I also think it's why Rob Becket looks legitimately uncomfortable during this whole thing, you can see it in his eyes as tries to decipher whether Richard is actually a little bit annoyed with him or if it's all just an act.
Richard Ayoade is severely underrated. He's quick-witted, eloquent, and he can deadpan with the very best of them. One of the most cringe-inducing things I've ever seen was an interview with Richard and Jesse Eisenberg (can't remember who was actually interviewing them) and they brought up Robert Redford. Richard had this long, elaborate thing about how Robert would make all the beds and clean all the rooms at Sundance. The whole thing was hilarious, but Jesse Eisenberg kept cackling like a moron at every line and it totally ruined my enjoyment of it. Richard, you stand alone. Anyone who can get Jimmy Carr to laugh that hard, that often deserves some SERIOUS respect.
