I used to own my own bobcat. Rented one of these to finish reshaping my yard. A year later, had a lot of compliments that my yard looked like I laid green carpet because it was so smooth. Really enjoyed using the lawn rake.
Dudes a maestro on that excavator, makes it look easy but it takes many many hours in that thing to get good at it and a lot of people will never be that good, ever.
The tilling and Harley rake attachments are new to me. They're sure "slick". Very impressed with what they can do. Quite a satisfying video. God bless.
You make me tired just watching your videos. Enjoy your youth, strength and energy because when you get old it goes away. No matter how much you want it back it's gone forever. So, I'll just enjoy other young folks being young and healthy. The yard looks great.
Reminds me of our situation. Got a great deal via family on an older house and decided we were at least going to have an amazing yard and irrigation system. 😂🎉
We use a similar process for seed/sod prep. Harley Rake/Soil Conditioner first for the larger rocks/roots, followed by the FFC Preparator. We've use the landscape rake attachment before both work great for finish raking.
I picked up my T66 in January. I'm not a contractor and its the first time I have ever operated anything like that before. I use it to maintain my two campgrounds along with my personal property. I absolutely love it! I have been wanting to get one of these power rakes for a while now to do exactly what you are doing right now.
Could not agree more! A little more effort, maybe some on the owners part to clear all that out! I’m sure that is not the contractor’s preferred method of operation!
I. know some people want to be like andrew camarata but andrew got the work touch people like when it came to work. His the best ... But u guy's are trying and put out good video's 2👍👍👍👍
You need to add a grapple or grapple bucket to your attachments. It will save you so much time you will be amazed. We bought one of the rock-rake grapple buckets and it works so much faster when dealing with old yards like this where there is all kinds of rock, concrete, bricks etc. laying around. Cuts prep time before power raking by at least 4x.
Oh my god that thing is amazing I wish we had a place up here for me to rent. so far I’ve had to buy my apartments the price isn’t real bad it’s the cost to get them to Alaska . Last year I bought a auger and it was $2000 in shipping
Ha. Yeah doing irrigation or hydroseeding for clients is a bit beyond my scope right now. Requires a lot more time, planning and equipment than I have. Maybe in the future though!
Don't why topsoil was needed, that was raking up nicely. So what will the owner do for vermin - rabbits, moles, badgers, mice! Bain of my life and no stock control fencing for deer. Love to see how it looks now. Machinery performed well, no question and a great video. Now the work begins with tree management and that lawn mower!
The owner had some nice trees and plants. When everything grows in , it will be beautiful. And of course your work was awesome. Didn't look like the same property.
Should of stuck with the harley rake and used your rock hound for picking up the piles after. Would of turned out alot leveler. Lot of work there tho. You did good.
Unfortunately harely rake was on rental, I got my rock hound a week later and I could only bring so many implements on the tailer. this location was 40 mins away. Thanks!
Cool video, but I would have cleaned the debris up and hauled it out. Then brush-hogged everything, then raked or tilled it, then leveled. Long grass and brush is hard to deal with while trying to grade.
So I’m an excavation contractor, and I have a question about Harley rakes. If your churning up/grinding up all the sod, weeds, debris, and smoothing it out….won’t the land grow back what you just pulverized, specifically all the weeds, crab grass, dandelions, clovers etc?
The rake does a couple of things. It will relieve compaction and then grade the property to its smooth. Then you can plant fresh grass and start a lawn care program to control the weeds. Weeds are a constant battle and will need to be managed regardless.
Great video. That is a lot of work.... I have a large yard project that will be about 3 acres of that with pinky sized popple trees to be ground down also. That and sticker bushes. That is how I found your video which is very educational and I know that is a lot of work to go over and over again. If you wouldn't mind I was curious of about how much you would charge someone to go in particularly pick out all the garbage weeds out of their yard bring in black dirt and grade it all to perfection like you did. If I had to guess, I am on the cheap side and do stuff like that by myself I would guess at least $10,000. Am I in the ballpark? It could even be more in my opinion. What a great job you did on their yard 👍 and that big tree that was laying there somebody would probably come and take that for free for firewood. And I see you did not go around their septic tank with the Harley rake and I'm not seeing any clean out pipes or drain field. I'm sure it is all gravity fed drain field since it is going downhill.
Thanks! I generally don't disclose my pricing, but for what I do I am usually just above the rate of daily rentals for the equipment that I use in my area (machines, attachments, trailers, etc). I did stay off of the septic tank area as I was unsure of how old or in what shape the tank was in. Didn't want the machine to go through it!
Site should have been sprayed with pre emergence, mowed and cleaned up before that machine was ever on site. Not the way we would do it. Stumper bucket and bucket with teeth needed.
I'd take that landscape rake back to Bobcat and have them put 45° or 90° elbows on those motor hoses and clock them to where there's zero bind on the crimp fittings. I realize they helped you out with a generous discount on that attachment, but those should have been engineered better. Way too much bind on those fits by using straight couplers even with no pressure in them.
Yea, I have to still throw some 90s on it, since I am mindful of the interference. I think the main issue is the 6b is the recommended size for my machine. The 5b I got (due to deep discount) is just a little too narrow (made for the next size down machine), so the hydro motor hoses line up perfectly with the quick fittings.
@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC It is amazing. Completely eliminates all compaction as well for optimal root growth! Take a look at the videos sometime! You do some great work!
did you find yourself tilling up NY areas with roots? I am grading a property with a bunch of roots from pine trees scattered on the property and as soon as I starter grading, I started exposing all of these roots. I was wondering if this would help fix some of that problem by maybe tilling them up.
Neighbors are probably loving your work too!
I used to own my own bobcat. Rented one of these to finish reshaping my yard. A year later, had a lot of compliments that my yard looked like I laid green carpet because it was so smooth. Really enjoyed using the lawn rake.
*It'd be great to see a follow-up video on it next year when the grass is in and all the landscape is complete.*
Dudes a maestro on that excavator, makes it look easy but it takes many many hours in that thing to get good at it and a lot of people will never be that good, ever.
Thanks!
You sure did transform that yard. Thanks for sharing.
The tilling and Harley rake attachments are new to me. They're sure "slick". Very impressed with what they can do. Quite a satisfying video. God bless.
Your lazy get a push mower
Excellent work, great video. It makes me want to play in the dirt even more, it’s so much more fun when you have big people toys.
Your dealer did you a solid on that attachment. Having great relationships with other businesses pays off
What a difference between before and after, great job!
Thanks!
What a mess of a yard, very nice job cleaning it up.
You make me tired just watching your videos. Enjoy your youth, strength and energy because when you get old it goes away. No matter how much you want it back it's gone forever.
So, I'll just enjoy other young folks being young and healthy.
The yard looks great.
Sure, but as you get older the negative consequences of hard drug use get less, so its way easier just to trip the fuck out and get to work...
Wicked nice. The place is transformed!
Thanks!
You had me at "bit of a mess" and "till it all up"! Very satisfying vid! Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed!
Reminds me of our situation. Got a great deal via family on an older house and decided we were at least going to have an amazing yard and irrigation system. 😂🎉
Nice job separating the stuff you pushed back. Seen so many times people cram it in a big pile and walk away.
Fantastic job, and what a workhorse that Bobcat is!
We use a similar process for seed/sod prep. Harley Rake/Soil Conditioner first for the larger rocks/roots, followed by the FFC Preparator. We've use the landscape rake attachment before both work great for finish raking.
Brilliant work! this is a huge job!
Thanks a lot!

