    Appreciate the video. I've always been told not to shake the brake fluid bottle because it will add air bubbles in your brake line.

    Just use Honda coolant. And don’t let your brake reservoir get below the low setting when bleeding. And use a clear hose so you don’t get brake fluid everywhere

      Amsoil coolant is excellent. Manufacturer fluids aren't always superior to 3rd party products.

      @mistercohaagen my favorite coolant is called the low toxicity biodegradable coolant it's compatible with all other coolants and you can mix it to the ratio you want we'll make a big Improvement in your vehicle warm up times with the Dominator coolant boost.
      You can get those products right through my link and that would attach me to you in the future I could always be your Amsoil dealer and would be able to answer your questions about improving the performance and lifespan of your vehicles by choosing the right fluids👍

    You forgot to drain the remaining coolant from the engine block and you should also use a transparent tubing for bleeding the brake.

      @@dianasanta7587 that's because you can't mix the blue antifreeze (OEM) with another, and he just flush the radiator but there still antifreeze inside the engine. You only need to turn on the car with the Valve open to flush completely.

      If it was my car I wouldn't turn it on without any water in it because you could starve the water pump and if you got a phone call or got distracted and forgot you could totally wreck your motor.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I usually do.
      If they're very general tools I usually don't mention it like 10 mm or 15 mm socket for an oil Bolt because they are in every socket set

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you haven't got a socket set yet I recommend if you're going to be doing basic work you can get a Craftsman socket set on sale right now during the holidays or you can also get a lifetime warranty socket set from Harbor Freight however they are not very strong tools say you cannot pound on them with a hammer or use a air ratchet or use an impact gun because it will crack the metal because they are very very very cheap tools.
      If you're looking for something of real substance I recommend getting a used Snap-on set which is the best you can get pawn shop or on line.

    I think you should mix the coolant 50/50 because even though it's warm in Nevada the factory antifreeze has additives that prevent corrosion that your whole system that your not getting at 20%. As far as the Amzoil additives, I think snake oil. They have good oil but, everything else seems far fetched. The guy at the end saying his car is riding better, the fluid change isn't going to do that !!!

      I use Amsoil Signature 5w-20, PI, and Upper Cylinder lubricant. Their products are not snake oil. I didn't use their engine flush, rather ATS or Liqui Moly. My sister has a Fit and the concentrated detergent in PI has worked wonders on the built up gunk in her fuel system and combustion chamber. She is the type never to touch her car outside of an oil change, coolant top off, and air in the tires. Not all additives are junk.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct the block holds about a quart depending on the vehicle all you do is a couple draining fills run the heater core and that will get most of the coolant out.
      The most important thing is to continue to flush it until the fluid runs really clear once it's running super clear you're ready to put the good stuff in 🎬☕☕💯

    Is this a self bleeding cooling system? I have an 07 and need to do both of these flushes. Also for an occasional autocrosser would you recommend upgrading to dot4? I have factory brakes with performance pads and super sticky hankooks rn.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah pretty much the Hondas are self bleeding sometimes you might want to squeeze the tubes and you'll see it burp the system a little bit but usually it's pretty easy.
      Yeah you can run the dog for race fluid it just has a higher boiling point and it's better for super autocross situations

    When bleeding the brakes as assistant pushes and holds brake pedal down and you open the valve are you quickly opening and closing or is that little bit that spurts out all that’s in the line every brake push?

      jdhrap when the assistant presses down the brake pedal it pressurizes the lines. Then the bleeder screw is opened any air or old fluid is expelled. The bleeder screw must be closed before the brake pedal is released or air will be sucked into the brake lines, this is very bad. Also as the fluid is bled out you must keep adding more fluid to the master cyclinder throughout the bleeding. He doesn't show this in the video.

      @@johnnyherrera7821 No you don't have to drain the removed back line. Remove it, then install the new one. Pump the brakes to fill the new line and bleed it at the disc caliper. Bleed it until it is air free. Since it is a new line, check the line where it attaches to the disc caliper and the upstream connection. Also you should bleed the opposite wheel just to make sure it is air free also. The front and rear brakes are split. You work on front you must do the two up front. Work on rear you should check the other side on the rear also.
