I was working at Concorde around this time. The word was: Corman didn't green light the sequel because the first was successful; he green lit a sequel because he had paid a lot of money for the Carnosaur models, and wanted to get at least two or three movies out of them.
Doesn't matter how villainous Cliff DeYoung comes off here... He's still more likable than he was in Independence Day (1983)! 1982 in Film? Over three hours to spare you say? Well, I know what I'm watching while I work out next week!
Cliff DeYoung is so good at playing a villain in movies or television. He and Wings Hauser always look like they're having a ball being over-the-top jerks and crazies!
My experience with this movie is I never saw Carnosaur. But recall owning a DVD of Raptor and I had a DVD of Carnosaur 2 and I thought they were the same movie with different actors. Have you ever seen Raptor? It has Eric Roberts and Corbin Bernsen. Idk what came first Raptor or Carnosaur also Carnosaur 3 spliced things in from Raptor you did not see. They don’t make sense half the time the stuff from Raptor and the stuff from Carnosaur.
Well i mean obviously the feature has to have someone that is semi drunk throughout the production. Its a B movie after all. And since Cameron Mitchell kicked the bucket by that time someone had to step up and take one for the team. John Savage is a trooper. ;)
You might say he's *Savage* Might, but probably not though. Trooper is more appropriate. Edit: lol then again, if it's good enough for Snob who am I to argue. Savage it is.
Honestly, despite me preferring the first film's more somber and apocalyptic tone and style, this one is definitely a fun follow up to pass time with. The shift from Deinonychus to Velocirraptor is ok but I kinda preferred the dinos from the first movie a lot more, even if these new ones have also very good suit work. Movie 3 I always found weird with the whole plot point of "the raptors and rex somehow work together" lmao.
So, I have very fond memories of this movie from back when I was a teen! I remember that this movie aired in this one channel here in my country that used to air some really "bad" b movies late at night, and I would watch them all the time with my mom, and Carnosaur 2 was one that really stuck with us and we would constantly joke about it for weeks (we kinda joke about it until this day heh) Thank you so much for making a video on this movies, it's a blast from the past for me ❤️
I spent the whole damn video wracking my brain as to why John Savage was so familiar and what I knew him from before finally realizing he played Captain Ransom in the Voyager episode where Janeway is the most like a villain, Equinox. He was also in Dark Angel... my sister loved that show. I mostly remember it for being the first place I ever saw Jensen Ackles and wondering how the hell he wasn't more famous and a bigger deal.
They should have nuked the site from orbit. Preferably before the film opens. Edit: I can't believe they actually did that lol Also I have to stop commenting before finishing the video. But I just love comments so much!
I remember watching this with my friend who had a bunch of odd ball dinosaur movies horror, action, adventure, and even science ones that are really outdated this always was the one VHS that we watched before the jurassic park 2 or 3 VHS tapes
After you're done reviewing the Carnosaur series CS, you should keep the dino train going and review Future War. Starring the incredibly talented and charismatic Jean-Claude Gosh Darn.
Only eight more Carnosaur movies until they go in space! Unless we go by when eating Jason's heart would turn someone into him. Then it's the next movie! Either way more Carnosaur is a good thing!
0:33 Wait, what the FUCK?! Did Snob review that one before? 4:41 Quite a resume. 2 of those were good, and only 1 is total schlock. 6:44 Holy shit, I still have that game! 9:17 He can at least take pride in, despite being the only black guy in this sci-fi/horror movie, he didn't die first.
Is it weirder for Cameron or Corman, when Corman makes a movie that is basically like if John Connor was in Aliens. I know they still talked occasionally back then.
If the dinosaur was hispanic, would you call her a Carne Asaurda. 9:33 that gives Mark Dacascos' *DNA* a run for the money for "best worst helicopter toy model crash scene"
Well when they bought the film rights to the books, they got a six film deal. Idk how it works with Jurassic World, but I would assume the rights will revert back the Crichton Estate.
Every time you review a movie Cliff DeYoung is in I always anticipate the references to both Shock Treatment and Independence Day. The man truly elevates every movie he shows up in.

