The guy that post Oneshot everyday on that degenerate subreddit (r/pyrocynical) actually introduced me to OneShot, without him/her i probably never played this masterpiece game
You can replay the game by deleting the FAKE save data in local files, which will allow you to have a, "Second." shot. Different portions of the game will change, and there'll be a new ending, so long as you take the right steps.
Seeing Pyro play this masterpiece really takes me back to the moment I first played Oneshot, honestly heart-warming to see someone experience one of the best unique 4th wall breaking games ever.

Oh my god, this is the game that actually made me cry when I got to the true ending. The emotional impact it can have on you and the game design is just incredible! Edit: oh no, I just spoiled that there's a true ending. Alright, guess now we'll have to see him do a part 2 where he does the Solstice update.
This game made me cry too which I commend it for because it managed to get this cold heart invested in Niko's relationship with the player and his struggles dealing with the world around him keeping him from his peaceful comfortable life
i mean, it's not THAT complicated, the only issue is that this is not hacking, oneshot asks you for your permission to alter files, and if it didn't, it would be highly illegal

@@octodionis you essentially play in a "desktop environment", meaning you have a desktop with icons and so on. The extras you get with the switch version is that you also have collectibles. This can range from wallpapers to friends and characters you meet throughout your journey with Niko.
I like how both endings have a selfish and selfless aspect to them. Smashing the lightbulb means Niko can see his family again, but you selfishly condemn multiple people to life of darkness. Restoring the light selflessly helps everyone, but unfairly punishes Niko and means he’s stuck there forever. Solstice path definitely feels weaker in that regard since it lacks the realism of the first run’s choice. There can be no compromises, whereas Solstice almost is the compromise you were never given. Me and my bro chose to smash the bulb at the end just because we felt Niko didn’t deserve any of this and just needed to be happy and with his family again. Honestly OneShot is the game Undertale WISHES it could be. I cared far more about deciding the fate of the people and guiding Niko to the end than I did about anything when playing Undertale. Now, guy who told Pyro to play OneShot for like 2 years: could you get him to play OFF now lol
Dude spot on. I was kinda making fun of this game but when it got to the fake-out ending I genuinely felt like “oh fuck no” Undertale feels pretentious compared to this game.

OFF is also a fantastic meta RPG that just completely takes the piss out of Undertale (and yet UT fans will actually call OFF “pretentious” because they need everything spelled out for them, they can’t read subtlety or ambiguity lol) Undertale just feels much more... “safe” and mainstream I guess you could say? Whereas OneShot and OFF feel like they just made what they wanted to make, Undertale feels like they were deliberately handicapping themselves the whole time and making a game that was way too child-friendly. Deltarune has been really good though, Toby’s hiring a team was good for development too and it’s been playing really well

In Undertale Pacifism was considered the only right choice to a fault, even in the face of murderous psychopaths like Flowey. Deltarune finally acknowledges that you cant just pacifist your way towards evil murderous people, like the King, and I love that Toby is taking these things into consideration.

(PS: in the older version of the game (2014) niko actually did have ears sticking out but I guess they removed that in the newer version, so now they think of a furry when they only see the hat and nothing else)

There are some kids like that in the world, I've a few little cousins in both categories. I do hope the others grow out of their ways (I'm sure they will) but you never know...
