Oh yeah the ATF is completely off the rails. They are actively working to punish legal gun owners under laws the Democrats wish they had been able to enact but have not enacted! Its insane. They are putting radical people at the head of this agency precisely to punish legal gun owners and scare the population. I think Its going to backfire becasue its tyranny and maybe we can capitalize on that (and get some awareness and protections in place.)

This is absolutely disgraceful. It’s beyond shameful that a U.S. government agency would slap these BS charges on a law abiding current U.S. service member. I cannot imagine what he and his family are going through right now. The ATF should be ASHAMED of themselves. Instead of going after real criminals, it seems that they spend the majority of their time going after law-abiding Americans.. even current active duty service members trying to serve their country!! I truly hope that he wins his appeal and has all of his charges DROPPED and that the ATF be held accountable for their twisted un-American agenda. My prayers go to him and his family

While the problem does come down to the jurors, its really the selection (or really deselection since that's what it really is) process that is the real problem. If it is a jury of ones "peers", then only the defendant and his or her council should be the ones picking the jury. The prosecution and court as a whole should have NO involvement in the jury selection process other than maybe just basic oversite to make sure that there is nothing nefarious (like say payoffs or whatnot) going on during selection.

If everyone disregarded their statements, you’ll find they have no power and are impressively limp dicked. The best example was the pistol brace letter. Even now, there is a lawsuit to “overturn” their “ruling”

Every photo I have seen, appear that these were dummy/inert/training aids and incapable of being a weapon. A piece of pipe and two loose end caps is now an explosive device, as they (the atf) can modify it, add some material from your home, and turn it into a weapon.

Not the first time I’ve heard of the ATF modifying something that isn’t illegal… making it illegal… then making enforcement based on what the ATF created.
They did it with the portable wall hanger… they spent 15 minutes dremelling the novelty hook to create a “drop in” auto sear… then fired a gun… and went after people that bought these novelty items.
I don’t understand how you can create something illegal then charge the person….