Have you tried adding a t66 turbo with nos and a motec system exhaust?
What a transformation. Great job.
Wow remarkable change ... your the man !!
Enjoyed the video
I just ordered a skid steer with a power rake
Awesome, hope they work out well!
This machine is incredible and so strong.
Brilliant job buddy..
There is all kinds of stuff in that yard. what a mess. Thank you for making it better back there.
Great transformation, looked like a reasonably fun project.
Coolest item I’ve seen yet on your projects. Thanks for the vid 😁
No problem, thanks!
Man I can't believe this customer didn't know anyone that would have scooped up that wood....
Nice machine work operator 😊
The harley rake on the front end of a skid steer is the jam.
Wow. What a difference!
Please come to Pennsylvania to prep my yard for renovation 😀 That landscape rake is badass.
Great job my friend. I enjoy the videos. It looks like your stable of equipment is growing quickly. Good for you man.
Good job on the video and the yard
Very interesting video I was enjoying every second of it watched it all the way through nice work buddy you did excellent....😁👍
Awesome, thanks!
Pretty darn good machine operator. Keep up the good work.
Great job!! Landscape rake is awesome!!
Looks amazing, when that grass grows in it’s going to look really good
Pretty impressed with the job you did.
Good job done over all!
I bet you when the yard was taken care of that was probably a pretty yard overgrown now needs to be trimmed back, reminds me of my dad yard
_"eh ... just push it to the back"_ Famous words said by every homeowner ever, since the caveman!
Till the adjacent landowner comes out and says your on my property and the shitstorm starts .
Could not agree more! A little more effort, maybe some on the owners part to clear all that out! I’m sure that is not the contractor’s preferred method of operation!
Those words usually means I can’t afford to pay to haul it off 😢
He knows what he is doing excellent grading job.
Would love to see what that yard looks like now, after the owners have replanted and new lawn
Nice work on the property.
I recommend getting a 3-way bucket then yal really have fun as well as makes life easier
Looks great - nice work!
Great job , looks good. And by the way I have busted my share of hydraulic fittings

