She took care of my older brother now 49 since 1994 (car accident ). Now I take care of him FT, bathing washroom, feeding "everything " no communication, and my father also FT.
I dread the day he goes as it will be a shit show.

This is a highway song. You listen to this while you're driving across the Great West, in Canada or the States. Brings back memories of driving across the country with my Dad and siblings in the 90's.

April 17th for me. Exactly 3 months from my birthday. I'll be 68. I always loved America. And their songs that I listened to before this one were Tin Man and Ventura Highway. They brought back so many wonderful memories. For a reason that I can't explain, Ventura Highway is my favorite.

It's the harmonies in this song that make it one of a kind. The melody is unforgettable...
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. It reminds me so much of my depression and the desert of isolation that came with it, at first it was comfortable being alone but then the pain sets in fast. After a while once you have the energy to “let your horse run free” and seek help, it’s like you have a brand new life. You see the world so differently.

I always wondered why the horse had no name, since it was important for him to be able to remember his own name. Lol! If I had to guess, it would be that naming the horse would have Indicated ownership, and since he set it free, it was as free as he was.😊

I’m 67 and this is one of my most favorite songs. I finally got to see America in concert 2 years ago. Best music and best stage presence. I cried during this song. I was so happy to see them in person Singing it.
