Really good video. We've been going to FOS for the past 15 years. You've done a really good job of summing the festival up. There's just so much to see and do it's hard to capture it all. Also really glad to see you covered the rally stage to, cause like you say, a lot of people don't go up.

I parked at the Kennels so no problems there. I left early so I could get it edited and uploaded before going to the Drivers Ball ! I be around all day on Sunday so shout out if you see me !
I went to the Festival of Speed this year and I actually stood next to you filming the McLaren 675LT Coupe in Napier Green. I really do like your videos and I really enjoyed the festival this year! I made a couple of videos from the festival aswell!
Really useful video. There's four of us going for the first time on Saturday, 1 July 2017. We're taking your advice and going for breakfast in the Porsche cafe. We'll look out for you during the day.
Petrol Ped We had a brilliant day yesterday (Saturday) at the FoS. We used your video as a guide for some of the things to see. The only downside was that we couldn't get into the Porsche cafe for breakfast as we hadn't booked. And unlike some people, nor did we get a glass of champagne on the RR Black stand. We'd never been that close to so many amazing cars before. We're definitely thinking about going again next year.

Follow this VLOG and you can see most things in a day but really you need 2. I'm not sure if every day is sold out yet. Worth dropping them and email or a call. I can't help with ticket resale suggestions I'm afraid. It's a mega event :-)
Yes. They don't time all the cars and modern F1 cars don't take part but the top 20 fastest times from the weekend go for a shootout to get the fastest time. It's covered on Sky Sports at 3pm.
Hi, this video was awesome! Really makes you appreciate how good FoS is. I just have a quick question: how long aroundabouts would it take to walk slowly, sort of the speed you did around all the paddocks? I'm heading up this summer on the Friday, and we were thinking about maybe walking around the paddocks for the racecars (not so much the supercars) in the morning, then watching the hill running in the afternoon.
You could easily do the paddocks in a morning and watch the hill in the afternoon. However seeing everything in a day is a challenge. You really need a couple of days 😬
@@PetrolPed ah thank you very much for a quick reply! To be completely honest, I did sort of think seeing absolutely all of it in a day might be a bit much, so thanks for the advice. In an ideal world, I would be going for two days, however being located in the Midlands and the fact that I'm off on a family holiday the next day sort of makes it logistically impossible. We'll have to think about which bits of the paddock we'd like to walk around and what time we'd want to be at each part (e.g we may want to time the F1 paddock so that we can see all the cars, then maybe see a few leave ready to go up the hill in their "batch"). I think seeing the cars go up the hill may be our main priority
I've also heard that the FoS is addictive, so I imagine I'd end up back there again many times anyway. Even the atmosphere of the whole thing, hearing insanely loud cars from up close, seeing historic racecars, seeing cars of all kinds go up the hill will probably be enough for me, however much we manage to see in the day!

Dont you just hate people who 'stare' whilst you filming?? When you was at the rally stage around 16/17 mins into vlog the bloke with the black jacket and hood was staring you up and down some people are so rude! Love the goodwood videoes btw
