In all three situations, woman feels uncontrolled passion towards a guy, who is not her husband. Either he is married to someone else or a stranger. If the audience dont understand the gravity of her passion and the depth of her emotions, she will come off as a slut and be damned forever. In Indru nee naalai naan, Valli and Rosapoo Ravikaikari, this would be a disaster if audience couldn't empathize with Lakshmi or Priya Raman or Unni Mary respectively. Raja carried that burden on his shoulders rather and gave such gems so that the audience understand the validity of their emotions. Contrast this with Engeyo Ketta Kural movie, which was intended as a moralizing story, not much space was given to Ambika's lust for her lover but her regret and repentance was the full focus on the latter half of the movie.
