Same story with fiber. All very nice that it initially delays BG rise, but it can in fact make things very unpredictable. Especially if every time you use different types of fiber because of the common narrative that as much variety as possible is the thing to go for. Edit: bottom line, fiber can be helpful (not necessary), if you use them, stay consistent. Starchy food with lots of fiber can actually be worse and more difficult to manage. Brown beans for example, to make it worse, those are not just high in starch and fiber but also rich in protein 😂
