Morimoto Angel Eyes (Halos) RGB with remote control

- I bought some Morimoto XC 100mm and 90mm Angel Eyes and 3" strips for a headlight mod and I decided to put up a video showing them. To see what I did with them check out my other videos.

Nice Video! I was considering these and if they are reliable like other Morimoto products they should be an easy choice for anyone else! I'm glad you go into detail... I'll be interested in seeing more about these when mounted.

whats the common black wire polarity you know?
Hey I have the same kit as you . I have everything wired up except the last red positive wire . Do I run this to the fuse box under the hood or is it a circuit somewhere. Sorry for the dumb question I'm not stupid just new to wiring

is there a visible gap in them when you have them illuminated like other types of LED halo rings or are they seamless like a cfl halo ring ? any answer would be appreciated
sole69r That's a tough question to try to answer. I can tell they are closely spaced LED when up close vs. a smooth CFL. From a distance the LED rings make a much sharper ring vs. the soft smooth CFLs. If you want all of the colors I think you have to go with the LEDs, but if you really like that seamless glow then you may prefer to go cfl.
Rad Fox I'll add that these are very tiny precision LED, these are not the typical crap from China which do have a visible gap between the LED when they are on.

Nice video, I don't have a power supply you specifically have so what else can I use? Can I use my car battery? I have LedConcept Halos hat I'm trying to install. Thank you, and sucks that remote didn't come with a battery, lol

I have never checked the direct Morimoto website prices. I bought these from the Retrofitsource. The retrofitsource is uncompromising when it comes to the quality of parts they sell, the honesty when describing their parts, and the service after the purchase. The retrofit source obviously distributes these Morimoto lights and can sell them for what they choose. It is also possible that there is a new version of LED or LED controllers available and prices may have went up.

we're you able to find out if you can change the flashing presets or any of the presets to a user defined color
+francis palagano Sorry, I never found out if you could do anything other than the presets. It's probably possible if you are good with electronics that you might be able to modify or reprogram the controller.

Can one remote control all 4 rings because the set im looking at only comes with 2 rings and so id have to buy 2 sets and have 2 remotes I was jw if I can use just one remote
wesley duncan The morimoto receiver has 3 connections on it. Each connection can power a module that has 2 rings or strips on it. So with the one remote you can control 6 rings. They will all do the same thing if you wire it this way.
I am thinking about installing halo rings and demon eyes for my camry 2014. Q. Is there any way to measure the size of the shroud without opening the headlight yet? So i will know what size of ring i need to buy?
+socal-killerman I dont know of anyway besides opening them up. Maybe you could find a broken headlight at a junkyard to open up and measure if you are unsure.

I dont know if it will fit. You may need to open your headlights and take some measurements to see which ones will fit.

+Newfie Led Man That sucks! Just don't drive with them flashing. Set them to a legal color when driving. When you are parked or on private property you should be able to do whatever color you want. Although, I am not sure on Canada's laws.

no they arn't just can't turn on red or or have anything flashing or changing colour on public roads your fine set to any one colour then red
