- UNO MAS episode #12! On today's menu we have an ending POW Block helmet and Suddenly! type levels among others.
For those that don't know what an UNO MAS level is, essentially it's a short level made to showcase something neat, unique, silly or glitchy in Mario Maker 2. Typically, once figured out, these levels will take under 30 seconds to beat...but those 30 seconds are usually filled with eye opening moments. Let's dive into these levels!
Apologies that most of the level codes I don't have readily available anymore as my raw footage for this video is gone and I have saved over most of the courses with new UNO MAS levels. Major shoutouts to all the level creators for their continued hard work in making this game incredible and finding all these neat discoveries!

According to the laws of Nintendo, a level shouldn't have glitches in it, because it might ruin the game.
The glitch levels, of course, have glitches anyways, because they want to satisfy people with the entertainment of glitches.

Nintendo truly just wants to advertise their games as glitchless, and delete levels because they don't want their cover to be blown, and can't hire better programmers.
It's surprisingly simple really
They have the potential to ruin the game***. If someone abused a glitch and they didn’t delete the level, it could potentially be a near impossible to complete level, so it’s fair enough
Every game has gliches, they can't patch them all. And there fun.

I think I've figured out the infinite pow glitch. If you enter the key block on the same frame you activate the pow for the last time, the game believes that the block has no charges left, so it won't try to remove it from Mario, but it also believes that the block still has at least one charge, so you can use it. these two properties combined will make the game treat the block like it has both one charge and no charges, causing it to be used as much as possible.

if I had to guess, the POW one works like this, there is a counter of how many hits it has left and defaults to 3. This decreases every explosion by 1.
On the same (or near the same) frame that the counter hits 0 you go through the warp which interrupts the animation that removes the POW block and so it's never removed and the counter underflowed on the next explosion to a really high number. The game does not catch a really high number as an exception and so the POW block has an exceptionally high number of explosions left now.
These Uno Más levels should just be called *"The Matti and Itay levels!"*

I just recovered from a massive migraine an hour ago and now I'm worried that looking at that thwomp will bring the migraine back. Fortunately dropping the video quality down to 480p which has no framerate (unless you don't ignore that 480p and below runs on 30 FPS) cuts the scanning effect in half and it looks like the thwomp is stationary

I was watching the video at 480p, so at first, I didn't understand why he was saying he felt motion sick... After switching to 720, I see it. Very strange.
There's nothing strange about it.
The quality is literally called 720p60, as in 60 FPS.
If you watch such content in 30 FPS, you don't see it every frame, you just see every other frame, and thus only see the frames when the Twomp is in the same position.
Same exact thng haens, for example, with videos of Super Mario Bros 1.
When Mario takes damage, he flashes in 60 FPS. But if the video is recorded in 30 FPS, you see every other frame, thus Mario will likely appear invisible.

11:24 I have an uno mas level that I made that showcases a similar glitch, but really delves into it, experimenting with nearly every course part.
Dgr the unbreakable pow mask happens if you have a one block tall hallway with a track leading to a full length on/of trampoline next to another on/off trampoline with a key warp box on the first block of the next on/off trampoline. Also you need a goomba with key in range to be killed with the pow mask. There needs to be a down squash thwomp above the goomba. Make sure the goomba stays under the down thwomp

The infinite pow hat in the thumbnail is actually a glitch that was discovered then showcased on spark gaming's channel which is mostly a channel that showcases super mario maker 2 glitches

A red POW helmet has 3 uses. When activated, a pow explosion is created and the number of uses decreases by 1 and checks whether it ran out of uses on the NEXT frame. If the number of uses EQUALS 0, the helmet will be removed. If a warp box interrupts this process, the game will not check whether the helmet has 0 uses left, so the number of uses will go into the negative numbers and never have 0 remaining uses, making the red POW box infinitely reusable.
So here’s my question. Does Dave completely ignore the bit donators messages or does he edit it out of the TH-cam video...

I never ignore bits or subscriber notifications. I've just found it's much easier and has a better flow to thank people after the level is done or if I get to a pausing point like at a checkpoint. Otherwise I'd be pausing in the middle of gameplay every 15-30 seconds. Hope that makes sense, but I wanted to make sure you knew I'm not ignoring people's generosity

Watched the infinite pow hat trick at .25x speed and i believe the setup is that mario is going full speed and hits his head like a frame before he goes through the box so it gets confused when he's teleported
The off-centered block was because of it has a wider black line at the right and bottom, it was centered I think.

The unbreakable red pow is caused by the third pow charge not going off when going through the teleportation block
