- Goodwood Festival of speed 2018 (FOS2018) is the largest car show in the world, attracting supercars from the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi and more. The famous hill climb sees cars on a timed run up the hill in order to get the fastest time, ever want to see a Lamborghini vs a Ferrari, an F1 car vs Indy car then this is the event for you.
The 2018 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard theme will celebrate the event's 25th anniversary: "Festival of Speed - The Silver Jubilee". The first Festival, in June 1993, redefined what a car event could be, and, in the years since, it has firmly established itself as the world's greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture. Now, to mark the Silver Jubilee, the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March) will choose his 25 favourite moments from the first 25 events - personal highlights which, in very different ways, have been landmarks in the Festival's history. These moments, and the cars and drivers which created them, will be cornerstones of this year’s event, alongside the usual gathering of extraordinary vehicles from the dawn of motoring to the present day and beyond.

it is such a good event but so much to see in a day. Will be back at the weekend. Hope you enjoy the event if you are going
Great video, looks an amazing day or days out. Shame its not on this year but I would like to try and make it in 2021
It is a really fun few days (if you can go I would do 2 days) but also consider revival (a few videos of that on the channel) as that is fantastic and possibly a better all round experience but both are amazing

@@DamoDrives i cant wait for the zenvo's to race on the track. I heard the tsr and tsr-s for the first time today at TT circuit Assen and they sound amazing!!!
I did a video on the ts1 and had a very brief go in the ts1 as a passenger

Looking to go for the first time for 1 day, mainly interested in looking at all the cars on display. Anyone know what the best ticket is to do this?
Friday is a pretty good day as it’s not as busy but you won’t be able to see the times hill climb. Weekend is obviously the best days but incredibly busy. Make sure you get there really early and at the weekend you can easily queue for an hour to get into the car park , then it’s normally a 20 minute walk to the gate and queues to get in.
Great video 👍🏻 I’ve never been before and will be going this year. Would you say the standard admission ticket is good or would you recommend extra for the grandstands? Tia
Really depends on the number of days you are going for and the type of thing you want to do. The event is massive so if you want to try and do everything in a day then you will spend a lot of time walking so I would save a bit of money. If you plan to just watch the track action then it can be great to sit down at a grandstand. I would recommend more than 1 day though but obviously it’s not cheap. You could always do Friday and Saturday although Sunday has the shoot out. I have several other FOS videos as well on the channel so have a look around. Remember to subscribe 🤭

The type of event does change but the cars pretty much remain the same but the hill climb is at the weekend. Thursday is not a busy but still a lot of people

I agree if you are only going for 1 day that is the best 1 but can be a challenge to get everything done. It is good value for money but not a cheap weekend (although a Friday and Sunday might be a good mix) what ever happens it’s a fantastic event 😊
Hey mate. Would a 55mm camera zoom be enough for the entire event? Wondering because I'm going this year
George Wood i use a 24-135 and that’s ok as long as you don’t want any real closeups of the cars on the climb. Not sure where you will be sitting or standing. Make use of the kit you have a shorter lens like a 55mm is very good for the stationary cars or if you can get very close to the fence / hay bails
