Hey guys! Bonus video this week, lol. Wanted to get this out while the beta was still relatively new. I WILL go back and do a better test of some of the amps, I noticed theres a Krank Rev1 and Krankenstein in there now 👀👀 Mostly, I was so irritated from the hassle of the update, it sort of burned me out from wanting to do more testing on the amps 🤷♂️
Dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you're bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf for the last few months =)
Hi Taylor, another great video :) I just got into a conversation with the guys at Mooer and the downloads from the Mooer Studio website are actually sample captured with the GE Labs iOS app. It's something in-between the Mooer tone capture and Kemper profiles. They use the same kind of frequency+intensity sweep(much like Kemper does) to sample the tone of an amp. Then the GE Labs app can export the captured sample to the GNR and GIR formats that the GE200 can load. So, basically you can capture a preamp, or the whole chain, it all depends on what you want to capture. From what I saw on the Mooer YT channel, you can bake into a GNR, pedals in front of an amp, preamp+CabIR, or all together pedal+amp+CabIR. All this can then be loaded into the amp or cab block of the GE200 :) This update is gonna put some heat on the competition :) But, of course, it boils down to how good the captured tone is.
To clarify what 2.0.3 is. It lets you load amp/cab profiles (similar to Kemper profiles) that users made and uploaded to the Mooer cloud. You use the Mooer GE Labs iPad app to profile any amp (again similar to Kemper) and then use these profiles on your GE200. I'm waiting for someone to profile a Mesa JP-2C for me. :)
Downloaded it this morning. Downloaded a few amps but as someone else mentioned made the mistake of getting .gnr files that include IRs. There's an option to search specifically for preamps on the right side of the screen. Downloaded a few different plexi preamp gnrs. They sound great, much better than the stock one.
Thanks for the info, backed up my presets and loaded this on, all seems well, have nt properly tried it yet though. Mooer do need to get their act together on support, as they do make excellent products. Keep up the good work Talyor, brilliant videos that you put out.
Hi Taylor! Big fan of your videos here! For some of the new amp models, as they are samples taken from the Ge Labs (new Ios app), they have the cab "built in" the .gnr file, so you have to use them without the cab on on the GE 200! There are, on the website, samples from preamp (these you use with cabs), and samples of the entire amp, these sound bad if you a put a cab on. Best regards!
The cabs are probably a mixture of mics which is why you can't change them. That's also why they sound better than that seacow ir. I use seacow impulses that have a mixture of different mics that render better sound than a one or two mic ir.
@@TaylorDanleythat is true I stated my opinion there. Love the videos though. I like having someone who isn't afraid to use these great products and advocate for them. I actually bought a stomp because of your videos.
Hi Taylor, I know that there’s better gears nowadays but I think GE 200 still is Ok for today’s need.😅. Just want ask an inquiry if ever you were able to validate the claims of having a Trail or Spill over when switching between presets once you have this latest firmware used for the unit. If it really works, I’d say GE 200 can still compete with todays new gears.
sooo...is there any sound quality changes? trying to make a choice between ge200 and ampero one...in previous vids of you and some other guys (not so brutal metalheads)) on my ears ge200 seems to have lack of space (body?)) and air, darker sounding...so, can this new amps amd owners amps and mayby Eq'ing solve this problem? or just go with ampero?) p.s. love you vids, tones and riffs. greeting from russia)
I find the Editor also a bit "simple looking" in terms of styling. I had a digitech RP360XP before and the editor there looked pretty slick. All the amps and devices looked very graphic you really recognised every piece of the hardware sort of. That was great. I really thought that would be the same or better on a better device and better the Mooer GE 200 is. ;-)
Good question... I feel like everytime I update one of the products it takes me 20 min to find the download link... when I made this video, the update was beta and through a facebook group. I would imagine the official release would be on the website somewhere though?
@@TaylorDanley Awesome thanks for the reply. Not looking forward to the cumbersome update process, but since you shared how to do it, I feel more confident already.
I personally just love what Mooer GE200 became after 2.0.3 update. It served me well with different kinds of external pre-amps and lunchbox size amps (Joyo Bantamp Zombie, AMT SS-20, Marshall JMP-1 to name a few). Now with the features of 2.0.3 I think I can live without my lovely external pre-amps. Because now I can just sample them and load into Mooer GE200. The only thing to complain - is Mooer Studio software user interface. It's probably better to get used to than the Boss one, but definitely is not of the same usability like Digitech Nexus Librarian or alike. And yes, that loading the whole pedals+amp+cab chain into just the amp block is a bit confusing. But taking into account the flexibility this feature gives - this is not an issue for me at all.
Please checkout the new IOS software from Mooer called GE Labs. It can profile an entire cab, preamp and overdrive pedals. I want hear your opinion thanks