Can I buy a xenoraptor!?
Sounds about right to me. 🤣
robertyasumurs, can you have an interview with me about your time working at Concorde (big project).
Probably the closest Dino Crisis movie we will ever get.
Those 1+2 need a decent reboot.
My dad rented this for me from Blockbuster way back in the day. Makes me want to play Dino Crisis.
Dino crisis is a classic!
My aunt let me rent this and get cheap pizza while babysitting me in the 90s, didn't get to finish the movie.
This was fun to work on in 1992 or whenever (I did some effects for the first film also). John Buechler was a really friendly effects supervisor too.
Do tell more.
I'll say this: Louis Morneau's two Jim Belushi movies Retroactive and Made Men are both really enjoyable!
I second this as it would be interesting to see more dinosaur horror films.
I third it.
I would love to see a movie or TV show adaptation of Primitive War, which is about US Soldiers battling against time displaced Dinosaurs in Vietnam.
Dino Horror
with men-in-rubber-dino outfits movies

I hope it's not for screening purposes only because I get really excited when the 1980s in Film videos drop.

I quite liked him in Shock Treatment.
And I know why I'm skipping work!
Of course Cliff is in this! Why can’t he be in more films? He’s brilliant. Also, couldn’t Miguel fight it with the shits he got from those enchiladas?
Dose dam enchiladas !
The amazing thing is, he was never a guest star in Seinfeld.
@@aarondavis8943 That's because Miguel is always _about something_
I remember laughing so very hard a few years ago, at the review Carnosaur 1. I do have 3 hours to spare, with The Snob for his 1983 episode.🙂👍👌
4:45 - Animals eating Jason's heart? That'd be a great escalation of Jason Goes to Hell's body-jumping plot line: Jason vs. Grizzly!
Tony from Hack the Movies is going to really appreciate this one...
Carnosaur 2 kicks ass!
Personally I think the carnosaur is just an Osha employee who takes his job very seriously.
They’d go crazy if they were inside Black Mesa
We’re getting 1982 in Film 5 months early?
Seems like a great birthday present for me
That Corman sprang for a 16 foot tall dinosaur prop says all you need to know about how much he wanted this franchise to work.
Who would win in a movie trivia showdown: Brad or Jay Bauman?
The film Jurassic Park should have been! LMAO
That's laying it on a little thick.
Great review!

Miguel Núñez Jr isn't there to fight a Leprechaun, he's there because of the damn enchiladas.
Should be in a dual feature with Xtro2.

Tuvix: ¬_¬
Every Trek Captain needs an episode where they're most like a villain.
Can't wait for 1982 in Film. Now I can know what movies my parents missed because I was born.
Yes the makers of this movie definitely watched Aliens.

1982 coming next week? Yaaay!
This is one of my favorite movies, thanks for reviewing it
I got nine minutes into this video and only then realized I'd forgotten this movie was about dinosaurs. I love it.
I love the smell of Carnosurs in the morning...smells like grilled cheese...
I remember watching this with my friend who had a bunch of odd ball dinosaur movies horror, action, adventure, and even science ones that are really outdated this always was the one VHS that we watched before the jurassic park 2 or 3 VHS tapes
I've always loved the carnasaur movies they are all good fun in their own ways.
When i was a kid The vore scene was soo brutal for me , very violent , a great HORROR movie
Not so much a vore scene than a dismemberment and disembowelment.
I don’t think that word means what you think it means

Thank you 🙏 so much for doing this movie 🍿
This has been a long time in waiting.
Hey! I just retired last week so I might just have 3.5 hours I can fit in between studying music and reading for pleasure!
0:20 Well, I guess that's something I can look forward to.
Brad you are one the coolest TH-camrs.
Brad is just awesome!
Looking forward to the review of part 3!
I love how the Paul riser knock off is even wearing the same clothes as his character did in Aliens
I wait for it a week ago and I finally get see it today.
Review Part 3.
Dinosaurs love helicopter rides! I would have said "There goes our budget", but I saw the Fisher-Price logo on the toy.
After you're done reviewing the Carnosaur series CS, you should keep the dino train going and review Future War. Starring the incredibly talented and charismatic Jean-Claude Gosh Darn.
3:52 love that episode
If I had a nickel for every movie where Cliff DeYoung blew up, I'd have two nickels
Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
In Tommyknockers, he gets Listerined by touching a TV that was hacked to be a dabgerous trap. Thank you Stephen King and cocaine.
@@josephwilles29 Dear god how could I have forgotten the Listerining
@@declanhandley-byrne4335 thank the Nostalgia Critic for that turn of phrase in his review of the Tommyknockers

