Lol 😂 yeah I ran the car for like 20 mins and the fans weren’t turning on so I revved it and the fans turned on twice.. I cut all that out not to be boring .. I always struggle having the car level even for the trans fluid change too.. wish i had a garage with a lift.

Did you use the entire gallon of coolant?

I’m wondering. When you drained the coolant off the block. How was that replaced when you started the engine. I was in the impression you can’t start an engine without coolant on the block. The thermostat opens up when the engine is up to temps so the entire time the engine was warming up there was no coolant on the block? Can someone please tell if I am looking at this wrong. Thanks

No idea what the Honda service manual says to do, but in general you don't need coolant if the engine isn't hot enough yet to need cooling. And at any rate, the water pump moves coolant from the radiator into the engine as soon as the motor starts. The thermostat opens once the coolant is warm enough to require cooling through the radiator, but until then it's diverted back through the engine.

is the drain bolt located towards the back of the engine where the engine oil drain bolt is or closer to the front by the oil filter? I couldn't 100% tell since it was so close up. it looks to be the rear but wanted to be sure. thanks.

I’m pretty should the drain bolt is the one closer to the rear and just above the oil drain bolt. I didn’t see that much Coolent come out of it so I didn’t bother with it.

Would you trade cars with me for like one week? So one week we trade. You take my Lexus IS and I take your Honda Fit. Then after one week we return our cars back to each other. We will be able to enjoy each other’s vehicles this way. It’ll be a random week of having a different car.
