Movie was fuckin horrible. Plain and simple. It's pure exploitation at its worst. Besides ireversibil, everything else Gaspar Noe has done is utter shite.
@@jazzupthattriad1257 You talk about it like people can´t have different tastes. You can´t tell someone they are wrong because they liked a movie. I personally liked the movie, I thought it was a good depiction of realistic relationship tropes as a contraposture to cliche romantic films. It also contrast the carnal pleasures with the closeness of a relationship. It´s not really that plain and simple, at least the movie has something to say about male sexual instincts, parenthood, and monogamy.
@@rodriga1985 Seul Contre Tous is actually a lot better than Irreversible. I think that movie is overhyped. It is good, but not as good as Seul Contre Tous.

I'm so grateful for this film. I felt like I was back in my twenties. Yes, this film is like a porn, but it shows a break up from a mans perspective. Some women think men don't have feelings but this film proves the contrary. The most introspective and tender film I've ever seen. Absolute masterpiece. True to life.
Reminded me of my relationship with my b friend (while I was in my 20's)...
There are hundreds of films that show all that in a much better way, with a proper script and performed by actually talented actors. Not like this misogynistic joke of a film with terribly amateurish acting and bland cringeworthy dialogue.

I think this movie really hones in on young emotionally under-developed love. You can only really love this way once in your life (when you're younger)... It took me back to my younger years. I truly loved the movie.

It was such a beautiful movie it’s so intimate and raw and poetic. It’s funny that he was so self conscious he should be proud of what he’s packing tbh.

One of my favourite movie ever!!!!!!! Congrats. Such a honest real deep movie. Which gives you the hope to feel this kind of real love and give you the hope to find, pursue it. I wuold rather feel this deep love and suffer, feel real pain! Than not feel it at all.

@@oralnisodic I'm not sure what the actual accident was, but it was several botched surgeries that led to the removal of her teeth.

Pimpchimpbitchblimp N i am pretty sure it is up to our interpretations but I think there are two endings. This is from my take on what Omi said when she leaves the flat with the son. “Go take care of your past and I will take care of the future”.
1. Past - Murphy succumbs to the pain that he lost Electra forever and after he apologised to his son in the bath, he will also decide to follow her and commits suicide.
2. Future - He decides to continue living for the sake of his son, even though it means that he will never be able to feel the same way ever again with Omi. As he is very lost in his own sadness and his son seems to be the only thing that he is living for.
why the press continue to talk about the sex and the sex scene of the movie and not talk about the actual story, I will be pissed off too.

I'm very glad that the beatles song couldn't be able to used at the end of this stunning movie. Because it deserves better than the beatles.

All I'm gonna say is that I'm from America and I am nothing close to being square lmao but like he said many Americans are very critical to sex. Particularly in movies which is annoying really because I think films like this should always be shown on the big screen, these films absolutely deserve it. But I personally have a great passion for the film, because I mean it is an absolutely beautiful masterpiece that I think Americans should completely open their minds to, even to consider it just a little bit. I personally feel they will not regret it, and I'm not just saying that because I love the film but because it's TRUE lol. I mean it is just so real and amazing how the film makes you feel their love and how intoxicating it is for them, and how much pain they feel for one another. It's just.. it's just an amazing fucking movie that deserves ALL the attention it gets lol.
The problem of the film is not sex, it's the inadequate script with its bland dialogue accompanied by subpar acting.

Finally! A good porn movie with good acting! It was very emotional, complicated and erotic! Have always been a Noé fan...haven't been disappointed yet!
Are you joking? The acting is absolutely terrible just as the script with its silly and bland dialogue. And if the subpar acting is understandable considering all three actors have no acting experience, trying to compensate the lacking script with sex scenes is inexcusable.

I anyway don't get why people do make such a fuss about sex and sexuality.. nudity.. it's as normal as eating and breathing, it's part of our human beeing... is it a desperate subtle attempt to seperate us from animals? which we are - we are just mammals.. naked-apes... we call ourselves "humans" - and the rest "animals" - but i digress from what i want to say! Watch Blue is the Warmest Colour. It's a hundred times better film with a lot of intense sex scenes but with an actually good script and talented actors.

I also think that Aaomi muyock is pretty amateur. She just played herself. But I am happy to see electra in real life. I would like to call aaomi as electra because it's a better name after all.

i basically skipped foward through most the movie since the scenes that did have actually talking were kind of boring. Im watching this because im curious his reasonings behind creating such a film. i noticed Karl appears kind of shy.

The subtitles are horrible. The transcriber doesn't know the name of the actors or the festival. And has a lot of more mistakes. All the time

Andalib Khusro When she was much younger she got a bad tooth surgery so she got it fixed by getting 2 teeth out and getting replacements.But before she was able to get the new tooth implants this conference happend to which she actually didn't want to go because of the gap.

I was so disappointed on this film :( I had high hopes because the concept of it was very good, but sadly, poorly developed. The script seemed the problem to me, the cinematography was beautiful as all Gaspar Noe's previous films, but the ambience and plot got lost and pointless.
Yes. I notice many people mentioning how this film shows real love but I think it only showed 1 facet of it in reality, the passion and carnal obsession with another. At no point did these characters rationalize anything very well, they were both impulsive and made huge leaps of assumption about each other which made me relate less to them as the movie went on. At the beginning of their relationship the promises they made were so serious, I guess other people take on these kinds of relationships that are full of logical gaps and lacking in understanding of the other. Even though they were fully, emotionally vested in the other, they didn't think about what they did, everything was like watching an adult child go on about its business not knowing what it's doing. So in that way it was revealing to see bc I have people in my life who act this way (I'm 21). The filmatography was beautiful for sure and the message did get across and I enjoyed it so. It leaves your mind thinking about it, about the details, some mechanism behind the scenes is left pondering on everything in the film

the movie is pornography. plain and simple. let's not be an apologist for gaspar noe only because his previous films were great. but if i see it as pornography it still came short because i've seen all forms of porn and there are better ones.

I'd like to see them honestly, I'd love to see something different than the characters constantly trying to revalidate themselves and fuck up the other person and themselves in an attempt to feel something real when they can just feel something real by thinking about shit and their situation and appreciating what they have in the moment, accepting things as they are while moving actively to morph it into something better. Anyways, I'd love to see other films, please provide a list of you're willing and it's available to you.
Interesting to hear his thoughts but I still won’t watch the film entirely. Too much sex, not enough narrative, it gets boring
