I used to spend hours on this game to get all of the collectibles because it was just so addicting. I've never felt so satisfied to 100% complete a game in my life lol
the amount of time I spent on this game as a kid is Insane. Just couldn't get enough then somehow the games went downhill as they went along if I remember correctly
Me too, there was also the lamer dlc to unlock everything immediately but I refused and grinded all the collectibles and challenges

The collision physics and destructible environments are pretty impressive for the time.

PS3 version had better destructible environments than PS2.

This game has basically everything I want in a transformers game, playing as both autobots & decepticons, free roam, collectables. Just needs some stuff from more recent games like foc & dotm.
Also destructible environment
Literally, a remaster would be a gift from god
Some how this game and X-men origins wolverine were pretty great in an era where movie to video game adaptations were cheeks.
@@mcontreras7595 Same problem with all humanity. Standards are way too high for shit we already don’t deserve. All of the movie games were great. Even iron man/Superman which got clowned the worst.
Superman, I don’t even understand how people hated because it was the best Superman experience we ever got. And because they clowned it, we never got another one again.
@@gear4thkwam24 Add the option to change your character for free roam, allow mods, and it's a gold mine. THey're not perfect but I love all these TF games, even Rise Of The Dark Spark for it's ok Cybertron part.
I love the fact that this game is still being supported through mods. You could play the unplayable characters like Shockwave and Devastator. You could also even change characters in the hub world which isn't present in the base game.

This game was legit so ahead of its time it’s a shame there was never a sequel like it, with full destruction of cities with physics like the bad company games and have a mint multiplayer with like massive battles

The old Michael Bay TF movies suck but all of a sudden BumbleBee and Rise of The Beasts are better.

Revenge of the Fallen and The Last Knight were the only ones that sucked imo.
@@logger22 I’m a big TF fan, mostly the toys and comics because I’m a comic book enthusiast and I never liked the original TF from 2007 to begin with. I’d rather watch TF: The Movie from 1986 during the G1 era. RIP Optimus Prime, good thing Hot Rod took the matrix of leadership and became the new Autobot leader, Rodimus Prime. Best thing ever in the series Optimus was resurrected.
I would personally fund a remaster of this game, this was integral to my childhood

DUDE, I REMEMBER THIS GAME! I played this game all the time as a kid back then. I still have the console and the game, I’m actually surprised that this game still holds up so well after all these years.
I remember having both the autobots and decepticon game the DS - main thing I remember about them was you got to make your own character and could choose what you wanted as a vehicle as long as you had it scanned. Which I loved as a kid (the decepticon version was better) - also remember there being a fun multiplayer but you had to have friends that had the game to play it
The ds versions are way better!

Yeah. I remember playing the DS Transformers game, but I'm on the Autobot's side so I never knew there's a Decepticons game until I found out years later.
I had the decepticon game and my brother had the autobots one. Was quite enjoyable to play multiplayer too

I just had the biggest nostalgia flashback of my life! Playing as Decepticons and destroying the entire level because of course I'm gonna play as the baddies and be rewarded for destruction. This game was so good!

Quite frankly, a childhood addiction when I came home from school.
It was so damn cool and every other TF game pales.
I remember the "Our world" part of that intro monologue but nothing after because I was too excited to play the game every time to watch the cutscene

I always sat through the whole thing and now it is engrained into my memory
This game was like the ultimate Kaiju battle simulator fantasy as a kid. The fact that you can knock each other into buildings and vehicles and cause so much physics based destruction made every fight feel super cinematic and badass.
I LOVED this game so much, I remember playing the demo 24/7 until my mom got me the actual game
Definitely one of my favs growing up. The level of physics and destruction was really impressive for a PS2 game, tbh. I really wish Traveller's Tales had made the sequel games. ROTF wasn't as fun for me as a kid because it wasn't open-world and you couldn't destroy buildings :(
I wish more games would utilize fully destructible environments. I feel like we hardly ever get games like that anymore

The 2nd movie had a game on the ps2. Another just titled Transformers based on the Armada series. Remember that one for being able to equip different mini cons onto the Autobots

I remember being stuck on the part where you had to fight Optimus Prime. Those on rails sections that took place in Shanghai and the Ocean were pretty cool

My favorite ps2 transformers game was just called Transformers in US but was based on Transformers Armada animated show and came out in 2004. It was dope.