Took the plunge and have my ge200 coming this weekend! Will definitely let you know what I think. Hope you’re well man
Thanks Brenden! Happy tone questing 🙌 You too!
thanks for the video. I'll probably wait for the final but I do appreciate seeing the GE200 getting some loving from both Mooer and your channel :)

Thanks, that means a lot! Yeah the product is there... just need good support and customer experience.
is it possible to put in chain 2 or 3 modulación like chorus.flanger and phaser. ???
Hi taylor thanks for te tip update, one question you have metal presets for this ge 200 please?

You're probably right. I didnt think they sounded better than seacow though. They were also extremely quiet (I had to boost the volume in post)

@@17zakattack thanks so much, glad I can be of service 🙌 Did you get that new Revv purple they dropped ?👀 👀👀
@@TaylorDanley yes I did. Not sure which revv model I like more.
Podrías volver a subir los archivos al Dropbox de mooer ge200 de este video??
How do I get the sound to come from my pc? I cant get any sound do I have to use an amp?
It's no longer beta. I was going to get the 2.0.0 but found out it's 2.0.3 now.

So with the new updates how many amps do get in total?
At least you were able to find the update file online, now it's completely gone from everywhere.
Check the facebook group. That's where they seem to make announcements.

Awesome unit. Have a good day
can you show how to start turn of power hold in button and how to download software have problem with it

Yeah. It's not a deal breaker, but it's kind if underwhelming for sure
Ey Taylor, where have you download the update from? Mooer support page seems to redirect you to a broken link.
Good question... I feel like everytime I update one of the products it takes me 20 min to find the download link... when I made this video, the update was beta and through a facebook group. I would imagine the official release would be on the website somewhere though?
Man. I've tried 3 PC and 1 Mac. I keep getting "no device detected" tried different USBs. Nothin. I'm on firmware 1.2.3b. any help?
I have same problem, do you resolve it? How?
That's why I'm so hard to find because specifically a beta update not an actual full update
did you say c cow cabs... can you link that IR page please :)
I just got a used one yesterday. Suffice it to say I'm glad I only have internet on my phone.
can i get the sounds in my headphone?
excuse me, where is the link for the new amps?
That sounds pretty good.
Dude I updated mine a week ago and all I remember Is it was a major hassle and I almost considered not updating
I know 😪 everytime theres an update I have to debate if I want to spend them time figuring it out again.
hi, could you please reupload the presets and ir, they sound too good
They are unfortunately gone, but if you want a BETTER IR, I have a few for free in my discord, link in any recent video..
Hey Taylor! SO how do u feel with thisa vs the Ampero? Thanks Bro. Keepem coming
Ampero has more i/o and is able to do a few more things... but they are pretty similar
Got mine coming tomorrow. Should I update immediately, or try out the "old" version first and see if / how I like it?
You wont lose anything from the update, you just get access to more amps and cabs

Just for bedroom playing, how is the ge100?
Bad, the ge150 is amazing though
What a hassle, I wouldn't want to deal with this just because of that.
It's an important consideration when choosing one of these platforms for aure!
if you have please send me. Mooer ge 200 update firmware 2.0 or 2.0.3
Am I correct to assume there are still no bass amps there?
I dont think so, but I never use it for bass so not sure
Dude. When ur dealing w cab sims and amp modelling, you can adjust the settings to fit your bass. I play nass only, and this kicks ass...

MOOER GE200 Firmware Update v2.0.3 problem
how do you connect your GE200 to your PC? thru Interface?
Yes, apollo twin duo USB
Yes...metal riffage. On a serious note I'm iffy on buying the unit.
🤘 🤘
It's strange, that there is almost nobody on TH-cam using this pedal with an tube amp
Why would you use a multi-fx modeling pedal into a tube amp?? It's doesn't make any sense.
What's up dude, just gave you a follow on IG as well 🤘🏻
🙌
Well......it is just a BETA version.........
That's true!
