@Matias Sanchez Wilson it's definitely hectic and you can't escape statistics and programming, I'd suggest you try it out you'll end up loving statistics, i studied BSc Mathematics and Computer Science, i only did statistics while training, so go for it, learn-unlearn-relearn

@@lwandogomomo1388 Yes, but nowadays a masters speaks more volumes than just hons. If you really want to pursue this career a masters degree in quantitative/computational/mathematical finance will set you on the right path, provided you're willing to do a bit of self study in statistics and real/complex analysis

There are many different quants out there. They cannot all be traders. Do your research on the subject

@@ivoriankoua3916 HAHA u got jokes. These are quants period, deal with it. When I say "different quants" I'm referring to quantitative positions within financial firms like your quantitative trader, researcher, financial engineer, developer, derivatives pricing and risk management. These guys deal with financial models on a day to day basis, they collect and use a variety of data to develop trading algorithms and computer models... You hearing the first guy talking about analytics(the systematic computational analysis of data or statistics) and making your assumptions is bordesome.
It's obvious your definition of what a quant is, is different to mine(care to share what they involved if not financial markets?).
