicknesses that come with it. Watching this made me much more okay with it though thank you. It’s as if I “forgot” it’s possible to be a beginner multiple times lol. I think people don’t realize that

    • @rasjidahmova
      @rasjidahmova 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Yeah, don't let your fear of gaining weight keep you from having kids. And don't rush to lose it. Let your body heal. It took about a year and a half for my body to get back normal. But every woman is different. Some it's less or more time. Once you figure out what works for you and you put in the effort you'll lose the weight. 😊❤
And I was 35 when I had my first. 37 with my second.

In addition, his oxygen level would decline to almost zero along with each contraction. It has been 2and a half years since and I am still trying to find the light, hope and motivation. Feeling like I am so far away from where I was/where I want to be has been one of the hardest mental battles. The guilt and shame of once being thin and very fit weighs on me a lot. Because of eating disorders, depression, and anxiety, I went from underweight to overweight very quickly and nothing inside or out feels like me anymore, like I'm inside a suit I can't take off. I beat myself up for it and blame myself and it worsens the depression. I feel like I'm at the bottom of a mountain that I have no hope of ever climbing. When you said we're not beginners just once in our lives, but several times, that actually made me tear up a little. It took some of that pressure I put on myself off. Like, maybe it's ok that I can't exercise for hours like I used to anymore right now. Maybe it's ok to just do what I can for now. Thank you for your inspiring video. Our journeys are different but you've shared that no matter what you're going through you just keep trying. I think I'll try to do a workout today, even if it's small and short

The first four were natural and after the last I have been carrying a lot of mental, emotional, and physical trauma. I few weeks ago I weighed myself and realized I had gained more than I ever expected. Your videos not only motivate me... but provide a support because of your realness and honesty. I have jumped back in two weeks ago and been doing one -two of your workouts and a mommy pouch workout 6 days a week. On top of all the physical changes, including the weight gain, I also developed high blood pressure, scaring the crap out of me when I tried to resume my workouts and passed out. I created a wall and became scared of physical activity. But I want to be there for my future grandchildren so I figured life out. I do weights and yoga in the morning and workout to your videos and pool exercises in the evenings. I'm not where I want to be, but I'm making progress. I also wanted to have a natural birth and epidurals scared me so much since I tend to see the patients that end up with complications. To know that I had a very similar birthing experience and suffered the same postpartum fate brings me a sense of peace. I'm sorry other women experience this, but thank you for showing me that I'm not alone. I'm only about 2 weeks into bettering myself after 2 long years of postpartum depression but Jo has been my go to girl during those two years when I wanted to workout.

Thank you for being so candid! I’ve been able to start working out again thanks to your videos. I have never sweat like I have been in your classes. It feels so good! I can’t say thank you enough for your content and putting yourself out there. You are amazing, encouraging, and truly an inspiration. I suffer from ADHD and it impacts my life in so many ways, and one of the things I face is seeing the world black or white, in other words, all or nothing thinking. So my entire life I have dealt with starting things, exercising, hobbies, and stopped half way because if I missed one day that meant I failed, or couldn’t do it. It’s been a journey steering from that mentality but it is my default and has been for so many years. All of that to say, your content helps keep me engaged, focused, and the way your videos are structured hits all my ADHD check boxes that accommodate my senses to keep going. Your videos are fun, interactive, uplifting, and once I complete the workout it feels like a reward. This is the first time in over a decade where I have been able to stay consistent with working out and I actually look forward to doing it, which is also very new for me. So, THANK YOU! I can’t wait to share my progress with you some time from now. Wishing you the best.
    Giuliana

I’ve watched your videos for a year and worked out with you. This is my first time watching a non workout video and getting to know you. I’ve still felt your light through your workout videos, it’s like you’re in my room with me. Lost so much weight, gained confidence and had so much fun doing it. I say that to say this, with everything you’ve been through you’ve changed lives. You’re such a strong woman and I love you 🩷🫂
