I never got to experience the 70s firsthand due to me being a 90s child, but my dear old dad taught me to enjoy the timeless classics from what feels like a bygone age when compared to the crazy world we find ourselves in now, so here I am enjoying this beautiful composition in spite of it having been born way before my time. ☺️
Good for you! I really feel the 90's was nowhere close to my son's generation. Without hesitation I feel so blessed to be born in an age where music was at the center of our best times. I'm so glad you went to your dad. I also introduced my son to the 60s, 70s and even the 80s music! You only get a short time to love music, for me from 4 years old to this very day! Music is the gift that keeps on giving. The memories alone that music gave to our generation, wow! I hope you will continue to find your favorite beat and enjoy it. I thank God for growing up with so many songs those then and now that I won't ever forget. I hope I never have to lose my own beat as life moves on. I'm in my early 60s and I just cannot give up listening to them songs repeatedly over my years. America is just one band with many of our greatest hits. Kenny Loggins and the Doobie Brothers, along with The Beatles are all great. R&B, soul and classic rock cannot be beat. Enjoy!!!
Born in 1976, and even though my parent's choice of Rock music was mostly late '50s Doo Wop (mainly my father), the Beatles (mainly my mother), and Motown (both parents), I can say that listening to music from my birth decade (1970s) goes to tell you that the 1970s is, bar none, the apex of Rock music.
I love these old songs It brings back so many Fond memories From the 1970's Some of the Best years OF my life Back then I just didn't Know it at the TIME
I agree. I feel like my son lost the beautiful sounds of the 60s, 70s, and some 80s. I even like some songs from the late 50s. The memories these songs evoke cause me to remember so many memories. I have always loved music and I always will. I hope the 90s and millenial kids get a chance to enjoy music, especially with the bands we had!

Love, love this freaking song. I remember my dad would pick me up ( divorced parents) and this was on the radio a lot in the car. So calming and smooth. It will always be a favorite from back in the days and good memories. 😊
No one wants to hear your cringe song memories. Every song on youtube from before 2005 has these exact comments on them.
Gotta love joint custody agreements. My mom called the police to get me out of a tree house at my grandma's house (dad's mom) that was literally 1 block away because my dad's time with us was up.
YEEEEESSSSS
Acoustic guitar is so right. Great music!!!
This song means so much to me. My mama always told me I was stronger then I thought. After her death I realized through this song that I am strong!
❤l love tin man too
i first heard this song back in 1975 🇺🇲in carbondale, illinois i tell you it was a top hit by Amerca ,and iam still listening to it,i was 20 at that time now iam 70,
Wonderful song and production. Dewey Bunnell has a soft magical voice.
So beautiful. I feel so fortunate to have been a Teenager through the 70s. It was a time of happiness. Nothing has been the same since. x
Truth!😪
This is one of my ALL time favorites.
Love this jam. This whole album. Love you America. Helped me get through some rough times
One of the best pop songs ever written.
Que seria el mundo sin estos temazos; Tin Man un recuerdo de mi viejo; Demasiada calidad grande America....
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ... " Love it totally!!!" ❤❤❤
My Sister Cathy always sang this song 🎵 when it first came out. She's 6 years older than I. Moved to California. Cathy we haven't heard from you in awhile- praying for you dear. Praying we all heal in Jesus's name... 🙏 Amen....
Oz never did give nothing to the tin man that didn't already have. Absolutely my favorite quote!!!
Excellent song, never realised they were so good.
I must cry when I listen to this sublime genius arrangement. It hits deep, very very deep.
Tin Man warms this old hippy's heart and always will.
Family matters and “family matters” caused me to spend a lot of time with my grandfather. He cared for me in my younger life; I cared for him till he passed. He’ll always be that man of kindness and love that the Lord gave to me.
Sometimes late
When things are real
And people share the gift of gab
Between themselves
Some are quick
To take the bait
And catch the perfect prize
That waits among the shelves
But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad
So please believe in me
When I say I'm spinning 'round, 'round, 'round, 'round
Smoke glass stained bright colors
Image going down, down, down, down
Soapsud green like bubbles
Oh, Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad
So, please
Believe in me
When I say I'm spinning' round, 'round, 'round, 'round
Smoke glass stained bright colors
Image going down, down, down, down
Soapsud green like bubbles
No, Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And 'cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad
So please believe in me
Music like this never gets old
I know this song is awesome
@@madisondodrill1035 Ikr! I find myself listening to this song when I’m driving it puts me in good mood! Love all their music!
....that feeling when you found your Dad's old cassettes of America and gave Hard Rock, Metal and Grunge a break. So refreshing.
Mom listens to these on radio and I’m from 89, idk but these songs so good SOME
America was just one of the greatest groups of my youth and there were so many. Born in 62 but was just in time for the music explosion of the 70's and 80's.... lucky I guess.😊👍🏾✊🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Will forever remind me of summers on Welcome Channel, this song playing from the small radio...
I thank God every day for these aged memories
Great testimony from Dan Peek who is home with Jesus ❤
Thank you
❤!
Excelente música!! de lo mejor!!!
The Bass lines are Excellent
That's Joe Osborn on bass. Compare this studio version to any of the live performances by America without Joe and you'll appreciate how good he is.
Thank you Dewey Bunnell for this classic!
This song is one of the reasons why I still listen to 70's soft rock all the time. Smooth as hell with beautiful harmonies ❤
This must be a top 20 best song of all time. No matter what what come out, nothing, nothing, can possibly replace its place in eternal rhythm lyrics and execution. It is eternally great, pure and simple.
This is one of my favorite songs and I thank my dad for teaching me such incredible music
I love this Song and i love how it mentions the Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz
Born in 97. Wish it was 67 when i hear music like this so beautiful.... I missed out 😢

My 1st granddaughter and her "Da" favorite song of all time...thank you for thinking of me...❤
This is one of the few songs I would call mathematically perfect. I could literally go on forever and seem eternally bright and lively. It is a masterwork.
Such a smooth and soothing song!
This has always been one of my favorites!
Those harmonies...my goodness, those wonderful harmonies wash over you like a gentle breeze.
I just love the beach boy background sounds great.

Every time I hear this song it takes me back to the days of Edgewater park in Detroit Michigan in the late 70s
