I bought a loom knitting kit for a friend that doesn't have a bag or box for storage. Storage isn't a problem when you have Debbie Shore books.
I had one of your drawstring bags in mind when I came to your TH-cam channel, but this one gives me more ideas.
I will make a lined pocket out of the applique piece in the front. Put the ribbon at the pocket top with a button. A loop at the top to keep the pocket from gaping.
A zippered bag in the back and inside. Change the bag dimensions to accommodate supplies and yarn and use my friend's favorite colors so it can be used all year.
I was also thinking I will embroider her name on the end of the straps. Or maybe on the ribbon going across the top of the applique pieces.
When it comes to bags, your videos give me so much creative inspiration! I enjoyed watching this video last night and even more this morning with a cup of coffee.
Gotta go cut some fabric and straps and ribbon!

Such a great video tutorial, easy to follow for a beginner to bag making. I'm delighted with my Christmas Gift bag and will definitely be making more in different fabrics. I help to fundraise for a local Motor Neurone charity and can see these being very popular at our craft sales.

This drawstring bag is lovely. I made one last year, not so fancy, but I made it with it being used as a shoe bag for the holidays. Now I need a fancy one for reuse every year.... unless another shoe bag is needed. Oh well, my girls could have both!!

Love the gift bag. I’ve struggled with sewing projects when a free arm wasn’t available. I’ve turned my project inside out, still sewing from the right side. I find that I don’t have to worry about accidentally sewing the fabric that sneaks under the presser foot.....only because I’ve done it more then once!! 😂 Thanks for sharing all your projects. ❤️

I finally got a break and was able to sit down and sew up some projects. I made custom pillow shams for my breezeway. They came out georgous using various ribbons. Next, is pillow shams for my bedroom. Those will be out of jellyrolls/yardage. I really like the different widths. Not all my boxes are unpacked but one day I hope to find my camera accessories and will post pics. My list is long but I will get to it.

    8:57 What IS ''handmade''?
Things from the store are made by people, as well. with the same help of machinery, as you use. However, these professionals and hard workers (whose profession is one of the essential ones!) are not only underpaid, they are apparently unappreciated and regarded as somewhere beneath the amateur home seamstresses/quilters. They do not get to use cool ''handmade'' labels, nor ''factory made'' ones, nor to show off every pincushion on social media...
But their works also have imperfections. ''personality''. and quality.
Bottom line, pease, leave term ''handmade'' justly for people who do everything by hand.
And it is as well to remember not to denigrate professionals, when praising hobbyists