War for Cybertron and Fall for Cybertron are also very good Transformers games. I played those for hours when I was younger.
WfC and FoC are still incredibly fun to play. Every now and then I'll boot up my 360 and replay them.

I remember playing this for like 10 minutes in a friend's house. It was kinda fun to destroy everything as a decepticon tho.
And I only remember it because some friends and me were gathering in that house to go to a party somewhere else and, for a weird moment, we all gather in the living room to play this, for some reason. Even the girls stopped by to look at the game lmao. Then, when our friend was finally ready to go, we all snapped out of it and just turn it off immediately and left. A funny and strange moment to remember.

For a 2007 game, it’s honestly sad how good Sam and Mikaela looked in this game as opposed to modern sports games that try and make the athletes look like their real-life counterparts
Grand Theft Auto Bots
The Fall of Cybertron games are super good. Those are more based on the comics than the movies and I think they had online co-op. Unfortunately the servers for the games got shut down ages ago but if you can find em I'd recommend trying them out
The major disrespect to my favorite Autobot, Jazz, and my favorite Decepticon, Shockwave was uncalled for, lmao

As a kid this was one of my favorite PS2 games. I'm happy my aunt gifted it to me because i occasionally come back and still play it nice to see others also enjoyed it at some point
5:26 as I kid I could never beat this level, so i had to return the rented game after only experiencing the first 20 minutes of it then doing free roam.

This Game was awesome back on the day, maybe the City and Humans models looks weird, but the Tranformers Models where really cool.
And having both campaigns was a nice plus, each campaign with 3 to 5 hours of gameplay was good enough and for a lincese game is just good.
Also with the "What If.." with Megatron actually beating Optimus and conquering earth.
And Try T: War for cybertron, is really good.
The memories flood back, my step brother found out ways to mod this game it was really great
My favorite memory abt this game is that I went around for hours COMPLETELY DESTROYING the suburbs I felt so completed

I loved this game as a kid. The only thing it really needed was a character select and it would’ve been a bonafide classic (I had to use different save files in order to free roam as the characters I liked, such as Ironhide)

I always found it funny how the police don't attack you when your an autobot as long as you don't transform, even if your blowing up buildings and shooting cars.

well transformers originally spawned from Car Robots, a Japanese subline of Diaclone. We now live in a world where both Transformers, and to an extent, Diaclone (JP Exclusive) are both sold at the same time.
transformers lore is genuinely incredible btw and bumblebee was a great movie
This game is beyond S tier. I remember spending hours just completely leveling the cities. The destruction physics were so ahead of its time. This game was also incredibly fun and the missions could be difficult to the point of ripping your hair out after getting defeated for the 400th time. Such a great game.

The collectibles were so great, and straight up addicting to get. I wish more games had fun little collectible bonuses like back in the PS2 era

I used to play this so MUCH as a kid! The destruction and combat was genuinely really good! I recently downloaded a copy and I found out that the game is very moddable and has a large modding community, enhancing the gameplay and graphics.

God the DS version of this was great to. You could scan any vehicle in the game and they all had different stats.
it's amazing genuinely the challenges collectibles the driving. it's amazing. what I like is that the traversal isn't effortless like spiderman ps4 it's really actually challenging

I'm glad I'm not the only person who knew this game existed. this game was actually also on the xbox 360. this was like one of the first games I played as a kid and it really stuck with me.
So there is one game per movie with shia, there's 2 war for Cybertron games and another that came out last year. Also destroy all humans was rated t. Hope to see more transformers on your channel this video brought me back to the good old 360 era 😊

Its on 360 ps3 ps2 wii and phyicaly on pc there was a digital version on steam psn and xbox marketplace but they were removed
