If you've never watched this show, please do so. It's one of the best TV series ever made but kind of went under the radar a little. Easily stands the test of time.

Play 24 the game.
Kind of went under the radar? It really didn't. I'd easily put it up there with The Wire, though, for fans of those types of shows.

@@DubberRucks I agree that it is up there with the likes of The Wire, but I don't feel it is talked about and is acclaimed as much publicly the way most of the all-time drama TV series are. l put it higher than Breaking Bad. The Wire was a bit of an underground darling for a while too, most internet sources at least acknowledge it now as one of the greatest. I don't feel The Shield has that same rep despite deserving it, but it's starting to get the recognition. Maybe it's different in the US, but where I'm from in Europe nobody I've talked to is really aware of this show.

Game was to big ....in wrestling games they'd have to select only a few for its rosters and st one point they downgraded the graphics in the audience and background for ps2 in order to get the roster bigger and more game modes....technology is a bitch
'The Shield' is my favourite TV series of all time and I wholeheartedly recommend it. It got maligned a bit, because 'The Wire' was so big at the time, but this is a fantastic series that sticks the landing (the finale is perfect). The top notch cast, a very dark sense of humour and constant suspense all contribute to it being so memorable.
I watched this show during 2020. I remember seeing ads for it all the time as a kid and decided to give it a shot. Show is good, definitely wouldn’t be made today

Honestly something that makes it stand out mostly for shows at the time. It’s probably one of the best pilots for any TV show just for how it connects to the ending (IYKYK) jt really does stand out above the rest it’s top 3 show easily imo

I think one of my favourite casting things is that the guy that plays Hank in Breaking Bad also played the CEO villain in Lawnmower Man. I just find that funny. The one who appears on the TV screen in the meeting room. Also I'm currently playing a PS2 game that I've had for about 13 years and never got around to, Under the Skin. It's a fun game where you're an alien causing mischief in an arcade-style adventure by disguising yourself as a human and using whatever tools those people have to wreak havoc. It's by the Viewtiful Joe guys and has a level that's a parody of Resident Evil 3 where you have to defeat the Nemesis. If you can find it I think you'd enjoy it.
He also played the swat leader in terminator 2 judgement day

If you haven't seen the show, do so. I implore you. It genuinely is at the level of The Wire in terms of quality but sadly it is underrated as fuck
I bought this game specifically nine years ago on PC just to see how bad it was...I wasn't prepared. I never ended up finishing it despite how hard I tried. It's worse than can even be shown on youtube. It is hilarious though.

I was a big fan of the show back in the day. But I also knew, as most gamers do, that TV and movie video games are rarely anything but cash grabs. So I rented this one night. Brought it back about an hour later. Luckily a friend worked at the blockbuster so I could exchange it with no problem. I knew better. Lol.
This show was absolutely historic. Its literally the show that started it all by pushing the limits of primetime cable, leading us away from sitcoms into the world of mature, gritty shockers. It's the reason we see the tv rating in the top corner of every show.
I love how the eyes make the face look like a mask. Chiklis looks like Ryan Gosling with that stunt mask on in Drive

The premise of this show is a great example of differences in time. There was a lot of "System failed me," vibe in people back then. So stuff like the Punisher and bending the rules to stick it to the system was popular. People today still have it but now this is associated with bigotry, corruption, and excessive force because people actually trying this.
No one is more of a sad victim of these bad eggs than the Punisher. The character was always against racism, police corruption, and police excessive force. Now his symbol is ruined by them.

You know, the only time ever remember hearing about this game was on a newspaper called the The metro which is a free newspaper that you get on the bus or train. I've never seen a copy of this game in the wild. To the point where I thought the game was made up.
Can't lie, I love that show and have seen it multiple times and I'm super impressed they got the actors to voice the games but the intro "just another day" song seems off lol. I actually wonder if they just used voice clips from the show.
I love the part where the guy loses his gun, but he just pantomimes that he has a gun anyways. Definitely a classic moment there.

Man, Rampart was such a big shit show in LA...that it has its own Wikipedia article and several movies. Quick example is Training Day. Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums also known as CRASH is still being used by gangs on the street, although being technically rebranded to LAPD Gang and Narcotics Division. I don't know if they still commit the same crimes as before but, I wouldn't doubt it. Me being buzzed from a fifth of bourbon doesn't help, but this is a interesting rabbit hole to dig in too.
I loved the show. Sounds like they even got the actual actors to voice the characters.

Love these videos, takes me back to the days when you were never short on a title even though half of em were crap.
Who knows? In todays era of remakes & reboots some of these games could work better with a face-lift, tighter controls & maybe just slight improvements to the original stories. A lot of these games could be alright in today's world.