🤨 not in Flight of the Navigator
I reckon if they’d made a Dino Crisis movie they’d get Miguel Nunez to play as rick
Like the Carnotaurus in the thumbnail, instead of a generic carnivores dinosaur.
Maybe The Cinema Snob review the Wood Rocket Parody of Jurassic World.
I'm one minute in. Miguel is mentioned = Strong recommend. ;)
Fun review.
Still better than any of the Jurassic World films, especially Fallen Kingdom.
As much as I love this movie, that's a huge stretch
I really should give these movies a watch. They seem like dumb fun.
I agree we do need more Dinosaur horror movies 🦖😨😱💀
As a passing compliment- I am /loving/ the salt'n'pepper~~~!
I was hoping for Carnalsaur 2
Man. This is more Aliens than Aliens. I salute your ability to not review this by simply, repeatedly, saying "Really? Really? Fuck's sake! Really?"
Yeah I saw the first one you did I thought you already covered this one.
I managed to get the Carnosaur trilogy dvd set for over $40.00. Quite a bargin.
Only eight more Carnosaur movies until they go in space! Unless we go by when eating Jason's heart would turn someone into him. Then it's the next movie! Either way more Carnosaur is a good thing!
Is Cluiff de Young by any chance the brother of Dennis de Young of the band Styx?
The first film was so over the top, I just had to see the review for this film.
"You Guns'n'Roses lookin' bitch!" might be my new favorite insult.

Damn. Carnosaur was a trilogy before Jurassic Park had its first sequel.
Corman’s Legendary Efficiency
I think John Buechlers name was spelled wrong in those credits
Oh God! There was a sequel to Carnosaur!?
Wait, they made sequels!? I saw the original on television. What's the current stream platform for this?
Jurassic Park for the Genesis still slaps.
Did anyone see Cliff Deyoung and think it was Wings Hauser with that sweet hair cut?
For years I thought this was a Dino Crisis movie.
Sorry for missing out on this one. You know in my opinion the movie could've used stop-motion.
(Singing) This is the song written for the climax, where we fight the Carnosaur! We tried to kill it with a forklift!
Please review more dinosaur films.
He tried to kill him with a forklift!🎶
Is it weirder for Cameron or Corman, when Corman makes a movie that is basically like if John Connor was in Aliens. I know they still talked occasionally back then.
Wow. Even down to the helicopter pilot being killed in the same way.

No Velocipastor? :(
The most horrifying thing of all is that I can't (100%) tell if you are being sarcastic.
Did Brad review the first movie, Carnosaur?
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Watch vikram it's in theaters great response do check it out
Trying to box a dinosaur?! Did he think he was in Tekken?
Aliens ripoff is an understatement
This is Chapter ending to the Jurassic Park\ World Franchise or @ least that's what they Claim Brad. 😉
Well when they bought the film rights to the books, they got a six film deal. Idk how it works with Jurassic World, but I would assume the rights will revert back the Crichton Estate.
It didn't stop them from continuing the franchise. 😉
Was Chris Gore trolling with that quote?
If the carnosaurus flicks are anything they r entertaining

Vikram review?
I love your reviews you do a great job ! Big Bang theory sucks tho 😂couldn’t watch that one
It’s feels to much likes aliens or abyss but with hilarious dinosaurs ever.
I always loved the carnosaur movies since childhood. Yeah, they’re a bit crappy, but who cares. I watch these on Halloween every year
Hey, at least it had rubber dinosaurs, bad acting, and what looks like a shoestring budget. What more could you ask for?
1:41, Jim, you're a great VA, but don't believe everything a Corman fan says.
14:15 - A toast -- to the very moment in history that humanity stopped taking the Alien franchise seriously 🥂
this movie should of been Jurrasic Park.... 😑 said NOBODY EVER!!! 😂
This movie seems to be way less gory, than the first one.
Review movie Vikram. It's an Tamil language Indian film
