This is hella comforting to me. I'm autistic and my longest running special interest is severe weather and the warnings that come with it. I'm in the car with my husband driving through a thunderstorm right now and am looking out the window listening to this
Definitely a historic day indeed. While I was glad to be on hand for this, I was admittedly disturbed as these storms tracked through.. It's said that this outbreak's a historic one as well.
Thanks to everyone that joined the premiere, and I hope you enjoy this video. I’ve also posted the two PDS Tornado Warnings I got from this event onto my channel.
@ILwarntech I was wondering if there was a new Tornado warning that turned into a tornado emergency at Rolling Fork, MS, it was actually rated EF4 so that tornado was called the Tri-state tornado and it was deadly.
it's honestly terrifying just thinking how this was happening while I was in my dad's car driving at night with a clear and starry sky. I was in Iowa while
The most I got from this event was SVRs and SMWs, mostly during the night time and morning time of April 1st, while I only got 1 SVR on that day the event happened, and even my friend Storm Tracker 998 was involved in the High and Moderate risk
I was tracking some of these storms as well. What a crazy event. Glad you’re doing well and your safe. Are you a storm spotter or just an EAS enthusiast? Keep the videos coming. I subbed.
I’m s trained storm chaser so I was chasing some of these storms with my friend. She wanted to come along and we saw some crazy shit, these storms were crazy. And to think I still wanted to go storm chasing because I had gotten home from Tampa Bay Florida literally a day earlier that day of March 31st lol
btw ur the one i have seen with the MOST storm thingies... idk what there called... but i like to make me suffer... bc i hate the sound of the alerts... i rec one the other for a severe thunderstorm warning in a car radio... it was scary, but i did not freak out like i do to other alert sounds, i was like... i feel different, i did not freak out like i usually.. and the scary thing is that it was saying get to a interior room... that type of alert freaks me out the most...
They are called weather radios and you can find them on Amazon, eBay or at your local Walmart. I collect them as a hobby of some sorts because I like their variety of alarm sirens (especially when they're all activating in unison) and different features such as AM/FM and customizing alerts. I have been collecting them for around 5 years, but I've slowed down as of recently to focus on my other hobbies such as tornado sirens.
K thanks, this is my other account on TH-cam, that's my mom's, that is why bc I was using her PC, but im on my phone so I will watch the vid... my acc on her PC doesn't work so I can't play my games but only on her PC. And that's what I use to play roblox... 😊😊
Sadly my walmart doesn't sell them as often since in arizona we only get like 1 alert per year mostly dust storms, but it's no use to get one if you get hardly any storms, and I live in a area where we get no rain... but ur kind and thanks😊😊
May I correct you, the destructive SVR at 23:20 is not destructive. It would need to have at least Baseball sized hail (2.75 in), or winds at least 78 mph to fall into the criteria of destructive. That SVR only had tennis ball size hail (which is 2.5 inches in diameter).
Then the Heck why did NOAA say "This is a Dangerous Storm", If you didnt hear then you need you're ears checked. And yes, A SVR, PDS SVR, And SVR-E is not the same but they are still thunderstorms.
The device at the beginning is an Ambient Weather WS-5000 weather station. The website I used to display warnings from the National Weather Service is weather.im/iembot
They are called weather radios. In the United States and Canada they can be utilized for weather emergencies such as tornado warnings, flash flood warnings or severe thunderstorm warnings as well as civil emergencies such as hazardous chemical spills or AMBER Alerts. In Mexico, they can be used to alert the public of earthquakes as part of the SASMEX system. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
i was going to say that the tornado warning (sorry i cant pin the timestamp) at like 20 mins got me laughing bc the way u freaked out... im not being rude but usually tornadoes dont hit ur house... its VERY rare for that to happen... if it is coming towards you... tbh u need to run for ur life.. bc it really only goes in a line... or like the same way its usually going... anyways... its rare for it to go a different direction... but u need to be cautios, bc if it doesnt go ur way... u will be fine... but ALWAYS keep the radio on just in case it changes directions towards u... im SOOOOO sorry if u think i was being rude... i wasnt i was speaking from the sources i had when i was 4 years... i had a tornado warning... my dad hated me but my mom begged me to let me be protected... but i was not protected... he kept me upstairs... and now i dont live with him anymore bc he was insane... but yea... thats that for u
Where I'm from we have a local phenomenon called the "Bloomington Bubble" or even jokingly "the State Farm dome" where storms always seem to avoid or split up my area for no particular reason... it's largely anecdotal. Local topography, atmospheric conditions and urban heat effects here may have to do with that. Also, the reason I always try and be cautious no matter what if there's a tornado warning is because my grandparents were almost hit by the Washington, IL EF3 tornado back in November of 2013. If they hadn't had a weather radio nearby, they would've never known it was coming. Also, don't worry about seeming like you're rude, I understand where you come from :-) Not too many people are interested in this kind of stuff
PDS means Particularly Dangerous Situation. When a PDS Tornado Warning is issued, it means a large or extremely dangerous tornado is on the ground and poses an immediate threat to life and property.
