Thank you so much! I have been trying to come up with an idea for a base for poles for a very portable deer fence, so I will make my own pole bases, with a smaller version of what you made. And, totally worth it for the mallet head flying off, and you laughing :)
Excellent work. really nice. I am going to make one of these. Will use more water in the concrete mix however and fix the pipe with wood so it can't move
Wow this is great. Wondering if I could make a similar one for a 3 Arm, 40 meter Rotary airer? Would it hold all the clothes firmly without tipping over to dry clothes outside on my patio?
I like your creative idea. I'm thinking of doing a square concrete base form with a longer pipe that can then be dropped into a square planter then add some pebble rocks, soil, flowers and my umbrella. This way if I ever want to remove the concrete base I could.
Really a cool Projekt I may reproduce it. The "Mallet thing" makes me laugh. Thanks. I did not get the point why you wanted this inner hexagon. Is it for better ventilation or a better base for rough ground? I hope the stand will last because I missed some steel wires or steel mesh within the concrete. Thanks for showing Sascha
well done my friend. I really like yours over others, however, you lost me with the math. :) If I do get an umbrella, I will borrow your design, if thats okay with you.
Lovely project once again! One question, though....what were those odd scribbles you did on the paper? I'm assuming it has something to do with Egyptian hieroglyphics? Signed, #actualmoron
cool project and nicely executed ! But be aware of the tools that you use, I was cringing for the cutter and the circular saw... you could lose a finger
I've used it all this time and it works great for this parasol. I wouldn't use it for the huge ones, those would need more weight, but for this one it's absolutely fine :)
Very solid base that made the hammer felt apart...😀, a nice DIY

Great project, lets hope the summer is long and warm
very good Ellen!
A beautiful project and a handy lady.
Excelente idea, muchas gracias por compartir.
Saludos desde Guadalajara México.
I love that you used a conical flask!
I'm guessing that a mallet project might be on the cards soon.
It's my very favourite flask 😁
@@CraftsWithEllen hahaha, my favourite flask looks much different!
🔨👍😊
That looks like the perfect addition to your garden! I was waiting for you to paint your logo on it!
Thought the same thing, especially with the indentation!
I didn't want to make it a very obvious reference, but now I kinda want to paint my logo on the underside as a hidden feature 😄
@@CraftsWithEllen Do it!!
@@CraftsWithEllen Yea, to have it on the top might have been a little on the nose, but on the bottom would be perfect!
Very cool project. I wish I had thought of doing something like this instead of buying one! Next time I will think more before buying!
Thanks for sharing Ellen. Love your DIY style with sandals 😊 same as mine!
Awesome work Ellen! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
this week on modern crafts!
love it :)
Wow!! It’s a great idea to make diy .umbrella stand.
I like the hexagonal design

awesome job we need something like this at my house been thinking of doing a similar thing and ive a bag of concrete in the shed
Oooh do it!!
Goed idee om de strijkplank als werkbank te gebruiken 😉
Wow this is great.

Súper genial!! Me encanta!! Muchas gracias por compartir la idea. Saludos desde Argentina.
How much does it end up weighing?
very nice project, but i got a question: what exactly was the purpose of that inner hexagon?
Gosh I'm so late on reply, but guessing it's the same reason alot of circle bases are concave, it helps with leveling on a surface.

Great idea :D
Super cool, Just mix up a little concrete and math!! Great project for heading towards summer!!
Very nice! Thanks
Mooie voeten. Geweldig.
great ideas, Thank You for sharing
Another great video and project!
This is awesome
Gracias por el video hare uno igual. 🎉muchas GRACIAS por compartir
Great video. Nice build and design. Mahalo for sharing. : )
I loled at the 🔨. Cool looking stand!
That is such a great idea!
Do u think u could do this for a taller light pole? I'm debating on whether to use an X shaped wood base or a concrete base.
I want to make a hexagonal shaped weight plate for a barbell with a handle. I think it's better than circular ones
The problem I have is the wind. These store bought and home made bases will tip over in the wind. I'm still looking for a solution.
Excelente 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
So you used 10.5l of concrete, right? How large is your umbrella and would you say that the weight of the concrete was enough, even on windy days?
Really a cool Projekt I may reproduce it. The "Mallet thing" makes me laugh. Thanks.

Sascha
It's both for stability on rough ground and for not squashing all the grass underneath :)
it came out great!
Un pied circulaire aurait été plus simple à déplacer, non? En l’inclinant, on peut le faire rouler sur lui-même. Bravo pour la débrouille!
amazing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great Idea! what is the weight of the concrete stand?
How did you calculate the weight of the base for the parasol size?
Any idea on what it weighs?
Looks good!
Nice, very Homemade Modern!
Next video - rehandling a mallet... 😉
FWIW: Saw THIS VIDEO and subbed...👍👍

Please do!
Nice! Stay safe.....
Your finished holder should have more width as this will help stop it falling over in wind.

what all name equipment
cool project and nicely executed ! But be aware of the tools that you use, I was cringing for the cutter and the circular saw... you could lose a finger
Nice👍👍👍👍
At 445 you realize the bucket you mixed the concrete in would serve the same purpose
Bonito, tranks
OH MY GOD, take quickcrete pore in a bucket or planter with the plant stand pipe in the center let dry
Nice, but I think that looks more like cement rather than concrete
Ready for the summer!

I'd like to enjoy the weather with you sweetheart!!!

Do you still use this stand? I'm wondering if it's actually heavy enough for that size parasol...
I've used it all this time and it works great for this parasol. I wouldn't use it for the huge ones, those would need more weight, but for this one it's absolutely fine :)
