I had to laugh out loud when you said, if you get to the finish line with a low blood sugar, "They can save you--probably." And again when you described your mom's comment as, "You can do it--if you hurry." Your expression was hilarious. And then the final laugh was when your daughter said you are an ironman--the big " ironman " almost cried. So sweet. This was a super interesting and fun video. I love you sharing your faith and the beautiful attitude of gratitude you have. You are a blessing to your family and to us out here following along.
Haha thank you so much for the kind words! I’m glad the video made you laugh and that the stories resonated with you. Your support means a lot-grateful to have you following along! 😊
Wow ….. just wow….. from you, Matt I have been fed emotionally to just keep up the fight again and again. Bravo! I am 75 yrs old diabetic of forty years with a determination to keep running , keep fighting …. Thank you.
That's incredible! So inspired...actually going to compete in Ironman next year. Your experiences give me confidence I can succeed (as long as I set up my Blood Sugar Formula correctly, that is!). Being surrounded by the love of your family must've been the best part
That’s awesome-good luck with your Ironman! Setting up your Blood Sugar Formula is key, and you’ve got this. And yes, having family there made it all even better! 🙌
Thanks Matt, one of your most heartfelt videos. Having gone through glucose extreme lows , I’m happy you spoke and focused about it. Td1 can be managed with your help but going through the lows brings forth the dangers of the disease . Also, congratulations with book 😊. Philip
This was such an amazing ride your experience. God is so good! I know without a shadow of a doubt, that type one would have taken me out many times if it was not for God's mercy. I used to lead worship at church, and there were times that I would say, thank-you for stepping up to the microphone for God. Much in the same way, I say to you: Thank-you for crossing the finish-line, making your success, His success.