U made a brilliant job on that

just stumbled upon your channel--noticed the NH plate on the trailer--i live in the great north woods myself.
Nice! Yeah I am down in Rockingham County, by the Mass border.
@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC left Mass in 85 for NH--never went back. lol
good luck with your channel and business.
Haha, I moved up here a few years back from Mass as well and don't plan on ever going back. Thanks!
Nice job!!!
If you have two machines and two operators, use the mini as the broom and the bobcat as the dust pan ...... works very well and fast.
wow, nice job !
A super job!
Nice job chum. Don't mind me and my cranky old ways and comments.
Nice work.
Looks good. That rake is awesome it going to be a nice yard
Yeah, the combo of those two rakes is great. Lets you really clean up and grade many types of material.
looks great, good job
Please bring us back to see what it looks like finished. Please, I wld love to see it.
Bro you did an awesome job on that property. The grading cld have been better, but good job on the property.
Amazing video
Amazing video. Andrew Camarta style.
Great job
Stick to only going forward with the harley rake and it will be much better. Good work.
Nice job, beautiful
Going big time now. Surprised he didn’t have you do the irrigation system and seeding. But then you would need more attachments, LOL.
Ha. Yeah doing irrigation or hydroseeding for clients is a bit beyond my scope right now. Requires a lot more time, planning and equipment than I have. Maybe in the future though!

That skid steer can work like a mini bulldozer.
The owner had some nice trees and plants. When everything grows in , it will be beautiful.
And of course your work was awesome. Didn't look like the same property.
Looks good but was it a good idea to bury all that brush?? When it decays you’ll have quite a bit of settling.
This what my yard needs a whole make over but I don’t have that money to do this 😅😅
I call it a rock hound there amazing
Could you go back and film a brief update, to show how the grass came in since?
An instance where the yard looks better than the actual house.. 🤪
Отличная работа!👍
Guys from the countryside are better, more fun, better company. Atte, a New Yorker.
Hopefully they maintain the property and don't let it turn into a jungle like it was before
Should of stuck with the harley rake and used your rock hound for picking up the piles after. Would of turned out alot leveler. Lot of work there tho. You did good.

Nice work bro! Is that a snake a 49:26+ in the lower left?
Thanks! Looks like it could have been!
Cool video, but I would have cleaned the debris up and hauled it out. Then brush-hogged everything, then raked or tilled it, then leveled. Long grass and brush is hard to deal with while trying to grade.

Will this kill all the old grass and weeds so you can restart
Can you come to illinois and do like 4 passes through my little yard with the landscape rake? 😂
Site should have been sprayed with pre emergence, mowed and cleaned up before that machine was ever on site.
Not the way we would do it.
Stumper bucket and bucket with teeth needed.
Just enjoy the video ass clown
Swap out that straight connectors with 90s
Nice work, it really looks great! When doing jobs how far are you willing to travel?
Thanks! I generally will try and stay within 45-60 minutes of my location depending on the job.
Laconia, NH in the house
